Only thing that was a struggle for me was the boat activities (thats just me personally as I’m not confident with being in the water and get motion sickness easily). The boat day was too long and made me feel ill, i think next time I wouldn’t of gone and would do something else instead. The day after, I think I was still sea sick from the day before and went ill on the speed boat, Faye looked after me so well when I felt ill at both times.
Maybe an activity that boost people’s adrenaline will be cool to add on the trip. I noticed there was a zip line in one of the lunch stops we had in Ko Phangan, maybe something like that would be fun to add on.
Guide - Faye is the most loveliest person Ive met. She was professional at her job, she was able to share interesting information about each places. I felt very safe in Faye’s hands.
Jack is a star, very hard worker and made the trip special also.
Kyle and Dan was also good guides, they were a lot of fun! They were so easy to talk to and was approachable when I need to ask any questions.
Overall - I really enjoyed being part of intro travel tour and met amazing people and made new friends. Some wasn’t too sure about being in such a big group, but I liked it as there was such a variety of different people and everyone was getting along.

There is a lot of travelling, however Vietnam is a huge country.
Faye had been a brilliant guide, always willing to go out of her way to make everyone comfortable. My personal highlights were Hoi An and Nimh Binh.

We were never left waiting or wondering what was next or what was going on. Even when the weather turned against us, there was no faults or issues made obvious, everything was just as smooth as before, and we had amazing back up plans! Faye was absolutely incredible and anyone on her tour is in very safe, social & caring hands. I don’t want to leave! Thank you so much Intro for the company you have created!

- Faye would always try to make the group happy and would even go out of her way to ensure you have a good experience on tour
- Bike riding in Ninh Binh and catfishing in Mekong Delta was definitely the highlight of the tour for me
Minus:
- Some places of accommodation were not enjoyable. I had stained bedsheets that looked like it had not been properly washed and had remnants from previous guests. When I informed the staff about the issue, nothing was done to rectify the situation. Some places had no suction fan and window in the bathroom, which meant that ventilation was often quite poor and unpleasant smells would emanate the room after use. Quality of accommodation provided may need a review regarding guest comfort, especially the hostels we stayed at
- Food provided on tour was below average, except for the last farewell dinner.
- Transportation by bus was uncomfortable/extremely bumpy, unsure if it is from the bus driver (who would often run over humps and holes on the road without slowing down) or the bus needs a good maintenance
- More explicit breakdown in the itinerary regarding when food was and was not provided by the tour would ensure better financial planning to potentially avoid any shortfalls
- More time doing the guided kayaking in Ha Long Bay would be appreciated. We stayed there for roughly 20 minutes before needing to head back to the main boat.
- Mekong delta experience needed to include visiting the boat market where people sell various items on their boats.
- Basket weaving could have been substituted by another activity as it was boring
Interesting:
- Good to immerse yourself with a wide range of people from different age groups
- Location for hostel in Ho Chi Minh City was kind of far from everything, not ideally central to shops
- Bring lots of insect repellant, espy for the home stays in Ninh Binh, Mekong Delta and Cu Chi tunnels

She made sure the group was always safe and having fun, which made me feel very at ease the whole tour. The accommodation was clean and very varied, from a boat to a homestay, making it more exciting. A lot of meals and every activity was included so I felt the tour was excellent value for money. Overall I had a great time and if I went on a tour again I would choose Intro Travel!

Great itinerary, the tour flows from partying to activities to travel days seamlessly. Hard to have a highlight day when it was all so good. You catch a lot if highlights of vietnam and get to meet a top bunch of people. Some of the homestays are absolute gems amd the hostel/hotel accomodation was unbelievably better than i would have imagined. Mostly 2-3 per room double beds some hostel accomodation in hanoi but truly mint place to stay. Great meals. Many options and all places we were taken to Faye had great recommendations for what we could eat. Alot of oppurtunity to eat local food or if you miss home to have some hot chips or western food. You dont pay for any food after ho chi min either which is good when you have blown some cash on a few to many cocktails.
Our tour leader Faye isnt guarenteed to run your tour, but you could only be so lucky. Tour was run with the efficiency of the german train system. She looked after everyone while out partying and still was up sprightly the next morning getting everything ready. She has a good sense of humour and a few naughty stories you try get out of her. Much love Faye ♡
Finally the people you will meet on tour is certainly the best part. Whilst at the end of 12 days you might part ways you'll have photos and memories for life. 10/10 i'd give it another crack.

So many excursions and meals were included, we had an engaging, informative and awesome tour guide and the itinerary was action packed, with all the activities contributing to an amazing tour that was well worth the money spent. If I were to partake in a tour for my next travels, Intro would definitely be at the top of my list! One of the highlights of my gap year :)

Considering the money we have all paid for this tour, I was expecting a higher level of accommodation. The transport has been mostly good however some of the buses are very cramped and the ride has been uncomfortable. On the whole I would reccomend this tour to others.

The itinery which covers the main highlights in Vietnam was fantastic. In such a small amount of time I was able to experience the true Vietnamese culture and explore some of the most vibrant cities in Vietnam. It was a perfect mix of culture, adventure and of course nightlife. What's Vietnam without a few shots of rice wine hey!
Cycling through the stunning Ninh Bihn, kayaking through beautiful Halong Bay, catching a catfish with my bare hands (Bear Grylls eat your heart out) and crawling through war tunnels were just some of the fantastic experiences I encountered.
Of course none of this would of been what it was without the fantastic people I met (best friends 4eva) and of course our lovely tour guide Faye.
Having been on a few tours in the past with different companies I can honestly say that Faye has been my favourite guide out of everyone.
She was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and made every experience so much fun.
Her passion for Vietnam really shone through during the tour. The way in which she became so excited and passionate during every explanation or experience we had, made her a truly amazing tour guide.
If you want a true Vietnamese experience I highly urge you to book onto his tour. Intro travel provide such fantastic intineries and it's down to Faye that I have booked another one.

I signed up and the amount that was squeezed in to so few days was impressive, as well as somehow the right amount of downtime and even unreal experiences like the CC Tunnels which I just wouldn’t have been able to do by myself. Faye, our group leader, was unbelievably patient and caring, extremely knowledgable and her infecticious energy kept everyone and everything upbeat, happy and having an incredible time. The others on tour were great and I’ve made some friends for life. Deposit for the next Intro Travel experience has been paid!

Intro travel has obviously put a lot of thought into their trips creating a perfect balance of partying and culture. They've split up the the ways we travel so it's as efficient as possible to tour this beautiful country in the time we had. To tie this whole trip together we have our group leader Faye who was unbelievable, she managed to bring the entire group together as a family pretty much on the first night and keep us together until the last one. She will be out with you having a good time on a night out. She will be haggling down the locals that are maybe a bit too ambitious with their prices. She will be with you when you are ill or down. She will also know when to just leave you to your hangover for a little bit.
The point is you won't regret this trip and you'll be lucky to have Faye with you along the way.

I was worried that I would feel rushed being on a tour but i didn't feel rushed at all and it was the best holiday I have been on with so many fab activities included such as; cat fishing, crab fishing, cycling, kayaking and a cooking class. The tour has a huge variety of transport from boats to over night trains and buses. It has a great balance of nights out and quiet nights in playing card games. The accommodation varies from hostels, hotels and home-stays which were a great way to see how the locals live.
The tour was an amazing way to explore Vietnam and I loved every single minute of it.
Our guide, Faye, definitely made the trip more fun and exciting. She is friendly, caring, funny, supportive, considerate and understanding.

The itinerary is amazing - there has not been a day I haven’t enjoyed and all the activities are really high quality, so you feel like you’ve actually got…I’ve had the absolute best time on this trip. The itinerary is amazing - there has not been a day I haven’t enjoyed and all the activities are really high quality, so you feel like you’ve actually got more than your money’s worth! There’s a really good variety between relaxing days, party days and days to get stuck in with Vietnamese history and culture. Particular highlights include: awesome cooking class in Hoi An, cycling through the rice paddies of Ninh Binh and jumping off boats in Ha Long Bay. Food and accommodation are also really good - and for the meals that aren’t provided they take you to some great cheap restaurants too, so food all round is good.
Faye our tour guide was so awesome and helped out with anything we needed - and also stopped us getting ripped off in markets!
Would massively recommend this trip as a great introduction to Vietnam - I’ve already booked onto the Bali Intro one!

Not to mention Faye our tour guide who went above and beyond to make our trip special, buying us local fruits to try and lanterns in our boat in Hoi An- just little extras which you might not have done if it was off your own back to do. She was so much fun and high energy all the time which makes the group atmosphere so much nicer and makes everyone bond quicker. She also coupled fun with great local knowledge and history of the country- which is important for me to know when I'm seeing sights! All in all I've had so much fun, travelled in so many transports, done so many unique activities and it's all been helped by our fantastic guide Faye. Cheers intro- wicked tour!

What i liked most was cycling in Ninh Binh, the Boat tour and walking up to Dragon View Point. Also the Days in the Mekong Delta were great!

From camping between the misty mountains of Ha Long Bay to walking through the flickering lanterns in Hoi An, there really wasn't a single thing I didn't love in Vietnam.
The tour guide Faye is an amazing person who would go out of her way to ensure everyone was happy and safe. She is someone who genuinely cares about the people she is with and her job and I would happily meet up with her again to go traveling.
Whether you are just traveling Vietnam, or across south east Asia, I would highly recommend this tour. You not only get to explore just a taste of what Vietnam has to offer but you also get to meet some amazing people along the way.

Where to start! This was my first group tour and first time in Vietnam so i didn't have a benchmark to compare anything to! What i can say is that our tour guide Faye was fantastic. She is clearly pas…Where to start! This was my first group tour and first time in Vietnam so i didn't have a benchmark to compare anything to! What i can say is that our tour guide Faye was fantastic. She is clearly passionate about her job and travel and managed to keep tabs on all 19 of us for a whole fortnight.
Faye was always happy to help, knowledgable, actively looked after individual people and seemed to have the patience of a saint in dealing with all of the groups questions and desires whilst managing the trip smoothly and documenting everything with photos. I had a great time on the trip and a lot of that is down to Faye making it an enjoyable experience.
In terms of the tour itself, it's difficult to know what the cost of the tour is to the company vs the profit made so i make the following comments in light of that: the accommodation was generally of a good/reasonable standard but the hotel in Hoi An seemed to have a bit of a damp problem. The accommodation on the desert island wasn't great unfortunately but what do you expect i guess.
I personally would have rather visited Sapa than Nha Trang on the trip, but all other destinations were fantastic.

You see a really good amount of Vietnam for just 13 days without wasting much time traveling because it's usually in the morning, and you have an included flight. I was very surprised by how nice the accommodation was, I didn't expect much other than a bed but all of the hotels were very nice. Faye is an amazing tour guide, she knows what she's doing and keeps things extremely fun and productive. There were a couple days that were free days, but instead of just sitting around Faye planned great things to do such as biking to the beach. She's great! I also really recommend this tour because the day in Da Lat abseiling was such a fun experience. I was so pleased with this tour!

The Maori culture evening was very memorable, and I made my best friends while boating. The various hikes and magnificent landscapes were also wonderful experiences that we never tired of. The icing on the cake was a visit to Hobbiton. The trip could also be customized with additional activities. But thanks to our wonderful guide, the trip was really easy and memorable. The best way to start traveling alone.
