  • Days 1-2

    Hanoi, Vietnam:

    Start your journey in Vietnam's capital. A women-led motorbike tour through the Old Quarter is a great way to see major sites like Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Take a street food tour in the late afternoon when food stalls are most active. If you want to visit Bia Hoi corner get there by 5pm to find good seats for watching the street life.

    
  • Days 3-4

    Halong Bay & Pu Luong:

    It's a 2.5-hour drive to Halong Bay for your overnight boat cruise. Pack light for the boat stay. You can kayak through limestone caves and learn to cook Vietnamese dishes onboard. Next head to Pu Luong which takes 6-7 hours by car. The rice terrace hiking is beautiful but bring shoes with good grip since trails get slippery in wet weather.

    
  • Days 6-8

    Hoi An:

    Take a 90-minute flight to Hoi An where you can join cooking classes and bike tours. A recent visitor said: "The morning market visit with our chef was incredible - we learned so much about Vietnamese ingredients I'd never seen before." You can either kayak on the Thu Bon River or visit My Son ruins. Go to the ruins early before it gets too hot.

    
  • Days 9-10

    Ho Chi Minh City:

    Fly south for 90 minutes to explore the city. Take a cyclo tour to see French colonial buildings in District 1. Visit Cu Chi Tunnels in the morning to avoid crowds and heat. The bike ride there shows you interesting local village life.

    
  • Days 11-13

    Siem Reap, Cambodia:

    This is your base for exploring Angkor Wat. You can take sunset bike rides through villages or boat trips to floating communities. For Angkor Wat sunrise photos get there by 5am before the crowds arrive at 6am.

    
  • Days 14-17

    Thailand's Islands:

    Head to Koh Chang for water activities. The ferry takes 30 minutes. Stay on the west coast for the best sunsets. Remember that July through September often has afternoon rain so plan outdoor activities for mornings.

    
  • Days 18-19

    Bangkok:

    Explore the city's canals by boat and try street food in Chinatown. A traveler noted: "The evening river cruise gave us amazing views of lit-up temples - bring your camera!"

    Northern Thailand:

    Take the historic Death Railway in Kanchanaburi then continue to Chiang Rai. The peaceful tea plantations offer a nice break from busy Bangkok. Mountain drives usually take 3-4 hours.
