Great informative tour
5 Day Cultural Adventure of Kyoto, Nara & OsakaWhen paired with a place like Japan, the word essential is a powerful one, and the 7 Day Essential Japan itinerary lived up to that. It didn't apologize for its decisions and didn't pad its program, traversing the land with a quiet assurance that every experience that it had in it was truly deserving of its inclusion. A week of touring Japan might be a blur of checking off the list of the must-sees taken and never remembered. This itinerary didn't even pursue the possibility of that. Tokyo was visited, but not superficially, so that it was not just explored, but that it was felt. When it came time to come to Kyoto, the city's temples and traditional streets fit the bill perfectly. The most important part of the seven days was the way in which these places were visited or not visited, the idea was not to rush through these places, but to take time and enjoy them in a way which enabled one to feel something more akin to a visit than to a holiday.
