There were many activities and meals included and also time for free exploring. The hostels were better than expected with good location and comfortable beds. It was nice to meet travellers from different parts of the world to travel with. I saw so much of Japan and it was stress free and good value for money.

From the very beginning, they were professional, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about Japanese culture, history, and local traditions. Every day was well organized, stress-free, and full of memorable experiences.
What really stood out was their attention to detail and genuine care for making sure everyone had a great time. They introduced us to beautiful places, fantastic local food, and hidden spots we never would have found on our own. They were also very patient, accommodating, and always happy to answer questions.
Thanks to them, our trip to Japan became unforgettable. I highly recommend this tour guide to anyone visiting Japan and looking for an authentic, enjoyable, and well-planned experience!

All the activities were very enjoyable, with so much to see and do. Travelling between destinations by local trains, buses, and the Shinkansen was great fun and added to the adventure.

There's a whole lot jam packed into a tight schedule, but I wish we had an extra day in Hakone / Takayama and some extra free time built in for Tokyo, or a group outing to the Tower / Skytree. Overall, George and Beth did a great job of keeping us informed, both in advance, and on the day-of for changes.

My hats off to him. He was very kind and relatable. I would say there were days that packed too many activities in one and did not leave a whole lot of breathing or room for bathroom breaks. The last day in Tokyo was very difficult to keep up and rather than being excited, I felt exhausted and just wanted to go back to the hotel. More free time baked into the schedules would be appreciated. The first night in Kyoto would have been better to have had a free night as opposed to the tour with Saki. It was difficult to hear Saki and most of us were ready to call it a day after a long day of travel. Definitely, the low point was the rooming situation in Hakone. It worked out in the end but it was a headache to deal with when all we wanted to do was rest. In terms of rooming, it felt like there was a couples privilege to have their own room. Please offer packages for solo travelers, some of us prefer our own space and within our age group we shouldn’t be forced to share rooms, especially with people we don’t know. Highlights were really the more rural and nature focused areas. For the size of the group, I felt that at times it was loud and disruptive. I’m not sure how a group this size made it work but it worked! Overall, I think the choice of activities was great for first time visitors to get a good sense of the greatness of Japan and it was very informative to returning visitors. The freedom to break off from the group was great. I wish exploration was encouraged more but the tour did not feel constrictive.

100% George has been our highlight this whole tour!! He has made it comfortable, fun and quirky the whole time! This has been a perfect mixture of adventure, new learnings and crazy shenanigans.

Our tour guide, George, was excellent too. He was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive, and with his humour and easy-going manner he felt just as much as part of the group as the tour participants.
And while the tour organiser can't control what kind of people participate in the tour, I still wanted to highlight how wonderful and funny my group was. I enjoyed their company massively and am grateful to have had such fantastic people around me to explore Japan.

He always had great recommendations, and was really attentive to everyone in the group. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had a good time and got the most out of the trip. We really appreciated his local tips, good humor, and patience throughout. If you're thinking about doing a tour in Japan, I’d definitely recommend going with someone like George!

Being able to travel to multiple amazing cities and see all the key sights, as well as having plenty of free time meant that I finished my tour feeling very satisfied. Our tour guide George always felt very friendly and approachable and had good knowledge of the area and social norms which proved to be very important. He always seemed to want to give us the best tour possible and I think he certainly achieved that. I had a lovely time on my tour but I think the only area I can see for improvement would be providing a more detailed itinerary with specific times for the events of the day. Personally, I was fine with how the days turned out but I know for some of the others, having more definite timings for certain activities would allow them to better plan for booking additional activities during their free time. Overall, I think this tour was an amazing experience and I was impressed and pleased by the job George did as our tour guide.

You kind of have to plan your own activities because it feels like you’re sort of just dropped off without being guided. The hostels / accommodation weren’t great but not bad for what we paid. Breakfasts provided were bland, literally just toast at one place. Overall not bad but you gotta make the most of it on your own

In terms of improvements I would suggest adding more time at each destination. It sometimes felt like it was rushed. I overall had a great time. The included group trips were mostly in morning to avoid the big crowds during peak season. We were supposed to visit Mount Fuji, but it turned out that the mountain could only be seen from the train. It would have been better if this had been clearly stated in the information booklet.
Additionally, on previous trips I’ve joined, we could choose the gender of our accommodation, but this wasn’t an option for this trip. So I thought people will be split in different accommodation room according gender. But we ended up in gender-mixed accommodations for two nights in Kyoto，which I am not quite happy about. On a positive note, I appreciated having free time to explore. It would have been helpful, though, if more detailed advice had been given on places to visit nearby or if certain activities required pre-booking. Some people on the trip didn’t want to put in the effort to research things to do or weren’t bothered to look for information themselves. But overall I enjoyed the trip very much myself.

I also didn't know that this company does not use local guides and for a country like Japan, I would prefer to have someone guide me who has had actual lived experiences rather than just studied it for a few months.

An absolutely jam-packed tour that covers so many amazing places and includes so many great activities. The tour is planned out so well with a detailed itinerary provided in advance and clear daily in…An absolutely jam-packed tour that covers so many amazing places and includes so many great activities. The tour is planned out so well with a detailed itinerary provided in advance and clear daily instructions received from the guides via the WhatsApp group. The days are planned to ensure popular sites are seen at the least busy times and breaks for rests, snack stops and toilet breaks are also always planned in to even the busiest days. The guides all have extensive knowledge on the history and culture of all areas visited and the speeches were all very informative and well delivered. They were also able to communicate well in Japanese where required and keep the guests informed of local customs and courtesies, ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the trip.
All in all the tour was perfectly planned to ensure all guests had an amazing time.
Big shout out to Kassy, Billy and George, the ultimate trio of guides. They made the trip so enjoyable and thought of everything, making sure everyone in the group was happy and looked after at all times. Special mention to Kassy for expert hair braiding services, girly pamper sessions and lead vocals on karaoke. Billy and George for providing Japanese culture and history knowledge alongside non-stop entertainment. The positive energy of all three guides and their ability to keep the group smiling, laughing and in high spirits throughout the whole trip was massively appreciated!
