I participated in lots of activities such as visiting the monkey forest and hiking up Mount Batur. The cultural side is fasinating which I encountered through visiting temples, markets and learning how to cook using their methods and ingredients. I have met some incredible people and would recommend this trip to anyone. The only bad thing having to part from the friendships made and leaving such a beautiful place!

The first night meeting everyone was great and help settle any anxiety about the trip and what was to come. The accommodation has been great, better than what i expected to be honest. All the trips were well planned and i could tell they were thoroughly thought out, i enjoyed learning about the culture and the way the locals live and eat etc.
The volcano sunrise walk was incredible and i will never forget the stunning views and how amazing the country is from up there (truly stunning.) Snorkelling was also an experience i will never forget to be so close to the turtles and other tropical marine life was amazing to see, the underwater statues were equally as beautiful. I would like to personally to thank Oli for making this trip what it was, i had gone through a really bad time in my life and this trip and his kindness was just what i needed. I would 100% recommend TruTravels to everyone and i have already discussed my next trip.

I felt that this tour was very well organised, i did not have any hassles. The itinerary is well thought out as i got to not only experience Bali as a beach holiday but also from a cultural point of view. There have been many laughs on this trip and i think we got the best leader he is a bad influence on a night out, but great fun at getting everyone involved.
I would highly recommend this tour. I have nothing negative to say about it, loved the people and the experience.

Ollie kept in constant contact from beginning to end. He was quite open to doing things we wanted to do at night and did not force us to do things we didn't want do to. We didn't feel obligated to stick to the itinerary if we did not wish to. I feel like i've seen a lot of Bali in these 10 days and it was well worth the money. A recommendation would be to limit the age groups perhaps.

The trip was very full on and busy but that was good as it made it possible to fit in many activities in the time we had. I wasn't sure how it would be as a solo traveller but it was great and Ollie made sure everyone was always included i was surprised how nice the accommodation was for a trip aimed at backpackers. The hotels in Canggu and Ubud were especially nice! Would have been good to go to a few cheaper restaurants as a backpacker trip, but that areas we did go to were really nice.

Being on this tour allowed me to not only having fun, but p…Initially I was quite nervous to come on this tour as I haven’t done much international travel, but turns out it was the perfect fit for me! Being on this tour allowed me to not only having fun, but pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone and do things that I wouldn’t normally do. For example, I’m terrified of fish and the snorkeling day was a big step for me but I actually loved every minute.
I loved that we did everything as a group. Every day we did some form of activity and then had dinner together in the evenings. This wasn’t compulsory but everyone enjoyed being in each other’s company and at the end we felt like a little family and was really hard to say goodbye.
Our group leader was Ollie. He normally works in management but came out of ‘retirement’ for our tour and we couldn’t have got on better. From the get go we had a great connection and we were all constantly laughing. He had his work cut out for him with our group being 99% female but he did really well. He always made sure that everyone was happy and made an effort to check up on each person. He happily answered our thousands of questions and joked around with us all, #banter.
I feel that all the activities we did accurately displayed Bali’s culture and locals. We had a few local guides who were all super friendly and very interested to find out about us and our way of life back home. They always had a smile on their faces and you could see how passionate they are about their culture. We did a cooking class one day which was really interesting and fun. Our tour guide invited us into his home and showed us exactly what spices and ingredients they use (most of which he grows at his house) and the process of making a few dishes.
Overall, I would recommend not only the trip but the company to anyone I know. I have nothing bad to say about my trip and is something that I will always remember. What an unforgettable experience!!

It was better then the tour we did in Thailand because Ollie kept us busy all the and gave us suggestions for our free time when we could explore the area.

The trip was completely worth the money, so much stuff included and we are all leaving feeling like a Tru family. Favourite activity was surfing, and it would be hard the pick a memory as its has been a fab all around experience. The hotel at the beginning was really great, very helpful that Ollie helps to arrange onward travel too/ Genuinely feel like TruTravels really care about your well being and overall experience!!

The boat trip and snorkeling with turtles stands out as it was a really nice day on the water. Also the sunsets we saw in Canggu and Gili were stunning. Definitely recommend this trip.

Favourite day was the boat trip, we stopped a good amount of times to snorkel and swim stopping at a beautiful island for lunch. Surfing was also a great day (even though i was awful at it)

However snorkeling and surfing were amazing as well. I'd have to say a stand out memory for this tip was the time spent with the group during the evenings. I think information about the volcano should be given out prior to the trip so that people can bring the appropriate footwear and clothing. Also i think the ferry back from Gili should be included.

Catered for all needs it was spot on, very impressed. I can't pick a stand out moment, surfing & snorkeling were unbelievable days so many fun things i would have never done had i not done this trip. Personally the optional volcano trip was the best thing i have ever done! Absolutely amazing once in a lifetime experience that i will never forget, great value & Ollie sorted it all for us efficiently, if you do this tour you have to do it. My favourite activity was the optional climb up the volcano. The views were out of this world, definitely one of the best things i've ever done, highly recommend to everyone. My favorite activity had to be the surfing as i've never tried it before and got loads from the lesson, it was really fun. I thought this trip was much more enjoyable than the 18 day tour i did in Thailand. I feel i have done a lot more activities in a shorter space of time. Ollie made a huge effort to ensure we all did things as a group all the time, making it feel like a big family.

Cooking class standouts as my favourite, Wayan and his family are so lovely and really encouraging & passionate about their food and culture it was great to see real life Balinese traditions and to be welcomed so warmly into it. Great amount of time spent at each location so you got to know and see as much of the area as possible before moving on. Ollies great a real credit to TruTravels and should totally audition for Broadway Jesus.

The tour has the right mix or chill and activities, despite loosing our original tour guide after our first night TruTravels dealt with it efficiently and ensured it didn't disrupt our tour. I've had an absolute ball i feel like our group became a little family. Walking Mt Batur was amazing although this wasn't part of the tour it was offered as an extra. Ollie sorted it for us and worked it into out itinerary for the day. Crossing over with other groups was a good opportunity to get to know the other tour guides but doesn't always work. Maybe you could introduce a beach day.

Good mix of cultural experiences, time to relax and great places to go out. The tour leaders are very informative and great fun. My favourite activity was the cooking class as it was so nice to see the process of growing the rice, then going to the market to buy all the ingredients. We cooked such a variety of food which was delicious and they were very accommodating for allergies. Wayans family is lovely. I enjoyed everywhere we went out and meeting up with other groups was really fun.

Overall trip was fantastic, i felt TruTravels dealt very well following Kelseys accident and that it didn't disrupt our trip so credit to the team.

I couldn't choose a favourite activity as they were all great, the 2 that stood out the most would have been surfing and the cooking class. Such a friendly group of people made it feel like you were on holiday with friends, not people you'd just met. would have liked some famous/ well known beaches however overall a great experience.

Group leaders Kelsey Hilner and Oliver are not the best leaders. I wouldn't recommend going with this group of travelers on this tour are very young and they don't know anything about traveling. Best thing is to do this travel by yourself and that way you are not restricted to a itinerary that takes place in middle of the day so you would have pretty much waist all day for one tour. Plus everything in this tour expect the lowest quality of everything. Bali is already cheap by itself but they even choose something even cheaper so you would face situation like a big spider in the hotel room, acoomdations that is so far from the city etc... I wouldn't recommend this bali trip for my worst enemy and i wish i had done it by myself i would've gotten more out of it with the money that i paid them.

Kelsey and Ollie, my tour guides, were approachable and a great time, but also extremely professional when managing our itinerary. They had a great working dynamic and their personalities complimented each other. They definitely brought our group closer together and created a fun vibe the entire time. Their staff was excellent and I was surprised to hear that it was Kelsey’s first tour. She was brilliant! I absolutely loved Bali and can’t wait to revisit this beautiful island again. Without Tru Travels, I wouldn't have experienced all the adventurous day activities, sightseeing, and night life during my very limited time there. It was great to experience this once-in-a-lifetime trip with so many like-minded adventurous people. I'm looking forward to my next winter vacation with Tru Travels.

Everything was planned for and I didn't have to stress about scheduling because it was all handled by our tour guides and the company. Kelsey & Ollie were hands down the best tour guides! They were so approachable and energetic, but extremely professional when handling our itineraries. The two of them had a great dynamic and their personalities worked really well together. I was so surprised to hear that it was Kelsey's first time leading a tour. She did great! Our group was amazing and everyone shared a fun loving chemistry. If I traveled by myself, I definitely would have missed out on Bali's beautiful landscape, adventurous activities, and wild nightlife. Tru Travels blended the entire experience beautifully. I can't wait for my next winter vacation because I'm planning on trying another Tru Travels tour.

I was concerned that our tour guide would be your standard douchey stoner type who talks about peace and love all the time. Now, even though Ollie looks exactly like that type, he was actually amazing. He made it really great and super fun looking after the whole group. He was serious when he needed to be but really well informed and always made it fun. Top man, really great holiday!

Our tour leader Ollie was an absolute treat! Easy going, down-to-earth, highly informative and organized - it was an pleasure having him guide us through the tour. The overall accommodation on tour surpassed my expectations, every location was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Tru Travels to anyone who is thinking of taking a trip (cost effective, reliable, great fun) - I'll most definitely be booking with Tru Travels in 2018 - thanks guys!

I did the 10 day bali tour. And I recommend it to everyone! It sounds very cheesy but without jokes this was one of the most beautiful experiences from my life. Everything was super well arranged hotels and the places we went to eat, the excursions everything was really amazing. The warning on the website about an extreme depression on returning home after one of the trips is unfortunately true. The first thing I did when I was at home is to see what next trip I'm going to make!

I have a parshal disability with my back after slipping two disks in an accident a couple of years ago and have to …Ollie was the most amazing tour guide! I honestly couldn't wish for anything better. I have a parshal disability with my back after slipping two disks in an accident a couple of years ago and have to use a walking stick. He always looked after me and one day I had to go to the hospital due to a flare up in pain and Ollie constantly stayed by my side and communicated very well with the local clinic and hospital doctors and staff and helped me through the whole thing including insurance and prescriptions. He was so lovely and fun and always kept up great moral with our group and everything was organised and coordinated perfectly. Ollie got to know every single member of the group, leaving no one out, even while he was mentoring Chevvy who was also brilliant. It was so clear that Ollie loved what he was doing and loved Bali. I can't thank him enough for helping me enjoy the best 10 days of my life and making some new very good friends who I've have already planned to meet up with in Manchester and London. Cheers Ollie, I'm definitely coming back to Bali, hope to see you there! Emma.

I enjoyed all of the activities. I must say it was a good mix between relaxing and still traveling in a short time and seeing the important things. I looooooved our accommodation at every place! But I must say just two places (Canggu&Ubud) wasn't enough in Bali. You can't just go to this two places and say I did "the Bali experience of my life". The food wasn't included (except the breakfast), which was fine because we always went out for lunch and dinner in our big groups. The restaurants were really good (maybe sometimes too expensive for Indonesia but still worth it). The Transport was just more than good! There were always busses or bigger cars which picked us up in front of our hotels. In total I would say that I would love to do another tour with that company in another Asian country! With no expectations lead to no disappointments… but I can’t lie I had high expectations and I was very excited for my adventure in Bali. Fortunately I was not dissatisfied and essentially the tour exceeded my expectations. From the get go Ollie (our tour leader) made the trip something special. I particularly liked his laid back approach, he was engaged, knowledgeable and very organised. Ollie’s extraverted and open personality made everybody in the group feel comfortable and kept us all laughing. The itinerary was not overwhelming which allowed us some time to go off and explore on our own. Though the activities we did experience as a group were brilliant and each day was distinctive. My favourite place to visit was Ubud, from the monkey forest, climbing Mt. Batur to exploring the local markets and cooking with Wayan (the local guide) and his family. If you are someone who loves to experience the local culture as well as the social side of Bali then I would definitely recommend this tour. Bali and the Gili Islands as a whole were beautiful and picturesque. Likewise, the accommodation and the food! The only downfall I must mention is that the leaving dinner was a bit of a let down and something that TruTravels may want to reconsider. Ultimately we wanted to leave with a bang however the atmosphere was poor at dinner. Luckily the last night out in Gili made up for it! Ollie really went above and beyond on this tour and it was an absolute pleasure getting to know him and all the amazing people on the tour. Thank you TruTravels for an awesome Bali experience.

Olly saw to help build a good group dynamic from the offset and continued to bond everyone together throughout. He organised and led all activities in a very non-mothering, layed back way. When unavoidable changes to the plan happened (boats to gili being cancelled) he sought to adapt on the spot to get us where we needed to be, even in one case having to lay out some money from his own pocket. He was a excellent guide who seemed to know all the locals in Bali (maybe he was just guessing since they only had 4 names!). Bali was beautiful with lovely people. The food was brilliant, hotels better than expected on such a trip and fully packed with activities which were arranged so you can come and go as you please; although you'd be a fool to miss any. You'd be hard pushed to complete the trip solo on the same budget as the tour. A great guide and great tour. Be prepared for wavy garms

We saw every single site that we wanted to with TruTravels and had loads of time to go experience the culture and nightlife on top of it. Everyone was treated equally and there was a sense of inclusivity throughout the duration of the tour. Our tour guide Drew was fantastic and very accommodating to the desires of everyone on the tour. Part way through the tour we were joined by another group leader, Ollie, who was "learning the ropes" of how the tour is run so that he could run his own. So not only did we have one great tour guide, but rather two amazing tour guides who made this vacation one that we will never forget.

You could tell he wanted to show off the beauty of Bali! The cooking class in Ubud was amazing and also the surfing was fab as everyone involved tried really hard to help the group as much as possible! Gili was probably my favourite few days though as although the weather wasn't on our side the nights out were brill! Drew and Oli stayed out with us until we were ready to go which to be honest was not expected but they made sure they stayed with us so we could finish our night safely.. they also seemed like they really enjoyed actually being with us.. unlike some tour guides I've experienced before. The accommodation was great, only bad thing I would say is how smelly the bed sheets were in Ubud. Apart from that it was amazing, you won't find better tour guides than Drew & Oli they really went above and beyond to make sure we were more than happy. The only downside is that the tour is advertised as a 10 day tour which it isn't, it was more like 8 days & 9 nights as the first evening only included a dinner & day 9 only involved check out.

All accomadation was very clean (even if you did have to wash in a barrel of water in koh sok which was actually a laugh! The hostels and hotels get better and better as the trip goes on! be prepared for the overnight train (bring hand sanitizer and lots of it) but it's all part of the experience and be prepared to never want to look at another bucket or booze in your life after the tour is over haha onto the best part of the trip, our tour guide Ollie, an absolute gem of a guy! Did everything and more and nothing was ever and issue or a problem to him! So much so we are requesting him to be our guide on our next trutravels adventure! Ollie our tour guide picked me up from the airport. My arrival was different. Bangkok was overloaded with people in black clothes. They mourned the deceased King Bhumibol. It was an once in a lifetime experience.
After Bangkok we have visited Koh Sok national park, Koh Phangang, Koh Tao, Railey Beach, Koh Phi Phi and Phuket.
I am very excited to tell you about my whole expierience, but then you will be reading until next year, so my favourites places were Koh Phangang and Koh Tao. These islands are beautiful. On Koh Tao we did snorkling, there are so many colourful fish in the sea. They have great restaurants and nice bars. On Koh Phangang we stayed on Bottle beach for one night. This was almost a private beach where we spent an evening all dancing, singing and drinking together with our close group of friends. Eight of us only did the 8 day tour. The last two nights together we spent in a very nice hostel Echo Beach. When I go back I will visit them.
Saying goodbye to the people we just met was very hard. A part of the group was missing for the rest of the tour. The last 10 days we saw a lot, traveled a lot and we got to know each other better and better.
I finished our tour with pain in my stomach. I didn't wanna go home anymore. But we promised to visit each other and we will!

The floating bungalows and bottle beach were absolutely amazing and I was in awe.
The accommodation at Kua Phanang - -echo beach was lovely so clean and comfortable with a lovely restaurant close by.
Bangkok was an experience in itself,the tour of the temple was fantastic and our tour guide Muaye was just the best and so attentive to everyone. The accommodation in Bangkok could of been a bit better.
Needless to say I have made some lifelong friends from within the group and I thank all of them for making my trip as well great bunch of buddies.

Other than that I really enjoyed thew tour, the guides were great, liked all the accommodation and activities included. Sad to be home :(

They have been friendly and helpful. They have recommended places and activities to do and have always answered our questions. I would like to say a big thank you to Ollie for being supportive, teaching me about the culture and being an amazing tour guide. However I do feel that due to the trip being in Thailand, we should have gone to more cheap Thai restaurants instead of westernised restaurants. When booking the trip, we went through STA Travel. I am disappointed with STA due to the incorrect information given. When I asked STA how much spending money to budget for a month on the trip, I was told £500 would be more than enough and that I would live like a queen. However, this is not enough for a month. The tour includes most transport and some activities however when getting to Koh Tao, everything was an extra 1,000Baht etc. Therefore STA should be told to tell customers that £700-£1000 is plenty! Another suggestion is the duration the group spend at each place. A week in Koh Phangan is far too long! I understand over the full moon party period you have to spend a few extra days. But 4 days in Koh Phangan is enough. I would have enjoyed to spend more time in Phi Phi or 2 nights at bottle beach! Overall, I have really enjoyed my trip and will recommend the trip to my friends! It is an excellent way to meet others if you are traveling alone! I also found it very useful that I did not have to worry about which ferry or train to get due to the tour guides taking the pressure off you. This really makes the whole tour feel more like a holiday you can relax on! I have learnt and completed activities I would not have done if I did not go on the tour. Thank you again to Oliver, Harry and Suttisak!

We had Ollie and Harry as our group leaders and by the end of it all they felt more like brothers. I don’t think there was any question they couldn’t answer and were very knowledgeable about the country’s history and culture. The entire time, you feel like you are part of this huge family, even when you’re jumping from city to city.
It’s great that they have set activities for the tour, however, you aren’t obligated to participate if there are other things you would like to get involved in – it’s all up to you. I would recommend sticking to the itinerary because you might miss out of some of the best experiences of your life. I’m pretty sure I would not have been able to experience floating bungalows in Khao Sok, or sleeping in a hut on bottle beach, or chilling in waterfalls at Than Sadet-Ho Phangan National Park if I tried to build a trip on my own.
I’d say the only con is that there are some fun activities not included in the pricing that it would be nice to have been made aware of beforehand so that we could budget for them. For example, we had to pay 600baht for a ping pong show, which was great, but then some days later, there was a muay thai event which was also 600baht (approx. 13GBP). I couldn’t attend that as it fell outside my budget but had I known beforehand, I definitely would have chosen that over the ping pong show. So really, it would probably be beneficial to get a head start by asking your guides what are some of the optional activities that will pop up during your trip so that you could budget ahead of time. It’s completely worth it.
Overall, best tour company I’ve traveled with so far. Can’t wait to book another tour!

In two weeks we became best friends and it was a hard time leaving each other. My other guides Harry and Art were also amazing. Ollie, Harry and Art always made a party of everyday but where also there for you if something went wrong. The trip itself was just as awesome. The taxis were there on time and I didn't have to think about anything expect for my backpack. We did so many fun things in two weeks and saw so much of Thailand. I met so many new people and experienced so many new things. Trutravels arranged everything so well. I'm definitly in for a next travel with Trutravels! X

I wasn't quite sure what I had gotten myself into, but it definitely fulfilled and exceeded all expectations. We spent just the right amount of time in Bangkok. Then visited beautiful places in succession. Koh Sok (it rained the whole time but if anything it added to the atmosphere), bottle beach, Koh Phangan (wanted to stay forever), Koh Tao, Railay and Phi Phi. TruTravels really have selected an amazing route with places, whilst travelling on your own you may never have got to see.
As for the tour guides... They were all absolutely amazing and made the trip what it was along with the crazy people I met on the tour. Ewan and Oli covered the first 8 days together and everything ran so smoothly from the off. They are two of the friendliest guys I have ever met that had a group of around 30 and made it feel like one big family. Both of them go above and beyond for everyone. Whatever or whenever you need anything, whether it be a friendly chat at 3am or the exact number of steps to the nearest 7/11... they got your back! They are both really knowledgeable about all the places you visit, not just pretty faces. Oli was our full moon guide with all the guides about looking out for us, they're not just there because they have to be. Andrew then took over for those of us that stayed for the 10 days of Island hopping, along with our Thai guide, Art. Again, two of the kindest guys you will ever meet. They took us to the best food digs and live music bars ever. If Andrew tells you food or a bar is good, it is good. Never seen someone appreciate music so much in my life, if there's music playing, he is dancing (free entertainment, best with bowling socks on). Any extra activities you want to do, they will hook you up. If you want to know anything, Art knows everything.
Can't thank all the guides enough for being hilarious and lovely... not to mention doing all the boring stuff that involves actually getting to all these places for us. Experience of a lifetime, only tip I would give is to not eat out all the time in restaurants because the local Thai food places are so cheap and have the best food! Also don't worry too much if you misplace your shoes in Koh Phangnan, everyone walks around bare foot anyway.

From being in Bangkok to working our way toward… Ollie and Ewan, my tour guides did such a great job at guiding us through the hustle and bustle of Bangkok to giving us advise and being awesome dudes. From being in Bangkok to working our way towards the islands, it was an experience to say the least, but a memorable one and amazing one! This tour is probably the best I've ever been on and I would recommend anyone to join the tour! You know it's a good tour when you don't even want to leave when the tour is done. I had the pleasure to meet really awesome people who enjoy traveling just as much as I do. FYI: when buying buckets of alcohol..pace yourself, eats loads of pad thai, always wear sun cream and beware of the fire boys haha

Travelling as a girl on my own was initially daunting and when I landed in Bangkok I was unsure where to go so called the number on my joining instructions and My tour guide Ollie helped me find my driver straight away.
From the outset Ollie has been so helpful he worked so hard getting everyone together and planning dinners, nights out and games for our group. We had a large group of 28 with 24 being girls. Initially I was worried the group would not gel as there was so many girls but it was completely opposite.
Ollie is a great asset to Tru Travels , His passion for Thailand is infectious and really added to my experience. Ollie knows the thai culture and explained everything to us on the first day so we all felt safe and knew what to do and what not to do. He knew all the staff at the hotels on a personal level and would introduce the group to them making our experience better as we were meeting and speaking to local people. Ollie was more of a friend than a tour guide and I felt I could go to him with any question I had and rarely if he didn't know the answer he would find out for me .
My first experience of Thailand has been amazing thanks to the tru travels tour . I work for a tour operator in the UK dealing with lots of tour companies and although they do not have contracts with Tru Travel. I will certainly be recommending to my friends.

My only complaints would be that we weren't given much information with regards to the history of any of our destinations, so perhaps this trip isn't one for the history lovers, and that booking all of these events and accommodation is a cheap thing to do. Would recommend this tour and these guides to anyone who prefers group travel, otherwise go travelling freelance!

I read so many reviews on here before I chose this tour and they all said these amazing things but I was still unsure as I've been travelling alone and wasn't sure what a tour would be like. But it was the best decision ever to go with Trutravels. My guides were amazingg Ollie and Ewan, they didn't feel like guides but more like really knowledgable friends that know all the best places to go. I had so many experiences on this tour that I never would have had travelling alone and got to experience so much great places in Thailand in a short time without having to worry about a thing. They looked after us the entire time which meant we could just focus on partying, having the time of our lives and making friends for life without having to worry about when our ferry was or what bar to go to or anything actually. The company were so helpful and replied to my questions right away from the start and I honestly can't reccomend this enough. I left this tour with memories for life, heartbroken to be leaving my group and so sad that my time with Trutravels was over. Thank you Ewan and Ollie for making my trip awesome! Best tour ever.

I didn't really know what to expect of Thailand, but I did not expect to see the most beautiful and insane place I have ever been to. I couldn't of asked for a better bunch of tour guides and people to share my time with. Harry was so helpful and made us feel right at home. The others at Echo and Ollie & Ewan are just as friendly and awesome. I would not of changed any of my experience for the world, and I honestly urge you to book onto this tour. It could change your life like it has mine.

Ollie and Andrew, Two very down to earth guys who work extremely well together and due to them being able to bounce of each other, it then rubs off onto us on tour. Instantly meeting Ollie he greeted me and made me feel welcome, however I do think the Doritos I bought over from England broke the ice :) Andrew was the same, bubbly and very funny. he actually is a joy to be around. I would find it almost impossible to be sad around the pair of them. It was an experience I'll never forget and I will most certainly book another tour with Trutravels and also advise others to do the same. The accommodation was awesome, The group were fantastic and I made some amazing memories with the people we met. I can't praise these guys enough. I'll look forward to my next trip :)

Although there was a fair bit of travelling around on boats and in mini vans it was all so worth it. Ollie took us to Koh Tao, such a friendly easy to talk to person, we met Drew there who took us on the last half of the tour and again so friendly and fun loving! Can't speak highly enough of all the 'professional friends' as Amy likes to be called they all went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Will definately be looking at other TruTravels tours when I decide to go on another adventure! Cheers guys xx

We've spent the first week with our guide Amy Maria Grey and she is the most wonderful guide I've ever experiened to have. She took us to amazing places, always told us the most interesting things bout them, bout culture, bout Thai people and everything. I chose to travel as a group so that I didn't have to worry about getting from place to place as everything was already organised, Ollie was great at making sure everything ran smoothly. I enjoyed taking part in activities I wouldn't have done if I was on my own. I was really impressed with the accommodation, it was much better than I expected. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the tour to others.

Ps their was a gentlemen named Uwen on the tor who was potentially getting the job as a tour guide to. I feel I must also give him a good review as he was was brilliant! Although he was not yet our tour guide he was fantastic at organising and making good decisions. And would definatley like him as my tour guide along with Ollie! If it is a bigger tour they are defiantley a good pair to put together.

You can do so many optional activities like rock climbing and scuba diving, which is all organised for you. Most of the accommodation was really nice hostels and hotels, and even the night train was a good experience! I'm so glad I booked this tour, Ollie even arranged my airport transfer for me afterwards and helped with booking flights which was so helpful. Couldn't recommend this tour enough, do it!!

Being the only other male on the tour we propped up the testosterone side of the group and he is one of the friendliest guys you will meet. Oli did a sublime job of helping everyone blend and building a great atmosphere between what became great friends. He was always very approachable and capable of tending to people's needs like a dressed down Florence Nightingale with a couple of tatts. Oli really ensured my tour very enjoyable and he has a fantastic personality which will certainly make any future tours epic too! I wish I could go back someday to tour with Oli, whether he's swaggering like Tarzan to a waterfall or sitting down for a couple of Chang's it will always be a good time! So where do I start.......LOL. When we first signed up for a Tru Travels type experience, I was very skeptical. I was not a big fan of the whole " having a tour guide, following a schedule while on va…So where do I start.......LOL. When we first signed up for a Tru Travels type experience, I was very skeptical. I was not a big fan of the whole " having a tour guide, following a schedule while on vacation type of deal". But let me tell you, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were in Thailand for about 3 weeks but unfortunately only got a chance to sign up for the 8-day tour as we already planned out the rest of our trip. If i knew what to expect ahead of time, I would have booked my whole vacation with these guys. This is perfect for but not limited to first-time travellers who don't know what to expect when travelling to Asia or even if you just don't want to create your own itinerary this would be ideal since everything is sorted out for you. There are various packages available of which we chose the 8-day. it included visiting local temples and getting blessed by a monk (if your lucky), spending time in beautiful destinations like bottle beach, or khao sok national park. Places which if you were on your own, chances are you would very likely miss. This isn't a just business type of deal where you pay for the tour, meet up with a monotone tour guide whose holding a megaphone and pointing left and right informing you of what each building is. This group makes you feel like family right from the start. Literally day 1 is for the group to meet up for the first time and get to know eachother. I had the honour of having Ollie (Oliver L) as my tour guide, and let me tell you he started off as my tour guide but by the time we hit day 2/3 he became one of my brothers, well cousin to be more precise lol. Ollie was very accommodating, anytime we needed anything throughout the trip he made sure it was taken care of. Even on our last leg of the tour, he arranged all the necessary commuting for us as we had another city we were moving onto within Thailand. Also met Luke and Matt (Fellow Canuck) as well who are also cool. Everybody has a very chill vibe which makes it really easy to get along which gives it a family like vibe right away. At the end of the day, I would highly recommend Tru Travels to anyone who is looking for a tour group, in fact i already have recommended them to a few close friends who are planning their first Thailand trip because i am confident they will have the same if not better experience that I did. I did the Bali Experience tour and …This was my first experience alone on what people say traveling and really is fair to say it was the best time of my life so far as I don´t remember being as happy! I did the Bali Experience tour and felt that the trip was perfect, no wonder why is the favorite one of our guide, Ollie. From day 1 to last everything did seem to be just perfect! Meet and incredible group of people that quickly seem to get all along with each other. The activities that were scheduled for the trip were interesting, organized and fun which I think there is a lot of work behind that needs to be recognized. The free time left for everyone to do what they like and wonder around it seem to be also good balanced with all the activities that together with the hotels, transport and the local hospitality made that trip a mark on my heart forever. Going back to our guide, Ollie I would like to say that he was just absolutely brilliant, making such an impression with his job that has made me want to become one of you!
