About me:Bonjour, ciao, ahoj, hello! My name is Rianna and I am teacher turned trip manager! I lead organised tours for Contiki all around Europe! 🗺️ I’ve led numerous trips for over 250 people in over 20 countries in my short year of being a trip manager. Recently, I retrained to specialise in Scandinavia and the Baltics, so this year not only will I be journeying through mainland Europe, but some of the most beautiful countries (in my biased opinion) that Europe has to offer! 🇳🇴🇱🇻🇩🇰 I am passionate about this job not just for the travel, but for the people I meet along the way. Watching them experience new things, connect with one another, learn and grow. I love bringing out the “teacher” in me not only to teach my travellers about the history, culture and fun facts about each place we visit, but pushing them out of their comfort zones through fun challenges, games and social activities! 🎳

She even organized a catch up in Melbourne for all her past travellers from her time with Contiki as she keeps in contact with many of us who want to stay in touch! I am glad I went with minimal to low expectations because I my expectations were exceeded! The places we saw, many big ticket items, but lots of classic bucket list places. Super surreal and we had a blast both on and off the coach thanks to the legendary Ri and one and only "Coach queen" Catia! Absolute dream duo and they made the trip what it was. Bubbly, bright, enthusiastic and bounced off one another's energy, so glad I got such pocket rockets to drive and lead me around Europe!

From all the people I know who have travelled the trip managers were make or break for how their experience went. I can say whole heartedly say that Ri went above and beyond all expectations, from planning out all our days, making travel suggestions on our free days and making real genuine connections with all her travellers. I watched first hand how much love and dedication Ri puts into this as she worked tirelessly from the break of dawn into the the night to ensure we all had the best time we possibly could. I know how difficult it is to help plan and organise a trip for a family let alone 38 travellers with different requests, dietary requirements and constantly changing their minds but everyday Ri got up with a huge smile on her face ready to face it all head on. While everyone had their one ideas about contiki whether that be spending the night out, calling it an early night or finding some late night snacks, Ri was always there with her wealth of knowledge to assist. Before this trip my life was consumed by work and left no time for social interaction, going on this trip with Ri has brought fun back into my life and she has given me a taste of some of the most amazing parts of the world and a need to see even more of it. Ri your happy nature and being is contagious and you have truly made this the trip of lifetime, keep smiling and their is no one who deserves this more that you. See you in Scandi next year ?

One of the highlights of the tour was how Ri organised spontaneous adventures, like a sunset picnic at a breathtaking viewpoint. Those little touches made the trip even more special and memorable.

Bonded well with some of the other travellers especially my roommate!
Ri also gave us advice about what to fill our days with, and made this google map things with all these different points of interest and things we could do in each of the city which really helped me fill out my free time.

We got to see so many amazing areas of Europe and it was great venture further over to the eastern side of which I had never visited. Rianna's professionalism and knowledge is next level! She constantly had the entire group captivated by her insightful city talks or struggling to contain ourselves after one of her brilliant jokes. Never have I met someone so dedicated to the travel tourism industry and her efforts did not go unnoticed. We had some moments where it was not all smooth sailing (road blocks, major detours and a some of us losing our personal belongings) but she kept us calm and the trip ran extremely well! Honestly I couldn't have asked for anything more of our tour and Rianna certainly made sure that my dream European holiday came true! And when I do inevitably decide to book another Contiki tour, I pray that I can have Rianna again! ?

Once commencing the trip, Ri demonstrated amazing communication and some wonderful jokes/puns throughout her trip to continuously keep us all engaged. It was a wonderful mixture of learning about the history, scenery and things to look forward to in each country we were about to visit.
I would also just love to highlight Rianna’s professionalism and enthusiasm. Her energy each day has been incredible which has resulted in encouraging everyone to get out of their comfort zone and participating. Her passion and friendliness is not something I often come across and I could appreciate the immense amount of effort she puts into her role each individual day. I believe she should be used as the standard to all trip managers
Overall, Ri as a trip manager was phenomenal but more importantly, she is just an amazing person.

On the trip I constantly looked up to Riri and her hard work. She was constantly on the move with lots of side quests going on behind the scenes, that I constantly found myself asking how she could do it all - whilst planning a trip for 50 hungover young adults. It was common for Riri to hang out with the group of girls I was close with, and we always had a blast. Riri made amazing connections where everybody’s valued her hard work and looked up to her for advice and as a guide, but she has such an amazing soul that you couldn’t NOT be friends with her. On the trip, I experienced some horrible food poisoning and couldn’t eat for almost 50 hours - Riri offered the best support I could’ve asked for. Helping me get medication, feel comfortable, and making sure I rested up and got food when I needed it. It’s tough being away from home while so sick at such a young age, especially without the support from your parents, and Riri made me feel very comfortable and cared for. Riri’s knowledge and experience made the trip what it was for me, and I would go on another contiki with her in a heartbeat. She always gives everyone her all and deserves the world

Ri is the most amazing wonderful not only tour guide/ manager but human! She made my trip and the 50 others that I shared my travels with the most magical experience through Europe.
I'm type one diabetic and this was not my first solo travel but my first international solo travel. My expectation was that I'd be on my own emotionally and mentally to navigate all things travel... boy was I wrong. Ri created a safe and supported environment that allowed me to enjoy every moment without concern, now that I'm writing this out... I'm not sure I've ever experiences that. I knew if anything went wrong she would have my back... but because of her impeccable organization absolutely NOTHING went wrong. 23 days and not a glitch in the trip.
I got the privilege of sitting at the front of the coach... so I got to see first hand the hours that she poured into her work. She does everything with 100% effort, efficiency, and CREATIVITY! Seriously one of the most creative humans I've ever met... her brain works a mile a minute, constantly producing new and inventive ideas to better the world and her travellers experience.
She created the cutest day-sheets that kept everyone on track, a Macarena dance video of all the stops along the way, an online photo album of group photos, and customized t-shirts and sweaters on a module trip (adding extra layers of complexity).
Ri captured all the moments, offered to take our photos to ensure everyone had keep-sakes for their return home, she dropped the most memorable puns (always making us laugh, me probably the loudest), and kept us engaged at all times.
She was a travel manger, a friend, a sister, and a mom, all while remaining professional. Whatever you needed she delivered. A listening ear, a hug, a laugh, you name it.
Many of us worked tirelessly to participate in the trip we embarked on, I feel so blessed to have had Ri as my trip manager... I really truly cannot say enough good things about her.
Without doubt she should be the winner of this competition. Even her plans for the winnings are rooted in empathy, kindness, and giving back.

Going into this trip i wasn't sure what to expect, how fast paced everything would be, how the trip was going to work with so many travelers of all different ages. I thought it would be extremely rush…Going into this trip i wasn't sure what to expect, how fast paced everything would be, how the trip was going to work with so many travelers of all different ages. I thought it would be extremely rushed, we would always be running late, however that was pretty much the opposite. My trip manager, Rianna, made sure that everyone was on time, that it was an expectation that everyone did meet. Ri was an amazing trip manager, she was fun, kind and super well organised. She made sure we all had everything we needed and that if something went wrong she was there to fix it and do the best she could with the situation.
The itinerary was fast paced and filled with a lot of things but at the same time it seemed like we had a lot of free time, in most places we visited we had a full day to explore on our own and Rianna would send a list of things that we could go and do.
Another thing is that Rianna knew so much about every place we went to, she would say "you can't truly experience a place if you don't know the history of it" which i think is such a great way to view new places.
I am super tired by the end of my 23 day trip, but looking back on the memories i created with new people who i will be friends with for life, i wouldn't change a thing.

Ri was consistently positive, provided historical information and advice on where to checkout for each place we visited and was extremely quick to provide solutions for any situation that did not go to plan (such as games day with the group for bad weather events, or fun facts for long bus rides to keep us entertained) I was extremely impressed with how much knowledge Ri provided for each place as we were visiting 12 countries! (Even providing knowledge when passing by other landmarks we were not stopping for!)
Ri has gone above and beyond to ensure everyone on the Trip was having an amazing experience. Ri was polite and approachable, which made it extremely easy to talk to Ri on a friend-like level which made the experience so much more comfortable. I can confidently say that if anyone on the coach had any issues Ri was quick to handle and ensure everything and everyone was safe and having a good time.
I would like to say a big thank you to Ri for the absolutely amazing experience and hope to have Ri again in the future as a Tour Manager for Contiki. I know i will not get anyone better for the job than Ri :)

Th…I’ve just recently completed a Contiki tour through Europe - the European Trail - with Rianna Le as our Trip Manager and it really is difficult to put into words how unbelievable my experience was. This was my first time travelling through Europe and I truly believe that the trip with Rianna will not be topped if I were to tour through Europe again. Day in and day out, she flexed her impressive working knowledge of the local history and culture in every place we travelled through and ensured we all knew what to do, where to go, and what to look out for. While her ability to handle issues and setbacks as they arose throughout our trip was astounding, the thing about Rianna that stood out most to me was her ability to both understand what her travellers were feeling and experiencing but more importantly, how to help them if they required it. Her emotional intelligence and unwavering positivity were the difference between a great day and a terrible day at points where morale was low due to terrible weather or bad hangovers or goodbyes to the short-term travelers. Rianna really cares, and while this is the first time I’ve travelled with a Contiki group which leaves me without a true frame of reference, I know I’d be hard pressed to find a Trip Manager that works harder, cares more, and embraces the moment more fully than her. I’d also be doing her a disservice if I didn’t mention her fantastic puns - the chorus of half-grown/half-laughs that she would conduct in the coach were a staple of our day-to-day.
Long story short, I don’t think I’ll be doing another tour through Europe unless Rianna Le is involved. She was truly exceptional.

She offered clear instructions on obtaining a temporary passport, but fortunately, I found my passport before needing to act on it. Her knowledge and empathy were evident as she made sure every participant felt included in all activities and was having a great time.

She has a very positive, optimistic and upbeat personality, and always made the travellers happy even on the days it was raining or we had lots of traffic. No one could feel sad whenever Rianna was around. The travellers all loved her, for she was able to relate to everyone no matter their personalities. She always catered for individuals and smaller groups, both in the way she approached them and the activities she recommended.
If all trip managers were like Rianna, more people would be coming to experience Contiki, and returning to do another trip. All of the travellers have said they only want to come back if she is the trip manager.
If it was possible, I too would only have Rianna as a trip manager for the rest of my time with Contiki. She truly is one a kind!

Her knowledge is also top tier! She had a lot of fun facts and history to share for every city we went to. I learned so much from our walking tours and coach rides into the city.

When I had arrived for the trip I hadn’t known anyone and was very quite as i’m not one to jump into deep conversations with strangers, but Rianna’s introduction to the Contiki trip had been very welcoming indeed and helped me introduce myself to people that i would become best friends with for my whole trip.
And how could I not mention our very skilled coach driver Angel, with his awesome speeches and getting us to our locations through the narrow alleyways and busy roads on time was really amazing!
Rianna and Angel are truely the best travel duo and I couldn’t have asked for a better travel manager and coach driver, and everyone else on my Contiki journey with Rianna and Angel will agree.

Ri is one of the most bubbly, fun, and upbeat people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She seems to just radiate happiness I really wish she could teach me how. She's somehow also really funny, caring, and empathetic. It would be easier to just google a list of the best traits a person could have and Ri would have all of them. It is abundantly clear that she loves her job and just wants to make people happy, she does both flawlessly.
I could not recommend her any higher, I only knew her a week and I miss her and the friends she helped me make.

She made me feel comfortable at the same time made me go outside of my comfort zone. She always had an answer to every question asked. She helped me when I had issues with my luggage, health issues and my accident of falling on the trip. After my accident in the trip, she made sure I had help with my luggage, walked less from the bus, had a good nights rest and was feel well. She is truly amazing! I believe everything on the tour went so smoothly because of her including having the best driver, a great group that didn’t exclude anyone and was like family and an amazing tour. It is rare to have all 3 things go so well. Barney was more like a second tour guide than a driver he was so smart, patient, helpful with luggage and got us through all those winding roads of Norway with ease. After I fell he even picked me up places so I could walk less on my sprained ankle, he is truly the best driver I ever had! He is so friendly and never got upset if I took a little longer to bring my suitcase it the morning. Rianna and Barney were the perfect match for an amazing contiki tour!

There’s a reason why I always come back to Contiki and why I’ve always done the most tours with them. It’s not just their destinations, or the travel culture they’ve created. It’s not even that sense of togetherness that makes the groups feel like we’re all in this together. It’s because of their guides! One after another just seems to raise the bar, and Rianna has raised it to entirely new levels! I genuinely don’t see how anyone could beat her, she is unmatched!! Now I know that’s pretty high praise but anyone that’s spent any amount of time with her will know it’s actually pretty spot in! I don’t even think it’s her working, it’s just who she is. For one. She’s very friendly and engaging. I’m very much a people person and I know not everyone is, and thats okay. However, she is very much a people person and it’s always nice when you meet your own kind. And Rihanna of our kind. She’s friendly, always happy to talk to you about absolutely anything, and even better, she has the kind of personality that makes it seem like just asking her a question or engaging with her helps make her day. Why wouldn’t you want to travel with someone that inviting? Secondly, she’s always up to do whatever with the group. I still remember the night when we were in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do, and nowhere to go. And she pulled out a bunch of games for us to play. And even better than that, we did some karaoke and she did a duet with me!!! How awesome is that?… I’d still think we could have won a Grammy if we wanted lolol. It doesn’t even stop there, she brings the laughs too! I’m pretty sure she knows every dad joke known to mankind! But above all else is her ability to connect, create a one on one relationship with you and make you just want to be a friend! It’s hard to put all she did into words, from the little things, to her positive enthusiasm each day, it definitely didn’t go unnoticed. Her music choices, ever growing support and group games that brought the best out of everyone through team bonding and friendly competition. She was able to create an incredibly positive and inclusive environment for all the diverse travellers we had in our group. I believe this is a product from the amount of work she does in the background, she’s always finding new ways to add to the groups overall experience. I’ve never seen a trip manager go over and beyond to provide everyone with an incredible view of travelling. I would be very surprised if there are many if any other trip managers in the world that put in the amount of effort and care that Rianna does. She has completely transformed my way of thinking toward travelling as well as doing group tours. Contiki are very lucky to claim someone of her professionalism and I’m excited that future travellers will be able to experience the same care on their trips that Rianna provides, she’s a once in a life time trip manager and couldn’t thank her enough for all she did!

Her organisation is second to none & is always supported with a travel pun or two. There were people who were sick on our trip, she checked in on them and offered supportive words when needed. She also has an impressive range of knowledge for each location in Europe (which is where my tour was based), and helped teach us simple phrases in each location so we could order / interact with the locals using their languages. If you get the opportunity to be on a tour with her you’re in for the trip of a life time.

Right from meeting her, it was clear that she is very knowledgeable but also was willing to answer any type of questions to do with history or general questions.

Every time I had a question about something, on the rare occasion that she didn’t know the answer, she would always go out of her way to do some research and tell me later on. She was so knowledgable of all the places we visited and I learnt so much from her! We had a problem on our trip while walking to our dinner, where someone had collapsed in the street, Rianna (leading the group) quickly saw this, turned the group around and found an alternative route so people didn’t have to witness it. Her quick thinking showed how caring and respectful she is and it was like she knew the city like the back of her hand from how good her alternate route was.
Not only is Rianna such a lovely, caring, enthusiastic person, she was also incredibly fun. She was always having a laugh with us, cheering us up with her jokes on long travel days when everyone was tired and miserable, coming up with fun games for us to play so we could all bond as a group and most importantly finding cool and exciting new places we could explore in our free time. Rianna’s free time activities that she went out of her way to research and recommend to us are some of my favourite memories from my tour with her.
I can’t think of a single person I’d rather have spent my tour with other than Rianna, she truly is a diamond.

This was the most amazing week of my life! A year on and I’m still thinking about it and catching up with the friends I made. I had no idea anyone could experience so much in such a short time but wow…This was the most amazing week of my life! A year on and I’m still thinking about it and catching up with the friends I made. I had no idea anyone could experience so much in such a short time but wow, it felt like a months long holiday in the best way possible. Our tour manager Rianna (AKA RiRi) was phenomenal!!! The amount of work she put in to making our trip so fantastic was insane, she went above and beyond, never stopping, but still making sure we were all having the times of our lives! On top of all the planning and organising RiRi worked so hard to bring us all together and really make us a Contiki family and kept the spirits high, even when we were all severely hungover or unexpected delays like a helicopter landing on the motorway right in front of our coach delays us for hours!!! Not only did RiRi handle all that but made sure we were still having fun with bus karaoke and our feel good tune everyday! The itenerary was so perfect! We got to see so much and get such great experiences that brought us all together, I made friends for life in some of the coolest and most beautiful places in the world! The boat tour around Capri was a major highlight!!! With a bonus party at the hostel that night, which was such a great surprise! The places we visited were amazing but the people took it to the next level, and RiRi seriously out did herself! I CANNOT believe that was her first trip!!!! The professionalism she had and how well everything was handled had me believing RiRi had done it for years! Oh, and shoutout to Tomasz, the best coach driver going! If you’re thinking about doing a contiki, DO IT! You won’t regret it! You meet the best people and make core memories for life!

She made the whole trip as smooth as it could get, made it easy for us to find our way or to navigate the day, aka amazing and simplified day sheets with all the info we needed to know in each country.
Ri also gave us language lessons to help us get by in each country as respectfully and kind as possible! Rianna made a great effort into helping us all feel included, she helped when we all needed help in unexpected situations, or guidance/a positive push in extra activities that we didn’t know we needed.
The tour was the best way for a newbie to Europe to travel and experience most places! My Contiki was called European Traveller, and I’ll always remember this as Ri organised for us to purchase custom hoodies with our Contiki group 😍

She organised games for the bus when we were all over it on long days, she had our daily song which was the first song played on the bus everyday - I still listen to it and it brings back so many memories. That soon changed thanks to Rianna my tour manager, I ended up doing most of them and had a great time!
(My personal favourites were the Canyon swing and the Bosnian dinner)
I think our trip was pretty smooth sailing thanks to Rianna who had everything sorted, she was able to answer any questions on the history of the place we were in/what activities she would recommend.
Safe to say I had a great time with Rianna as my tour manager!

As someone who went on contiki as an 18 year old fresh out of high school, it was so cool to be welcomed into such a fun new travel environment. I met so many new people (who I’m still friends with now!) and had so many amazing new experiences. Rianna was such an awesome guide too, she had heaps of knowledge about every place we went and led the trip in a super fun and friendly way that straight away made all of us comfortable and ready to have fun. The organisation and itinerary and everything was really straight forward as well, and even with a slight mix up with the hotels it still all went smoothly. I had a blast!

She’s extremely prepared for literally everything and went above and beyond for our group with suggestions for places to go, games to kill bus time and helping my friends and I find a new hotel in 2 days when we found out we accidentally booked the wrong dates (oops). Overall, I loved my tour and would recommend to anyone in their early 20s travelling europe for the first time.

Literally have zero complaints, the team that were assigned to our trip made it such an effortless and fun experience. As it was my friend and I’s first time travelling together and to places we’d never seen or experienced before, we felt safe and taken care of the whole time.
The experiences that were provided for us to be able to book for gave us incredible memories that we will never forget and friendships that we know will last forever!
