This self-guided cycling trip covers about 500 km from Munich's Hofbräuhaus district to the shores of Lake Garda at Riva del Garda. Cycle past the baroque Cistercian monastery in Stams, through Switzerland at Martina, and along the medieval town walls of Glurns before trying pistachio gelato at Gelateria Bologna in Mori.

Start in Munich's English Garden and cycle along Lake Starnberg's shoreline to Seeshaupt, then ride through the Murnauer Moos nature reserve—Central Europe's largest moorland—before arriving in Garmisch-Partenkirchen to see traditional Lüftlmalerei frescoes. Daily routes cover 40-65 km and there's a bus transfer from Landeck to Nauders.

This self-guided cycling route takes you through three countries, starting at Munich's English Garden and finishing in Merano where the climate turns Mediterranean. The route then climbs over the famous Brenner Pass at 1,370m and descends through South Tyrol beneath the Dolomites toward Brixen and Niederdorf.
