Oh my gosh, the overall trip was fabulous! I would totally recommend the whole Argentina/Brazil tour !And Tangol Tours took care of every aspect of it ,before trip and one day before every activity, in the most professional and swift manner! And thank you very much for everything Axel !! Two minor requests that I had and they were both dealt immediately, the one the very next day and the other in 15 minutes!! And always ,but always they were notifying you in advance via whatsapp before an activity was about to take place Icing in the cake was sending me a box of chocolates as a thank you, to my hotel room in Buenos Aires ! Minor Suggestion : Hotel in Iguazu Falls did not have a mini fridge and had 3 taps in the shower!! The issue was slightly inconvenient ,so if there is anything you can do about that, please do so (for comparison the hotels in Buenos Aires/Rio were awesome in every aspect!)

What our customers ask about Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil Tours & Trips
How much time should I spend in each major city?
A well-planned South American itinerary needs careful time allocation. Buenos Aires deserves 3-4 days to explore the colorful streets of San Telmo and La Boca. The Alvear Palace Hotel serves as an ideal base in the city center. Montevideo calls for 2-3 days. This allows time to wander through Ciudad Vieja and sample local delicacies at Mercado del Puerto while staying at the Sofitel Montevideo Casino Carrasco. Rio de Janeiro needs 4-5 days to balance iconic attractions with beach time at Copacabana and Ipanema. The Copacabana Palace Hotel provides a convenient location for city exploration. As one TourRadar traveler noted "the variety of experiences" made their multi-city itinerary worthwhile.
What's the best way to experience Iguazu Falls?
The full grandeur of Iguazu Falls reveals itself when visiting both the Brazilian and Argentine sides. The Belmond Hotel das Cataratas offers exclusive access to the falls. Brazil's side delivers wide-angle views while Argentina's network of walkways brings visitors close to the cascading water. The optional Zodiac boat ride adds an exciting perspective from below. Most visitors spend two days here dividing time between both countries. A TourRadar traveler described "the thundering masses of water" as an unforgettable sight.
What unique cultural experiences can I have in these countries?
South America's cultural fabric comes alive through various experiences. Uruguay's traditional estancias welcome visitors to participate in gaucho life and horseback riding. Buenos Aires offers tango lessons and shows at historic venues like Café Tortoni. Rio's guided favela tours such as visits to Rocinha provide cultural understanding while the Lapa neighborhood pulses with samba rhythms. Heritage properties like the Alvear Palace and Belmond Copacabana Palace add a layer of historical context. One TourRadar traveler highlighted their "excellent guides" for delivering authentic cultural insights.
What is the typical food and dining experience like?
Each country presents its own culinary identity. Argentina's asados and premium steaks paired with Malbec wines shine at establishments like Don Julio in Buenos Aires. Uruguay's culinary scene features chivito and mate tea with Mercado del Puerto in Montevideo as a prime dining destination. Brazilian feijoada and churrasco are essential tastes found at restaurants like Porcão in Rio. The Belmond Copacabana Palace provides refined dining options. TourRadar travelers often mention how local guides direct them to genuine regional dining experiences.
What are the transportation options between major cities?
Getting around South America combines various modes of transport. Domestic flights connect major cities with Buenos Aires to Rio taking 3 hours. Long-distance buses feature comfortable reclining seats. Ferry services link Buenos Aires with Colonia del Sacramento and Montevideo in Uruguay taking about 1.5 hours. Premium accommodations like the Belmond Hotel das Cataratas arrange private transfers. A TourRadar review confirmed "Travel and other logistics was as advertised and correctly described."
How safe are these countries for tourists?
These South American destinations require standard travel precautions particularly in urban areas. Established properties like the Hilton Buenos Aires in Puerto Madero and Copacabana Palace provide secure environments. Use authorized taxis or ride-sharing apps especially after dark. Guided tours are recommended when visiting Rio's favelas. Uruguay stands out as one of the region's safest countries. A TourRadar traveler emphasized their guide "was superior" in maintaining safety throughout the journey.
