This tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Honestly, it was the most fun I’ve ever had. I had the privilege of meeting our 2 wonderful tour guides Ali and Gogi, who made the trip unforgetta…This tour was one of the best experiences of my life. Honestly, it was the most fun I’ve ever had. I had the privilege of meeting our 2 wonderful tour guides Ali and Gogi, who made the trip unforgettable. All of the trips and visits were amazing and I feel like I have experienced the best that Northern Thailand has to offer. The elephant sanctuary was the most incredible experience of my life and I will never forget it. Erawan waterfalls were also a once in a lifetime experience! A must do on this trip! Now to the most important part - a special mention to the fantastic Ali and Gogi. They are 2 of the most genuine people I have ever met. The make it their business to get to know everyone and check in with everyone at all time. Our guide was pretty big with 23 people and both Ali and Gogi treated everyone with respect and kindness. Their job is a 24 hour a day one for 14 days and they both have expressed how much they love what they do. I had an accident during the trip and both Ali and Gogi looked after me brilliantly. They checked on my injuries daily and cleaned and dressed it everyday. I’m so grateful to have had such friendly and attentive guides. I feel like I’ve made friends for life in them and some of my tour mates! Also I special shout out to Jarvis and his son Vill from the village stay. Jarvis helped me throughout the trek and constantly ensured everyone was happy and ok. Wonderful people! I will never forgot this experience mainly because of Ali and Gogi being incredible! Thank you both so much! You deserve a huge pay rise and bonus!!!!

Our tour guides were Gogi and Ali and we couldn’t have had 2 better tour guides. They were so knowledgeable about the whole trip and also so caring at the same time. You could ask them anything and they would be more than happy to help. They truly made the trip so much more enjoyable!

For example, I lost my GoPro battery pack and both tour guides were more than happy to help with getting it back to me. There were so many fantastic activities like the jungle trek and village stay, waterfalls, elephant experience, bamboo rafting, night market and many more! Every day was an adventure and all of the activities were so well organised and thought out. Our tour guides were Gogi and Ali and they went above and beyond giving us a great trip! They took us to optional extra activities too- wild nights out, the best restaurants and were always so smiley and friendly. They looked after everyone on the trip AMAZINGLY! It was also so fun travelling with such a lovely group of people. I have absolutely loved this unforgettable tour!

They looked after us so well and answered every questions we asked. They kept us up to date every day on a facebook group chat which super helpful. In Pai, I was very ill after a night out and was taken to hospital. Oneway stayed at the hospital all day waiting for me to be let out which was so so kind of him. Gogi came to the hospital to walk back to the hotel with me. They both translated and explained everything the doctor said to me. I couldn't fault them that day. They were fun and upbeat the whole trip and always made sure we were happy. Every night they took us for dinner and if we wanted to go out they took us to bars or recommended good places to go. They also let us have our own time if we were tired or just wanted to chill which was very much appreciated.

Both Gogi and Oneway were fantastic tour guides and gave me an experience of a lifetime. When Oneway had to leave for personal reasons and Gogi has to lead us on his own, he looked after us so so well making sure we were all okay, having a good time, getting us to the activities and just being an amazing individual. Both Gogi and Oneway are very considerate and caring, making sure everyone was happy and making sure everyone had their own experience to suit them. If some people wanted to stay home and one wanted to go explore, they would go explore with them, even if they didn't want to. They came out to dinner every night with us even though that's not what they have to do. I couldn't recommend highly enough both of them as they have been incredible. I hope they go very far in this job as they deserve everything and more. I will be recommending the trip and tour to everyone I know. Can't thank Gogi mostly enough as he spent more time with us and kept us all together and coped with us. Loved every second :)

Everything we saw on the tour was breathtaking - What i believe to be a Tru Thailand Experience. The accommodation and transport were great. It was nice to experience how people get around and see how they live. I loved the whole group Gogi and Darrin. A truly amazing experience, memories which i will cherish forever. I love Khao sok national park and the Floating bungalows was the highlight of an awesome trip which had lots of great bits, like Surfing,full moon, jungle party,scuba diving,ATV,Slip N fly.
Gogi and Gun were however great and i appreciate all their hardwork and effort.

I love scuba diving was my favorite activity and one of bucket list and I'm happy to have done it, And
Phuket surf house was also very fun too.
The trip was nice, sometime tiring but it was worthwhile and tour guide all made sure i was having fun and enjoying and provide alternative when we were bored and i thank them so much.

I really enjoyed the tour and gogi was excellent but I think some of the things listed in the itinerary were misleading. Such as 'dinner on us in the best spot in town' in koh phangan ended up being c…I really enjoyed the tour and gogi was excellent but I think some of the things listed in the itinerary were misleading. Such as 'dinner on us in the best spot in town' in koh phangan ended up being cold BBQ food in a hostel. Also, we were meant to go on a boat on our last day. At the start of our trip we were told by another guide (not with our tour) that the boat was broken. Up until 6pm the day before we were told about how amazing the boat tour was going to be, then at 7pm we were told the boat was broken. I just wish we were told this sooner. Thankfully gogi brought us quad biking which was great. But we were meant to have unlimited drinks and a free lunch on the last day which we didn't get. I know the quad biking was probably expensive but in scenarios like that I think you should allocate more money so that what we do fits the itinerary. We had to pay for our own food and drink the last day which was meant to be on you. Other than that it was an amazing tour and gogi was great they were just a couple of things that I wish were done differently :)

We got to see so many amazing things that i would not have seen coming to Thailand alone like Khao Sok National Park and Bottle Beach.Our group leaders Gogi and Art topped off the experience, making it fun and provided us with all the information. My favourite part of the trip was Khao Sok floating bungalows, such an amazing experience and we spent the whole day laughing and playing games together. It was hilarious. Bottle Beach was also a highlight it was such a beautiful place. Gogi and Art were so amazing and provided us with lots of information and fun. They were always up for a laugh. It was a pleasure to spend the first 8 days with them.

what was favorite activities and memory of the trip It's hard to say are we did so much but Koh Tao tour was amazing,love the floating bungalow in the national park really enjoyed the whole activities though are made the best friend,was such a grest group.

The only criticism i would be to ask for more activities in Railey included rather than just a kayaking trip, while there are soo many more things to do.

"Kao Sok" national park was absolutely beautiful and something that i think is very unique to this tour.
Another major highlight was the few days we spent in "koh tao",such a beautiful place with amazing
sun sets and view points.
A massive thank you to the tour guide. "Gogi" tour us all the way through the 18 days and it was really lovely to see his confidence and passion for the job grow, really lovely, caring guy.

In a short amount of time, I feel like we did a lot of amazing adventures that was full of variety from going to the temples, jungle trekking, and partying! I had an amazing experience growing more as a person and meeting amazing women on this tour that have inspired me to continue my travels! thanks again for this amazing experience. I think the only thing that would have made it better would have been if the tour guides had a gopro that they could use on the beaches part of the tour! ( ;

I was originally looking for tours of South East Asia and was intending to book South East Asia On A Shoestring with G Adventures. However, my friend then recommended this tour to me instead as she lo…I was originally looking for tours of South East Asia and was intending to book South East Asia On A Shoestring with G Adventures. However, my friend then recommended this tour to me instead as she loved it. I checked it out it’s so much better value for money. In this tour all your accommodation, transport (bar the odd taxi for nights out) and activities are all included. You never have to worry about missing out on something because you’ve run out of money (Thailand is so cheap anyway) and it’s great because the group gets to stay together. It’s why Tru becomes a big family.
We had a lovely group of 11 of us for the northern tour and 5 for the beaches. We went 25 February-18 March 2018. The weather was fab - only a couple tropical storms the whole time.
Our tour guides were the amazing Delaney, Mickey and Gogi. They were fantastic, great fun, always helping out when we had any questions or needed a little tlc (I recommend stocking up on Dramamine, carbon tablets and electrolytes whilst your stomach adjusts to Thai food and the overnight trains). They were always exactly what we needed. They feel more like friends than tour guides. I’ll miss them when I go home tomorrow.
The tour itself was an amazing mix of stunning temples, waterfalls, zip lining and beaches to name a few. It’s a great way to explore Thailand to get into the culture and adventure. My only regret is that I missed out on some of the activities as my tummy is too sensitive for Asia - need to eat more curries back home! Most people were fine the majority of the time though so don’t worry.
Definitely bring a backpack for this tour and don’t bring too many clothes as they’re crazy cheap and cute out here. Also the massages are superb - 300 baht/£6-7 for an hour oil massage.
Definitely check this tour out. And if you fancy making it a little wilder you can always add on the full moon package in Koh Phangan.
In terms of getting home you can get a ferry to Koh Samui for 200 baht (50mins) and then get a domestic flight back to Bangkok and then home. Hope this helps anyone thinking of booking with Tru!

The hill tribe trek and elephant sanctuary were phenomenal experiences, and the day spent zip lining really exceeded my expectations. The accommodations were nice and the provided meals were delicious. In all, I would 10/10 recommend this trip to anybody interested in Thailand! Definitely worth it, and you'll meet awesome people!
