- 4-Day Private Trip to Hampi UNESCO Site From Pune with Flights
I booked a Hampi tour for a total of four people. Overall, the tour was enjoyable, but there could be a few improvements. Tourradar had great communication with us before our tour. Our driver picked us from our hotel in Bangalore at the exact time promised and even had snacks and drinks prepared in the car. My only compliant is the smell in the car was a little strong, but other than that, the driver was timely and very thoughtful. We fell sick coming back and the driver stopped by the medicine store to get us water amd a special kind of drink that provided electrolytes. The Tourradar booked us four separate rooms at the Heritage Resort Hampi WITHOUT asking us if we'd like to have four separate bedrooms. After seeing the rooms, we wished Tourradar asked us our preference first because the bedrooms were huge (each room had a queen/king size bed) which is far too big for just one person. If it would have saved us money, we would have preferred to have booked two bedrooms instead of four. The hotel has a beautiful pool, awesome breakfast buffet, and it is in a very cool location (it's located in a mango planation); however, the lunch/dinner menu was not great (our tandoori chicken wasn't cooked thoroughly, the electricity would turn on and off intermittently throughout the night, and the towels were very stained. I enjoyed how our itinerary was split where we rested on the day we arrived and could choose our time to leave on our last day. Our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable and was very patient with all our questions and requests. We did have to pay for our entrance tickets out of pocket to the ruins. For the price we paid, I would think the ticket prices are included, but they weren't. Overall, I would recommend, BUT I wish Tourradar could have done the following: 1) confirmed our rooming wishes before booking (if there are four people booked for the tour, ask whether any of those people would like to room together) 2) Partner with a better hotel 3) Pay for our entrance tickets
- 4 Days Wildlife Tour of Mysore Bandipur from Bangalore(ALL INCLUSIVE)
No word for describe our journey in india.we went on a 4-day wildlife tour of Mysore Bandipur from Bangalore and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the tour was well-organized and exceeded my expectations. Our tour guide, Mr.Hemender Singh was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the region, making the tour even more enjoyable. He made sure to keep us informed and entertained throughout the journey. The itinerary was well-planned, with a perfect balance of safari rides, nature walks, and cultural experiences. We started our first day with a visit to the Mysore Palace, which was a stunning architectural masterpiece. Then we headed to the Bandipur National Park for our first safari ride. It was an incredible experience to see the animals in their natural habitat, including tigers, elephants, and various species of birds. The second day was spent exploring the beautiful city of Mysore, visiting the Chamundi Hills, St. Philomena's Church, and the famous Devaraja Market. We also got to witness the traditional Mysore silk weaving process, which was a unique and interesting experience. On the third day, we went on a nature walk at the Bandipur National Park, where we got to see different types of flora and fauna, including some rare species. The highlight of the day was the evening safari ride, where we spotted a herd of elephants bathing in a nearby river. The last day of the tour was spent at the historic Srirangapatna Fort, followed by a visit to the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. Our guide Mr. Kumar made sure to point out different species of birds and their unique characteristics, making it an educational and fun experience. The accommodations provided were comfortable and clean, and the food provided was delicious and authentic. I also appreciated the fact that the tour was all-inclusive, so we didn't have to worry about any additional expenses. Overall, I highly recommend this 4-day wildlife tour of Mysore Bandipur from Bangalore. It was a well-planned and well-executed tour, providing a perfect blend of wildlife, culture, and adventure. I came back from this tour with a newfound appreciation for nature and wildlife and some amazing memories. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
What our customers ask about Karnataka Tours for Solo Travelers
What is the typical cost of single supplements on Karnataka tours?
Single supplements for Karnataka tours typically add USD 30-50 per night to the base price based on the hotel category. The 16-day Best of Karnataka and Goa tour charges USD 40 extra per night for 3-star hotels while 5-star properties like ITC Gardenia in Bangalore cost USD 65. Some tour companies like Agora Voyages run special "no single supplement" tours in the off-peak months. A recent TourRadar review noted: "I found the single supplement reasonable compared to other destinations and the room quality was excellent at properties like the Heritage Resort in Hampi."
How easy is it to meet other travelers on Karnataka group tours?
The peak travel season from October to February brings comfortable temperatures of 20-25°C (68-77°F) and draws more visitors to Karnataka. This creates natural opportunities to connect with fellow travelers at popular sites and on group tours. The winter months of December-February work well for visiting coastal areas like Goa. Wildlife enthusiasts often gather at Nagarhole National Park between October-May. A TourRadar guest shared: "Traveling in January was perfect - comfortable weather for sightseeing and lots of other tourists to interact with at major sites like Hampi and Mysore Palace."
How much free time do solo travelers get on Karnataka tours?
Tours in Karnataka mix guided activities with independent exploration time. A typical day includes morning tours followed by 3-4 hours of personal time later in the day. Destinations like Hampi often feature full free days where you can explore ancient ruins or join optional group activities. Hotels are selected for their convenient locations that support easy independent sightseeing. As one traveler noted: "I appreciated having mornings with the group but also enough free time to wander through markets in Mysore and find quiet spots in Hampi to watch the sunset."
How safe is Karnataka for solo travelers on guided tours?
Guided tours in Karnataka provide a secure travel environment with local guides and drivers available around the clock. Well-traveled routes between Bangalore Hampi and the Western Ghats feature established hotels like Radisson Bangalore City Center in safe central areas. A TourRadar guest reported: "I felt completely safe throughout the journey from exploring Mysore Palace to wildlife safaris in Nagarhole thanks to our knowledgeable guide Krishna who was always looking out for the group."
Do Karnataka tours offer shared room options to avoid single supplements?
Many tour operators pair solo travelers of the same gender to share rooms and avoid extra charges. Places like The Heritage Resort in Badami and Krishna Palace in Hampi regularly accommodate shared arrangements. According to one traveler: "I was paired with another solo female traveler at the Lemon Tree Hotel in Bangalore - we became great friends and explored the city markets together."
What types of accommodation can solo travelers expect on Karnataka tours?
Karnataka tours feature quality hotels and resorts that cater to international travelers. In Bangalore stays include the ITC Gardenia or Lemon Tree Premier while Hampi offers the Heritage Resort or Hyatt Place. Traditional properties like the Royal Orchid Brindavan Garden in Mysore blend local character with modern comforts. Tours provide single or shared room choices with hotels picked for their prime locations and security measures. A TourRadar review stated: "The hotels were excellent and perfectly located for sightseeing making it easy to connect with other travelers in common areas."
