7-Day Bavaria Tour Packages
Want a week in Germany's most traditionally German state? Bavaria brings Munich's beer gardens and Oktoberfest, Neuschwanstein Castle, Nuremberg's history, and Rothenburg's medieval perfection. You're visiting beer halls, hiking in Bavarian Alps, possibly Berchtesgaden and Eagle's Nest. Try the stereotypical German culture, with lederhosen, beer, pretzels, and castles. The food's hearty, beer's excellent, landscapes are genuinely beautiful.

7 Days in Bavaria, incl. Treuchtlingen and Beilngries
Historic towns dot this 7-day route from Treuchtlingen to Beilngries. Daily treks of 14-26km reveal Pappenheim Castle, Solnhofen's fossils, and Buchenhüller Mammoth Cave, with selected hotels providing comfortable stays.

- Day 1
Treuchtlingen
- Day 2
Treuchtlingen to Pappenheim (14 km)
- Day 3
Pappenheim to Mörnsheim (15 km)
The "Twelve Apostles" limestone formations are the star attraction today. Get an early start to catch the best morning light for photos. You'll pass through Solnhofen, known for its ancient fossils dating back 140 million years. Good hiking boots are essential here as limestone can be slippery after rain.

- Day 4
Mörnsheim to Eichstätt (25 km)
This is your longest day, taking you through forests and mountain paths to baroque Eichstätt. Pack plenty of snacks since you won't find many stops between towns. A recent hiker shared: "The climb to Willibalds Castle is steep but worth every step—the panoramic views of Eichstätt's red roofs and the surrounding valley are incredible."

- Day 5
Eichstätt to Kipfenberg (26 km)
- Day 6
Kipfenberg to Beilngries (24 km)
Your final hiking day shows off the Altmühl Valley's best features. Stop for lunch in Kinding at a traditional inn to refuel. The trail down to Beilngries is steep, so consider using hiking poles if you have sensitive knees. Take time to see where the Main-Danube canal meets the Altmühl and Sulz rivers.

- Day 7
Departure from Beilngries
Christmastime in the Heart of Germany 2026
This 6-day luxury river cruise aboard an Avalon Suite Ship follows the Main River through Bavaria's historic towns. Guided tours visit Nuremberg's Kaiserburg Castle, Bamberg's UNESCO Old Town with life-size nativity scenes, and Würzburg's baroque Bishop's Residence, home to the world's largest ceiling fresco. Christmas markets fill each stop.

- Munich Oktoberfest 2026 Camping & Party Packages
I am not sure which was more fun, Oktoberfest or Stoketoberfest. Yeah, you have to rough it in a tent for a couple of nights, but in all honesty, it was one of the craziest weekends of my life! Unlimited beer, easy trip to the festival, great crowd. 10/10 would recommend it to a friend or younger siblings (but definitely not my mum).
- Amsterdam to Oktoberfest Weekender
Unfortunately departure info is misleading. I am also sure it's been edited since I booked it. I was originally led to believe stoke would pick me up and it still states arrival in Munich is 8am. As well as advertising this as an actual tour. Its more of a camping package. I was informed 48 prior to my departure that I would be catching two public busses the first leaving Amsterdam at after midnight Friday on my own. Then I was required to catch a train and another bus to get to the campsite on my own at extra cost. This trip took 15 hours and I did not arrive at the campsite until after 4pm. However, they redeemed themselves by pouring a beer as soon as i arrived. The camp was awesome. Great vibe. 10 euro all you can drink beer each day and afterparties. As well as a guide each day to Oktoberfest. The tents were very small though. Consider booking one on your own if not with a close friend. Staff were amazing and would definitely rebook, however I'd organise my own transport that long trip was nauseating.
- Oktoberfest (Start Munich, 4 Days)
Great way to experience Oktoberfest with amazing company! Very close accommodation to the Oktoberfest, so we got back safely after few steins ??
