      Ushuaia

      Chilean Fjords

      Your next three days cover Glacier Alley and the Chilean fjords featuring Pia Glacier and the Darwin Mountain Range. Pack layers since temperatures change quickly. Photographers should plan for early morning glacier shots in the best light.

      Torres del Paine National Park

      Stay in Puerto Natales while exploring Torres del Paine. The full 'W' trek needs 5 days but you can see the highlights on day hikes. Get to the famous granite towers early when skies are usually clearest.

    • Days 10-12

      Canal de las Montañas & Almirantazgo Sound

      These days focus on glaciers and wildlife. Visit Tuckers Islets to see Magellanic penguins most active in the morning. Try kayaking if conditions permit but book early since spaces fill up fast.

    • Days 13-14

      Bahia Brookes & Marta Island

      Watch ice falls at North Brookes Glacier and see sea lions at Marta Island. You'll need a good zoom lens since you can't land on Marta Island but Zodiac boats get you close to the wildlife.

    • Day 15

      Punta Arenas to Santiago

      End your journey in Punta Arenas and fly to Santiago. Remember the airport is about an hour from downtown Santiago if you're planning connections.
