What people love about Hawaii Tours for Couples
- Best of the Hawaiian Islands
A fantastic tour! Our guide, Pat, was great. Really went out of her way to get us all the excursions we wanted. Our favorite part was the whale watching. I highly recommend doing this tour in the winter months when the humpbacks are there breeding.
- Hawaiian Explorer (Intra Tour Air Hawaii 2 Flights) (from Honolulu to Kahului)
I was traveling alone and two days before my trip was to begin, I hurt my foot, I had it xrayed and was told it wasn't broken, I still think it was and it still bothers me at times. The tour guide and others in my group took excellent care of me. My foot was really swollen and my toes were purple/black by the end of the tour, but with the help from the tour guide and others in the group, I was able to do all that I went for, just a little slower. I highly recommend Trafalgar to anyone and if I get to take another tour it will be with Trafalgar.
What our customers ask about Romantic Hawaii Trips & Honeymoon Packages
When is the best time of year for couples to visit Hawaii?
Plan your romantic Hawaii trip between April to May or September to November. You'll find great weather with temperatures around 75-85°F (24-29°C) and fewer tourists than peak season. If you're heading to Maui, April and May are perfect - the weather is sunny and mild. Kauai's beautiful Na Pali Coast is best in September when the ocean is calm enough for boat tours. The Big Island's Kona coast is a safe bet year-round, especially for watching those gorgeous Pacific sunsets together. Many Hawaii travelers tell us they love these months because they can enjoy beaches and outdoor activities without fighting summer crowds.
Which beaches in Hawaii are best for couples seeking privacy?
You'll find plenty of peaceful spots away from the busy resort areas. Hamoa Beach on Maui stretches for 1,000 feet of black sand and rarely gets crowded. Over on Kauai, try the quiet corners of Hanalei Bay - its 2-mile (3.2 km) curve has lots of hidden spots perfect for couples. For a real escape, take the short walk to Makalawena Beach on the Big Island - the extra effort keeps the crowds away, and you'll often have the white sand almost to yourself. Waimea Bay on Oahu's North Shore is lovely for evening swims - travelers say it's especially peaceful at sunset. If you're staying at the Sheraton Maui, head to the quieter north end of Ka'anapali Beach for some alone time.
What are the most romantic sunset viewing spots in Hawaii?
Get ready for some incredible sunset views in Hawaii. On Maui, drive up to Haleakala's summit at 10,023 feet (3,055 meters) - the colors are amazing from up there. Another great spot is Puu Kekaa near the Sheraton Maui. Kauai's Hanalei Bay lets you watch the sun sink behind the mountains of the Na Pali Coast. Many couples love the Outrigger Kona Resort - one guest told us about watching the sunset while spinner dolphins played in the waves below. Most viewpoints are free to visit, but if you want something special, sunset boat trips cost around $150-200 USD per person.
Which Hawaiian islands are best suited for a romantic couple's vacation?
Maui and Kauai top the list for romantic getaways. Maui's Ka'anapali Beach area is perfect for couples - you can stay at places like the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa and spend your evenings watching the sunset together. Kauai is even more laid-back and peaceful. Its green valleys and quiet beaches earned it the nickname "Garden Isle." The Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort is great for couples who want ocean views and romantic dinners. If you like mixing beach time with city fun, try Waikiki Beach on Oahu - you can walk to fancy restaurants and shops at the International Marketplace.
What dining experiences should couples not miss in Hawaii?
You'll want to try the farm-to-table dinner at Hali'imaile General Store on Maui - it's in an old plantation building with really fresh local food. The luaus at the Outrigger Kona Resort are fun for couples - you get dinner, sunset views, and traditional Hawaiian entertainment all in one evening. Many couples love the Royal Ocean Terrace at Royal Lahaina Resort. One guest told us the combination of fresh seafood and sunset views made their evening perfect. Plan on spending $100-200 USD for a nice dinner for two. Traditional luaus are usually $150-250 USD per person.
What private experiences can couples book in Hawaii?
Hawaii offers lots of special experiences just for two. You can book a private sunset sail along Maui's coast for $150-200 USD per person. Helicopter rides over the Big Island's volcanoes run $250-350 USD per person. The Royal Lahaina Resort can set up a private dinner right on the beach. Coffee lovers shouldn't miss the tours at Kona Coffee Living History Farm. Many couples tell us they loved taking private snorkeling trips to Molokini Crater - one pair mentioned how nice it was to explore the reef at their own pace. Most resorts also offer couple's massages and can arrange private beach picnics.
