From the very first moment, he impressed us w…Our Sri Lanka adventure with BH Lanka Tours was nothing short of unforgettable, and that was largely thanks to our incredible driver and guide, Nishantha. From the very first moment, he impressed us with his professionalism, warmth, and kindness. He was not only highly knowledgeable but also endlessly flexible, always eager to tailor the journey to what we wanted—whether it was pulling over to sample fresh local fruits, arranging the most authentic Ayurvedic massages, or simply sharing stories about Sri Lanka’s history and culture. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his thoughtfulness made every day flow seamlessly. By the end, we didn’t just have a guide—we had a true friend. Saying goodbye was genuinely emotional.
The tour itself was a dream. We were able to experience Sri Lanka’s breathtaking beauty in all its forms: cultural treasures, historic landmarks, stunning landscapes, and the thrill of spotting wildlife on safari. Every day felt like a new adventure.
The hotels we stayed in were comfortable and of a high standard, and the food was simply out of this world. My partner, who is vegan, was especially delighted by the abundance of delicious plant-based options. Honestly, it was the best food we’ve ever had—not just on holiday, but anywhere!
We are deeply grateful to Nishantha and to BH Lanka Tours for giving us such a meaningful and memorable journey. It was more than just a holiday—it was an experience we’ll treasure forever. We can’t wait to return and explore more of your beautiful country.

The tour program was varied and the children and we were able to enjoy the trip.
Our tour guide and driver NISHANTA was always friendly and patient. He showed great flexibility, whenever we wanted a slight adjustment of the program. Moreover, he had a great knowledge of history of the country and shared many interesting facts with us.
Overall, we felt welcomed and save the whole trip long.
However, we have some remarks.
To the best of our knowledge, we booked a German speaking guide but the tour was in English.
Most of the activities had to be paid extra (very high fees compared to the fees given for Sri Lanka people).
The included activities sometimes seemed very "cheap", e. g. The gem "museum" was not a museum but a shop, where only a short film was shown, the tea factory offered no tea degustation but after a five minutes' walk through the factory and afterwards we got a cup of the lowest quality tea.
When considering the high amount of entrance fees and expenses for lunches which were sometimes not even necessary (and could have been included), the price of the journey was at least 50% higher than expected (activity fees were only shared AFTER booking) For the sake of transparency, please provide the information earlier and in more detail.

Love the itinerary all accommodation, but one in Kandy, which did have nice views but a bit crowded and to far away from the city area.
Thanks again BH Lanka.
One more thing you need to know if booking in a group make sure you all book the same package there is a ccheaper hotel package which was awesome, also a more expensive one!
If you book all the same you will be with your group if not you will be going to different hotel's and area's.

I had booked as…This tour lives up to its name. It’s outstanding. It’s absolutely jam-packed full of fun and interesting things to see and do. I can’t believe we have covered so much ground in a week. I had booked as part of a group tour but as it turned out I was the only one who had booked those dates as a consequence of which I got a full private tour at no extra cost. My diver and guide Nishanta is a delightful chap with a real passion for his job. He went above and beyond and could not do enough to help me.
I paid extra for the deluxe hotels and have been really pleased with their high standards the Eden Resort in Beruwela and the Amaya hillside just outside Kandy merit special mention.
Every day was a fresh adventure and all the activities were great. Particular standouts for me would have to include getting to wash an elephant then having her wash me at the elephant sanctuary, seeing the amazing Sigiriya , the excellent game safari at Yala and seeing a blue whale close up.
If you’re thinking about doing the tour don’t hesitate. It’s great. I only had a weeks leave and I absolutely made the most of it. The only thing I’d say is that if I had had more time available then I would have done a 2 week tour.

My first contact with BHTours was with Hadith. Despite booking only ten days before departure, he was able to arrange and rearrange the itinerary and even called through WhatsApp to discuss in detail.
The tour itself was fantastic! There was a good mix of culture, mountains, beaches, good food, and lots of learning about the country and its people. I am generally and independent traveler and take an occasional tour, but having Nishantha to drive and escort me through Sri Lanka was perfect when I had no time to plan. I highly recommend BH Tours and would sign up with them again!

Each day of the tour was full of beautiful sites (from tea fields to stunning jungle views from the train to wildlife at Yala to coast views). Nishantha, our guide, made the whole trip memorable, extremely enjoyable, and adaptable pending on what we were interested in that day. His passion for his job is very evident and he made sure we were happy throughout the trip while also getting us to each destination smoothly. Overall, such a vibrant place with incredible sights and welcoming people- book your trip now!

The tour itself was well planned out even though not all admission fees were included. We stayed for 12 days and took a round trip. The car rides were longer than expected, also there was no mentions of the driving distances before booking the tour. That was something that surprised us. Our guide,
Nishantha Rathnayaka, was very kind and made us feel very safe and comfortable. He has an incredible knowledge about the history of the country and is always willing to share his insights.
He was a very careful driver and took us wherever we wanted to go.
We didn’t know that it would just be us two when we booked the tour as it was promoted as a group tour. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand that we would be traveling with the guide and no other visitors.
We loved the atmosphere and the overall energy of the country and are very thankful to have experienced such a rich culture.

There was no problem with the pick up from the airport even though our flight was delayed. The tour plan was well structured going lighter towards the second week with less activities and more time to relax. Over the two weeks of our stay we saw lots of different regions in Sri Lanka giving us so many different things to see each day. Thanks to Nishantha Kumara we got a lot of historical background of Sri Lanka, he has lots of knowledge and was keen to share it with us. He made us feel save and welcomed throughout the whole tour and was always there to help plan the tour after our needs.
Keep in mind that you will travel a lot by car each day but with the beautiful scenery passing by thru the car window it is nonetheless totally enjoyable. The hotels were absolutely amazing and not a single one had disappointed us. Our highlight of the tour was the wild water rafting. It was such a unique and exciting experience enveloped in such beautiful landscape!
The one thing that could be improved is to give us the information at what time the tour ends to assure a good connection towards the flight back home and to avoid waiting time or booking a hotel for another night. As well as informing us about how many people are coming along the tour to know how flexible the guide or the time schedule would be to bring us to the airport at the end of the tour.

Our guide, Nishantha, is a true professional in his field. His passion for his country is evident in every moment. He loves showing Sri Lanka and sharing his extensive knowledge of the country's history, culture, flora, and fauna. What sets Nishanta apart is his personal approach. His motto, "If you are happy, we are happy," is not just a phrase but the foundation of his work. He accommodates every request, adjusting the tour both in advance and on the spot to fit our preferences, always striving to make the most of each activity.
Nishantha discussed all planned activities with us in detail beforehand, explaining the background and providing valuable tips to help us get the most out of every experience. His explanations were always informative, engaging, and reflected his deep connection to Sri Lanka. This made us feel not just like tourists but like valued guests.
Another highlight was our driver, Lalith. Thanks to his calm and safe driving, we always felt in good hands, even on Sri Lanka's often hectic roads. Lalith was always punctual, and his perfectly prepared vehicle (clean, air conditoned) contributed to our relaxation as well.
Overall, our trip with BH Lanka Tours and the team led by Nishantha and Lalith was an experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka in a personal, in-depth, and relaxed way.

We wanted to experience as much of this country as possible and that we definitely did! As two girls in our 20s we wanted to feel safe in the process and our tour guide NISHANTHA provided the smoothest, safest and more interesting trip we will never forget. We have to thank him personally for going above and beyond to meet our requests and needs on this trip, he tailored the experience to our interests, had a wealth of knowledge of the history and culture of Sri Lanka - which was so valuable to us. And had the most amazing friendly, positive attitude, it was truly infectious. The food, people, scenery and wildlife was just fantastic. We CANNOT wait!! To come back, and will be telling all our friends and family to take this tour and visit Sri Lanka. We saw no impact from the unrest the country experienced earlier this year, it is a very safe country full of very smiley and kind people.

The transportation (nice A/C van) was excellent. The guide was knowledgeable and flexible, and very accommodating to our needs and requests. The hotel choices were great. My only complaint(?) was that 8 days is just not enough time to see/do all the amazing sights and activities in Sri Lanka. I will definitely be returning to Sri Lanka, and won't hesitate to tour with BH Lanka again.
