The tour was excellent, a wide variety of places visited. The bus was very comfortable and almost brand new. the hotels were of a high quality but the only issue was the last hotel which did not have a bar or a place to relax with friends and the restaurant was a hot pot style with only 2 choices on the menu. The guide was superb. I would recommend Tour Radar but it is expected that all the hotels which were quoted as 4 or 5 star have a bar, a place to relax and a good variety of choice in the restaurant.

Eric was a super guide. I enjoyed the information he gave on the bus, including the documentaries he showed. It broke up the long bus rides. When I travelled Edison tours had four buses. It would be better if the buses were staggered more. It’s annoying when you turn up at a restaurant, toilet or photo spot and the buses all arrive at the same time; I spent a lot of the free time queuing which could be avoided if the buses staggered their leaving time more. The hotels were a really high standard, so many choices for breakfast, nice spacious rooms. This trip is good for singles and families. Kia the guide we had for the one day tour of Taipei was also excellent.

Tour packages like the "5-day Taiwan Family Fun Private Tour" let families see major attractions at a pace that works well with children. The itinerary includes stays at practical locations such as Green World Taipei Station and visits to popular spots like Fengjia Night Market and Qingjing Farm. Guest feedback consistently points to this length as "allowing enough time to see major sights while not overwhelming young travelers."
What types of accommodation are available for families in Taiwan?
Taiwan's cities offer a wide selection of 3-5 star hotels that cater to families. The Millennium Hotel Taichung provides family-focused amenities in the city center while The Lalu at Sun Moon Lake offers rooms with water views. For mountain stays the Alishan House features rooms designed for family groups. According to a recent TourRadar review: "The hotels were very good with great locations and rooms provided. In particular, the Taroko Liiko Hotel was our favorite for its family-friendly atmosphere."
What's the best time of year for families to visit Taiwan?
Spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) offer the most pleasant conditions for family travel with mild temperatures and less rain. During these months Sun Moon Lake's outdoor activities are at their best and Alishan's hiking trails are most accessible. Tourism data shows families tend to book most heavily in May and October. The beach areas of Hualien and Kenting see peak conditions from June through August.

Families can bike along Sun Moon Lake spend time at the Taipei Zoo explore the National Palace Museum or sample local foods at Shilin Night Market. The gentle Swallow Grotto Trail in Taroko Gorge works well for all ages while the rice fields of Chihshang offer bicycle adventures. A TourRadar review notes "The entire family loved making traditional dough figurines at Lugang Osmanthus Alley Artist Village and feeding the friendly sheep at Chingjing Farm." Many families choose the Fleur de Chine Hotel at Sun Moon Lake for its views and cultural programs.
