This trip was definitely an experience I wasn't totally prepared for. The accommodation was suitable. Some better than others. El pueblito in Iguazu, Argentina was a highlight. Most day tours I was the only English speaking person. I recommend learning more Spanish to learn and understand more. Most places, as well as taxis and Ubers only accept cash. But ATM's can be hard to find. Do not trust taxi drivers. Especially in Argentina and Chile. I was pleasantly surprised how safe I felt in Rio. Not so much in Chile. Overall, I enjoyed my trip. But will do more homework about each country prior to visiting. I've met some amazing people from all over the world and had some unforgettable times. Just be prepared and ask lots of questions before committing to this tour
Rio de Janeiro to Santiago de Chile - 17 DaysOverall it was good. We were disappointed in our initial hotel location and level, believing we had prepaid for deluxe/superior accommodations. I was told we’d be charged an extra$200/ night to have a nicer hotel. The other hotels were what I expected so I don’t know why the one in Buenos Aries was not similar. The Classic Hotel in Buenos Aries did have the nicest breakfast and very nice staff. The Milanga tour with tango lesson was spectacular and the guide was perfect. The Argentine cooking experience was NOT a cooking experience, just a VERY expensive dinner. Please describe it better in the future. Making a cocktail and folding 1 empanada is NOT a cooking experience. Some guidance on shopping might have been nice. Like the best prices for the tourist items would be found during our excursions from Salta and given time to shop. The disappointing hotel and its location next to bars and clubs the day we arrived gave the tour a sour taste at the start. It took a while to overcome the shock. It made us concerned that the rest of the trip would also be disappointing. Fortunately, it was not and things got better as the trip progressed. We also paid for a private/semi private tour. Our trip to Humamarca was with nearly 20 people. While the bus was comfortable, it was NOT a semi private tour and the hour to pick up and hour to drop off everyone made it a VERY long day. I will recommend that others verify what level of accommodations and tours they are receiving BEFORE buying a trip from Tour Radar, but I will recommend you. All in all it was a good trip.
Deserts, Jungle and FallsWell organized tour. The airports pick up were on time and the tour guides were good. All the tours were good. I had the best of time !
