The guides and tour was extremely good, very flexible (appreciate this!) were very pleased with the services provided particularly taking into account the last minute changes to my itinerary.
Our tour guides Stu and Yosia (Josh) were simply fantastic, and extremely helpful. They were knowledgeable and passionate about the history, and answered all our questions with patience and added interesting anecdotes that brought the tour to life.
The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to all of us.
All respect for Stu & Yosia who does a great job there; a true sample of excellent tour guides!
Difficult to say what the best bits were as the whole experience was exceptional. It felt like we really did get to understand Indonesia and the people and it now has a permanent place on my heart.
Many thanks again and I highly recommend One Life Adventure to everyone!

The connection One Life has with the communities in the Philippines is amazing and seeing the relationships that the locals had with …I had an amazing time on the One Life Adventures Philippines tour! The connection One Life has with the communities in the Philippines is amazing and seeing the relationships that the locals had with our group was such a cool way to learn more about the Philippines and the people that live there. My favourite parts of the tour was the school visit in Port Barton, and also the island camping in Coron. Overall an amazing trip, so many meals included, transportation comfortable and also, the others travellers on our tour were all really awesome people! There was 19 of us in total plus the One Life Guide Stu and we all got along really well! Overall 10/10 experience. I've already booked another tour with One Life in Japan for June 2023 :)

One Life’s close relationship with the local community made this such a special experience. You could definitely sense the love and respect for one another. Our tour guide Stu was awesome! His positive energy is so contagious. He’s so lighthearted and genuinely loves what he does. He alway made it a point to keep the group informed and engaged. By far my favorite was the island hopping, beach camping and the delicious meals cooked by the local guides. Much appreciation and thanks goes out to Stu and the local guides! Our group had a mix of solo travelers and those traveling with a friend/partner and everyone got along very well. It’s easy when you’re surrounded by like-minded people who all have a desire to travel. For those travelers who are hesitant of traveling solo, I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and book the trip! Don’t let that hold you back. You will gain and grow so much and once you complete one tour you’ll be soon signing up for the next trip. As the name implies, “one life” so make the most of it!

I was blown away by Sri Lanka, it just has so much to offer. It's such a beautiful country with stunning scenery, and the people are so friendly and welcoming, more than any country I have visited before. The tour manages to pack so much in 12 days, so many great activities and great places to eat and drink. I can't say enough good things about Stu our tour guide, he has been brilliant, completely made the tour. I loved having a local tour guide Rihas and a western tour guide, I haven't had that before and the dynamic between them was amazing. Truly two great guys that would do anything for us to make the trip the best it could be. If you get chance to do this tour 100% go, it's a once in a live time trip.

I LOVED it. This tour was amazing. I was originally hesitant to book this as I didn't want to be among the many tour busses in crowded areas, but as a solo female traveler, I decided I'd feel more com…I LOVED it. This tour was amazing. I was originally hesitant to book this as I didn't want to be among the many tour busses in crowded areas, but as a solo female traveler, I decided I'd feel more comfortable in Indonesia as a group. I am SO glad I decided to risk it because I'll remember the past two weeks for the rest of my life. The accommodations were insanely nice (and I'm spoiled so that's saying a lot). I opted for my own room because I'm a light sleeper, but many others loved sharing a room because it felt like a sleepover and they enjoyed the company.
Every day was packed with things to do, but structured in a way that made it easy and comfortable to opt out if you were looking for some alone time to rest, or just wanted to spend your time doing something else. The tour guides, Abbey and Stu, were extremely accommodating to this and really made me feel welcome the entire time. They were patient, listened to everyone with an understanding ear, and kept our moods energetic and positive. It was interesting to have Abbey and Stu become my friends, but who I also completely trusted to take care of me and guide me through the 2 weeks. What truly, lovely people.
The trip was authentic, yet comfortable. This is the biggest takeaway for me. Onelife has employees who are native to the area, and who take the time to explain different rituals, religious beliefs, and customs of the country. This is what sets this tour apart. Onelife is extremely cautious and considerate and makes sure everything we do, from transport to activities, is done sustainably and considerately to the people of Indonesia.
I've become this company's biggest supporter and will market this tour to everyone I meet. There truly isn't a thing I would change. They incorporated it all - Instagram views (only a few), physical activities, rest, cultural activities, and authentic meals. The transport was ready for us consistently and pre-planned so that you didn't have to think at all or worry for a second about what's next on the agenda. All you have to do is show up :)
I will say that this tour is definitely designed for people who enjoy outdoor time (obviously). You don't need to be in fantastic shape to engage in all of these activites, but you do have to LIKE being active.
After my tour, I decided to stay another week by myself in Canggu, and have had a lovely time hanging out with the lifelong friends I've made on the tour. I also feel extremely comfortable being solo here now that I understand the people of Bali more. They are Kind, PATIENT, laid-back and extremely welcoming. once you realize this, you will have the time of your life. I loved my time with One Life, Abbey, and Stu and can't wait to book my next tour with them. Hopefully to the Philippines!
P.S. I almost didn't write this review because I don't want too many people to find out about it and the price to go up. This is a STEAL!! Worth every penny, I promise you.

Stu and Rihas absolutely made the experience, I have never had such enthusiastic and involved tour guides with any other company. Rihas was always smiley with a wonderful wealth of knowledge and experience. Stu was so energetic from day 1 and couldn’t do enough for everybody. He was constantly making sure that everybody was okay and having a good time and giving suggestions for free time and helping with post trip plans. Thank you One Life!

Can not fault it one bit. It was so smooth and every single bit of it was explained to us so we knew exactly what we were doing, what time to be ready and what to bring with us. We didn’t touch our big back packs the whole time, they were taken to the coach and dropped off at our rooms every time we moved to a different place.
I couldn’t believe the standard of the rooms, I thought for the price we were paying and all the activities we had planned they must have compromised on the rooms, absolutely not. In fact they just kept getting better and better.
Our tour guides Stu and Rihas were the best, they made the trip, honestly.
I must admit we were slightly concerned that we’d feel a bit like school kids on a school trip but it wasn’t like that at all, we had our own free time too and also weren’t pressured into doing anything we didn’t want to do. They both kept reminding us that it was our holiday and we could do what we wanted. Both Stu and Rihas couldn’t do enough for us and we really did feel like one big family.
I feel like we have seen and done everything that we wanted to do on our visit to Sri Lanka without having the stress of having to organise ourselves. And that in itself is such a big deal for us. We’ve just been able to enjoy ourselves and not have to worry about anything.

Tour guides Stu, Mike and Ravi were all excellent in organising everything, but more importantly in keeping everyone happy and the trip fun. For the most part, they feel like fellow travellers who are part of the tour with you (whilst doing a lot of background work to keep everything running smoothly).
In terms of the tour itself, it is a packed 12 days full of wildlife (elephants, monkeys, whales, dolphins, crocodiles, turtles to name a few...), activities (visiting temples, climbing Sigiriya rock, surfing, cooking class, massages, bike tour), bars, pools and more. You cover a lot of Sri Lanka's highlights and do so much in such a short time - in my opinion it is incredibly good value for money.
Perhaps most importantly for a group tour (I know this is what I care about when booking), as well as the guides (and driver!) being good, One Life does seem to attract some really great travellers. It's something I had read about in reviews and certainly was true in my case, I was very sad to leave the group!

I loved surfing and snorkeling, the turtles were beautiful!! Hotels were Fab and everyone we met was super helpful.

I have loved my 10 day experience in Bali and would more than likely to recommend it to family and friends. One of my favorite activities was the surfboarding and everyone was so helpful even if even if they weren't the best.
I'm so grateful for this experience and the people who I've met, the memories will last forever! Hopefully will be back on another tour soon

The trip was packed with activities, included great guides and the places we stayed were great. The trip never felt super rushed but still saw so much of Bali. Stu our Guide was absolutely amazing. He listened to everyone's opinions and concerns and did his best to always make sure we had a great time. He was very welcoming on the first day and made me feel comfortable with the moment I arrived on the tour. Our nights out Stu made sure everyone had a good time and ensured everyone got home safe. The past 10 days have gone by so fast and has been one of the best Decisions I've made this summer.

I've met a group of people who have been amazing to be with and our group leader Stu was incredible he made the tour so much fun. Everything was well-planned timed and amazing. He always made sure that everyone was involved and was happy all the time, very caring for the whole group. All the activities we did was enjoyable, fun and some I never think I would do. I.E surfing and snorkeling. when we wasn't doing activities we was still doing extra activities and chill time which was good. As well all the transport was well-planned and helpful for us. All the accommodation was lovely to stay in as well as always had friendly staff. Overall the holiday is something I will never forget, made amazing friends and memories and they will be with me forever.
I would highly recommend trutravels and definitely planning another trip with them. Thank you Stu and TruTravels.

I have absolutely loved my trip with tru travels the leader stu was the perfect tour leader as he was welcoming, friendly and fun. My favorite hotel was the one in canggu but the others were nice. The early mornings sometimes meant I had very little time to sleep in so in Ubud I was exhausted. I would definitely recommend the trip to others.

Great itinerary, enjoyed everything that we did on the tour, especially surfing and the cooking class!! Well organised and had lots of fun. All I would say is maybe another temple on the temple day tour.
Excellent value for money, overall the vest experience. A great way to see and enjoy lots of areas in Bali in a short period of time. Would definitely recommend others to do it.

Stu always made sure people had something to do in free time if people wanted to do so, such as me and few others went to waterbom waterpark after surfing and he sorted transport there.
Only improvement I'd say is add an extra temple to make the temples experience more exciting and a bit more varied. We were lucky when we went to the temple the tide was low and we could walk over and get blessed but I think I would have been disappointed if it wasn't as you can't really see much.
But overall great 10 days with a great group of people!!

It was a great way to experience the local culture with local knowledge and find hidden gems you wouldn't as a usual tourist. The hotels were all nice, with good laundry options, especially 24 hour room service at Koa. The cooking class and snorkeling were especially were brilliant, as we got to see turtles but the added extra like a welcome drink/cake and getting a recipe book to take home was lovely. The only thing is possibly add another temple or something onto temple day - but that is just a personal preference!

At times it felt a little pact full of adventure and i thought I would want more relaxing time but I am so glad we managed to fit everything in and we made the most of our Bali experience.

The local staff have been lovely to especially at the cooking class, the chef gave it a real personal touch with his mum coming to see us for welcome drinks. One thing I would suggest to change would be to have the bike tour on the first day in Gili to see the island when we arrive and have the last day as a free day.

I couldn't of asked for a better group leader. Stu was welcoming from the start and was friendly and enthusiastic throughout. He went out of his way to accommodate for everyone, suggesting activities that suited everyone's preferences whether it was a chill night on the beach by the bonfire or partying until sunrise.

Finally a big shout out to Stu for walking me back to our hotel on a night out when I wasn't feeling well!
P.S also thank you for not involving anything that included animal cruelty. E.g zoo's, horse and cart. It means a lot to see s tour company respect the place they're based.

After two and half months of travelling it was nice to hand over the reigns to someone else and it was all arranged perfectly. We definitely could not pull off a trip like this doing it ourself! A fantastic taster of Bali and has certainly convinced me that I need to come back at some point. Met some fab people, ate a lot of fab food and made hundreds of fab memories. It's also fun pretending to be a millionaire.

During the trip the group was amazing and so friendly. I wasn't wanting to stay out late so most nights I went home early and the leader was understanding of this. Every night Stu gave the itinerary for the next day and what time to be ready which was great. The other leaders also met up with us and were so fun - Freddy. Our travel agent hadn't informed us that it was a backpacking trip so we weren't prepared. The accomodation could improve but for a backpacking trip it was great.

Stu was an excellent tour guide - he ran everything down to an absolute T, always kept everybody well informed about what the plans were and went above and beyond to ensure everybody's preferences were catered to. The tour would not have been the same without him. He clearly had a lot of knowledge about and passion for Vietnam, he ensured everyone felt included and looked after and had a great way of keeping people motivated and having fun even when things sometimes couldn't go according to plan or when people felt unwell. He even organised a personalised cake for myself and another tour participant when it was our birthdays which really meant a lot. Overall, this was a unique and fun experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the best and hidden parts of Vietnam, with a mix of adventure, activity and new experiences.

Our guide was a amazing person and did an excellent job. Everytime there was nothing scheduled by ultimate Stu offered us to spend time with us and set up activities if we wanted. Also he had always a friendly ear for wishes of the group and took care that we had a amazing time. The snorkeling trip in Nha Trang was a little bit disappointing and in my opinion the day would be more satisfying if it would be spend in Da Lat with a hiking tour or a trip to the coffee farms.

The tour is well organised with some great activities included that you probably wouldn't ever think of if doing a trip by yourself. This was my first solo trip and I instantly felt welcomed and comfortable.
Accommodation: hotels were of a good standard - infinity pools, good views and all with air con!
I think the first hotel in Canggu could be better to kick off the tour with and the hotel on Gili T is a bit too far away from the nightlife (sweaty 20min bike ride away!)
Activities: good variety and plenty of additional options to take part in if you wanted to when you had some free time. I would say it was lacking in nightlife activities though. Could do with some bar crawls or cocktail making or something.
Overall an unforgettable trip!

We were joined by two Vietnamese tour guides also whom were a wealth of information and so helpful in every aspect. We experienced everything from Da Cao ( The national sport of foot badminton ) kayaking, cycling, hiking, cooking, eating weird stuff and so much more. The highlight for me was our stay in Pu Luong. Absolutely stunning. Oh! And Ha Long Bay, away from the masses of other tourists. I couldn't fault a thing and I will be booking other holidays via One Life Adventures, for sure. This is the first time I have ever been travelling without family, with only one friend who I know and from before I even arrived in Vietnam I felt very welcome and my questions answered very helpfully. Once in Vietnam the range of activities we did were a perfect balance of learning about culture, like when visiting marketplaces, pagodas and trying new kinds of food on a street food tour; to engaging in new skills, such as the cooking class and eco brick making; to relaxing by swimming in ha long bay or kayaking down the river into Hoi An.
I really enjoyed the structure that the tour had, as well as having the free time to experience Vietnam through activities of my own choice. The guides always had us in mind and gave us the flexibility to wander about on our own if we didn’t fancy the activity planned.
I also particularly liked how we rarely visited tourist traps and I feel I got to see Vietnam through the lens of a local and got the true experience of what the country has to offer. I particularly felt this when staying in Pu Luong, a countryside village far from any other tourists. Certainly a trip full of memories made for life and the people met along the way have been brilliant. I would definitely recommend this to everyone and I would want to check out the other tours that One Life have to offer.

It was a amazing 12 day trip filled with once in a lifetime experiences. It is pretty fast paced but you get to see and do so so much! My favorite was definitely the home stay in Pu Long which was just out of this world beautiful, the host family was incredibly nice and welcoming and the food was just YUMMM. Another thing I really enjoyed was the eco brick experience, where we collected some plastic trash to then turn into bricks. Those bricks will eventually turn into a playground. It was really nice to do something like this and give back to the community.
Stu was an incredible guide. I hurt my leg a few days prior to the trip and was worried if I could participate. He didn't hesitate in reassuring me that we would find a way. He always made sure I felt safe and happy and made adjustments to the activities if needed.
It is all in all just a really great, well rounded tour and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get a little taste of Vietnam.

From the ease of booking, information provided beforehand and during the tour to all the activities that were included it has been such a streamlined process. Our guides Stu and Thao couldn’t have made this a better experience. They were very easy going, full of local knowledge, helpful in every situation and most of all lots of fun to be around! The accommodation was above standard to what I was expecting. It is hard to pick a highlight as the tour covers so many different aspects. From the city life and history in Ho Chi Minh, cultural Hoi An, the sustainability project with Eco bricks to the stunning Halong Bay where you stay overnight on a beautiful boat. If I do have to pick I’d say it was the open jeep tour over Hai Van Pass and the homestay with a lovely local family who took us on one of the prettiest hikes I’ve done. Overall what I’ve enjoyed the most is that I got to do activities that I would have most likely never done if travelling alone and that we had the local knowledge of our tourguide to takes us off the beaten track. I am already looking into the next tour I can do with OneLife so I would definitely recommend!

Our guide Stu was friendly and super knowledgeable and he went out his way to make the whole trip so memorable - even down to taking a million insta pics in every location (sorry for that Stu, you’re an angel!!). Also the itinerary was perfect, we went to all the important places and then some - the cooking class and the truly unforgettable waterfall hike were such perfect additions. There were so many hidden gems and unique cultural experiences I’ll never forget from this trip! The local guide was incredibly knowledgeable and he was able to answer every question asked about Vietnam’s history, culture and more. One Life’s tour guide was well experienced and his relationship with the local guide set the precedence for the trip, especially the communication between the travellers and the guides. The local guide for the Sapa extension was gorgeous, she was bubbly and full of energy. She catered for those who struggled with the initial path and was happy to take an easier route. Her relationship with the owners of the homestay was beautiful and they loved to mingle with us travellers. I cannot rate this experience highly enough!

One life adventures has a big focus on ecotourism and this was shown when having the opportunity to make éco bricks’ made out of rubbish we collected to help build a playground for a local school. We got to experience a mixture of transport including some overnight trains which were surprisingly very comfortable. All of the accommodation exceeded my expectations and was of a high standard. Our two tour guides, Stu and Thao were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we all had the best time.

I have personally done at least five group travel tours and this was the by far the best- everything was extremely seamless and I couldn’t fault it. There were many inclusions - amazing accomodation, transfers - buses and trains, breakfasts and some lunch and dinners, kayaking, private jeeps, dragon boat, bikes, cooking classes, walking and food tours… the list goes on. Not only is Vietnam a great country, but it has so much to offer with beautiful scenery and things to see and do, everyday was different and kept each one of us excited for what was next in store. Our tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and professional - Thao and Stu, they accommodated all of our personal requests which was very much appreciated. I couldn’t recommend One life highly enough and am already looking in booking another tour with them later this year!

All my expectations were exceeded above and beyond and my mind still can’t believe everything with did and how different everything was. I think my two top highlights (although it’s so hard to choose) were the homestay in Pu Loung and the homestay/hiking in Sapa. May, the guide in Sapa was incredibly knowledgeable, bubbly, funny and full of life.
Thao and Stu were absolutely fantastic guides for the whole trip and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better. They both were extremely knowledgeable and were excellent at playing to each other’s strengths. Not to mention they both made us laugh constantly and if we ever needed anything they sorted it unbelievably quickly.
To highlight a few of the individual activities my absolute favourite was the Eco bricks in Hoi An. This activity just highlights everything about One Life’s stance on sustainable tourism. To be a part of something so special and to be a part of change and helping the environment was unforgettable. Da Cau in Ho Chi Minh was something I would never have done on my own but was so unique and so Vietnam and we all had a ball. Kayaking into Hoi An showed Hoi An from such a beautiful angle and was so much fun. The night on the boat in Halong Bay was just breathtaking and special in completely different way.
All the transport was smooth and comfortable, with my personal favourite being the overnight trains as they are surprisingly comfortable and we had a great time bonding and getting to know each other.
The 15 days are jam packed with activities and beautiful scenery and I’ve probably missed some favourites just because it’s so hard to choose. This tour is one of the best tours I have ever been on and I promise you will have an incredible time with One Life on this trip!

The variety of experiences on the tour is incredible and it exceeded my expectations. In terms of feedback on what could be improved, I think we could have received more information - in the form or a cultural and country introduction at the beginning (some basics around cultural and socio-political information)and perhaps a digital hand out similar to the itinerary with more information about the places we visited and why they were selected by One Life to be included in the tour. For people like me that want to know more / enjoy reading. I’m sure in time the tour will be refined and improved.

You get good value for money with all the travelling included and many meals too included. There’s also no dull day there’s sooo much planned and I was always entertained.
Personally I liked getting involved in the genuine Filipino culture and mixing with the locals. It was really nice to see a none touristy side of the Philippines that I would definitely not have seen without this tour. I liked visiting the nursery, prison, island hopping with the locals boats and eating genuine Filipino food cooked by the locals. Seeing first hand how one life as company impact the locals all positively. In contrast to this, I loved our tour guy Stu that always set the mood for night and made everyone get involved. I felt like he actually cared about all of us, made the whole group very comfortable and would always be there to help.

For me it was definitely trying so much of the Vietnamese cuisine. I'm a huge foodie so from eating in the restaurants to the local street vendors, it was amazing. I can now say Vietnamese Banh Mi is my favourite ever food!

Port Barton was my favourite experience on the trip. It was both peaceful and full of life. The snorkelling on our island hopping tour was beautiful and spending time with the group on our overnight camp was great fun.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the Filipino experience with Mark and Shenny. It brought good variety to the trip and we did a bunch of cool activities.
Last but not least, I will cherish the friendships that I have made with the group. All of us got along really well and I am sure it won't be the last time I see them.

She had a lot of patience and answered all of my questions....even the dumb ones And even if she wasnt in charge of the weather ..... she always made sure there is an alternative option for us to do. I have used alternative tour providers in the past but I was instantly impressed with One Life from the start. On day 3, I had already purchased another tour with One Life for next year. The tour guides treat the locals like family and encourage this passion to each member. The activities were fun but still allowed people to relax. I would 100% recommend to anyone considering booking.
We stayed on a private island in Port Barton that was set up with our own camping facilities. We had the local guides cook us a fresh feast and one of them bought their guitar. He sang to us under the stars on the beach and we danced until the early morning.

Both island hopping experiences were just incredible, definitely my favourite experiences on this tour. The vibe on the boat journeys to each island is amazing and the food cooked on the boat is next level.
This was the best place to overcome the irrational fear of deep water! All of the snorkelling was absolutely amazing, the scuba diving was also a big step but totally worth it, I loved seeing all the different sea life and coral reefs.

It's more like an 7 day tour with the first day only
meeting at night. The second day you fly early and
visit a prison but nothing else really that day. The last day you say goodbye. They work with the communities closely though which is amazing to see your travels impact positively on the towns.

One of the main highlights for me was the island hopping. The water was so clear and it was just so nice to get away from the craziness of everyday life and relax for a few days. I was travelling alone and found myself in a group of 11 amazing people from different nationalities, all very welcoming and with a very positive attitude. Stu, our guide, made sure we all felt included and we were having fun all the time!

Where do I even start?! From the get go our tour guide Stu was amazing, making every experience unforgettable. The passion he has for One Life, touring and the relationships they’ve formed with the local guides was infectious, you felt like you were meeting up with the extended family!

Snorkeling around coral reefs with tropical fish, singing with locals next to a bonfire on a remote beach, ziplining between 2 islands and visiting a school were just some of the activities i enjoyed the most.

The weather gods were looking after us on this trip, we were so lucky to have enjoyed all the Palawan has to offer in sunshine and perfect sunsets every day.
Port Barton was my highlight. We reached the ocean after 2 hot days travelling about. It was a sunny afternoon (post rain shower), everyone in the group came together to have a few cold beers while swimming in the warm water watching the sun set and taking in the beautiful place that is Port Barton. A memory I’ll never forget.

Our One life buddy Stu was the best guide we could have, this guy is amazing, very kind, always available to give you tips and info to enjoy your experience at best. The plan of the day is always explained in advance and you will always get a great mood to enjoy all the activities. Stu was always in a great mood and ready to involve you in activities or respect your time for relax. This was extremely important especially when you might want some time for you to spend by yourself.
The tour is simply amazing, well planned, incredibly nice accomodation, where to relax and enjoy pool happy hours. Great food is always available if you are a foodie and you are looking for typical experience of Balinese cuisine. Indonesia will just display to you in its incredible features. The snorkeling activities allowed me to discover so many beauties from the Ocean and the wildlife that lives in it. I was full of adrenaline during the climb of Mount Batur during the early morning and the sunrise I could enjoy. The local guides are fantastic and friendly and always ready to let you enjoy the mervellous things of Bali. The visit to Gili and Nusa Penida were unforgettable: the beaches, sunsets, food and watersports were great and you won't forget about the hours spent looking for top spots for pictures with nature. Everything is just perfectly arranged to let you dive into the Balinese environment. I fell in love with Ubud and its cultural vivacity, full of temples and nature even in the city. The monkey forest was an incredible attraction as well and I will not forget about all the tips given by Stu and the guides to respect the nature and the animals that live in the island.

The guide Stu is definitely one of the highlights. He organises everything, takes care of everyone’s interests / needs and is always in a good mood. Snorkelling in three different amazing places is one of the other highlights as well as experiencing the traditional Balinese culture in Ubud and staying in the sleepy non touristic village pemuteran.

Generally everything was organised really well. Lots of planned activities and hidden gems as well as the must sees, plus in certain spots where there is lots to do we had heaps of free time to explore (but no lack of recommendations for those times if you need them)
For me the highlights were nusa Penida for the scenery alone
We had clouds for the Mt Batur hike from Ubud but was absolutely stunning and was nice to have the arvo after free for chilling / massages / whatever you’re into
Another is Pemuteran- honestly a hidden gem and part of why I booked the tour. Amazing snorkelling and good times all round, especiall the accommodation is just fab
Also got to mention Stu and Abbey, both of them are absolutely part of what made the tour so good

Bit bummed that we missed out on East Java and Mount Bromo, however loved the addition of Nusa
Would’ve loved if the Gili T snorkelling included some island hopping to Gili Air and Gili Meno to explore for 30 minutes to an hour. Especially since we had a free afternoon, so would’ve been good to explore.
More breaks on the hike up Mount Batur would be great. Probably would’ve made it up if there was a slower group who were able to take more breaks.

Tour is very well timed and planned. Also, it’s adjusted based on the types of people in the group. Some people like more free time and some like to be ocupied with all kind of activities. Stu and Abby really doing everything they can and more to make experience seem less for any traveller. They love what they do and enjoying their experience with us. All accommodations were good. Good food, good activities. We had surfing, snorkeling, cleaning ceremony, Balinese dance, went to temple, did a hike and enjoyed beautiful beaches and point views and many more. This tour requires some physical activity, make sure you are fit and ready to explore the world. Looking forward to come to the next trip with one life adventures!

The biggest highlight of the trip for me was definitely Nusa Penida, it’s probably the most beautiful place I have ever been. The Hotel had the best rooms and view ever and the vibe on the island was great. I love snorkelling and freediving and we did that 3 times on this trip, the one life crew has found all the best spots for us the whole trip!

Sumudu’s wealth of knowledge and Stu’s resourcefulness ensured we had the most authentic trip. Any question could be answered by Sumudu; he went above and beyond to provide as much information
as possible. His kindness radiated throughout and I’m sure I’ll have heaps more questions to bug him with in future. Stu was the best tour guide I’ve come across; he instantly felt like a lifelong pal and his little pea head was always there for whatever you needed ;) Both will hold a very dear place in my heart.
Visiting Chandy’s restaurant was a definite highlight as you could see how much pride she took in her food and what it meant to her to have us there. The safaris were also a highlight as you never know what you’re going to see. For us, there were plenty of elephants which was a dream. The dog sanctuary made the trip aswell; seeing so many dogs throughout Sri Lanka, it was heart warming to know there were people looking out for them. Sri Lanka will always have a place in my heart and I can’t wait to come back!

Sumudu was our local tour guide and has been a tour guide for 24 years. My god he is brilliant, full of knowledge and made everyone in the group feel like a part of his family. We must have asked him a million questions and he took the time to explain everything to us. He’s has such a kind soul and will always have a place in my heart.
Couldn’t recommend this trip enough, I will definitely be looking forward to returning to Sri Lanka.

All of it! Seriously everyday was a highlight and bought something new. What really stands out about this tour compared to others is the train ride to Ella, staying at a river camp and the countryside bike tour. It’s these things that go above and beyond any itinerary I’ve seen before.

I quickly noticed that this was a group who wanted the best for all of us and fixed everything ? For example, when my luggage had disappeared on arrival due to the airline, the local guide Ravi took care of all the phone calls and had my luggage sent to the hotel as soon as possible.
The bus driver and assistant (Pradeepe and Amila) were always ready on time and met us with a big smile every single day and I always felt safe to ride with them

We were a group of 8 people which I enjoyed a lot, since it kind of felt like a little family traveling together.
Stu & Ravi, our tour guides, really did his best to make our experience worthwhile and tried to show us only the best side of Sri Lanka. Although the country was/is in a political and economic crisis at the moment, we managed to experience a very special trip!
The itinerary covers all the important things you have to visit and try, so I can only recommend doing the tour with one life.
There were so many highlights that I keep mixing them all up all the time. We had an awesome cooking class, where we also learned about all the different spices used in Sri Lankan cuisine and how to make the perfect curry. During our trip we had the opportunity to go on safari twice in two different natural reserves, where we could get a glimpse of wildlife. Our guides also showed us the cultural side of the country, which is closely tied to the religious mix that coexists here and we even had the opportunity to talk to a monk at a temple in Kandy. Taking the most scenic train ride from Nuwara Elya to Ella is an absolute must for travellers but with the insider information of our guides we had the chance to get the best seats on the train. Towards the end of the tour we even had a surfing lesson for everyone who was interested and we all did a very good job at trying and enjoying our time on the boards.
I'm pretty sure I forgot something but as you can see, there's a lot to experience and thousands of memories to be made in Sri Lanka.

And i specially loooved that Stew always catched the mood of the group and organized a lot beyond the tour and above that what he must have. For example we had a free evening but would like to eat together as a group -> He organized a restaurant for us and checked that the orders and everything went smooth.
He always let us know that he want us to be happy & was also very calm when something went unplanned. Specially also the Sri Lankan team was sooo nice and managed every difficultys like road blockades, train delays etc

Both our guides, Stu and Sumudu were incredibly welcoming, positive and passionate about their job and ensuring everyone had the most amazing time. They really do and will go above and beyond; From decorating the bus for birthdays, to setting up a beach bonfire dinner as well as supporting local businesses in these difficult times. Their efforts were immeasurable. With the addition of the driving team Anthony & Shantha tackling some last minute reroutes ensuring we safely made it our next stop amidst some road blocks the team is truly exceptional. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country that greets you with a smile everywhere you turn. The people are welcoming and truly appreciative of returning tourism and I highly recommend you go ahead and book it in now.
Elephants safaris were both amazing. Dambulla Cave temple was worth the hike up - stunning and incredibly preserved wall paintings.

Our tour guide Stu and the local tour guide Sumudu were absoluty phenomenal. They have so much passion for their job and are extremely helpful, kind and generous. They answered all our questions at any time without hesitation and kept eveyone happy. Additionally we had the best bus driver Shantha and his assistant Anthony. As of the current political situation in Sri Lanka (protests against the government) things didn’t always go as planned, but the 4 of them all went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience, everything run smoothly for us and we were safe the entire time. They made us feel like one big family. Definitely a unique and incredible tour I won’t forget. Well done One Life Adventures for setting this trip up and recruiting such a fantastic team. There were so many highlight in this tour, we saw elephants, turtles, beautiful landscapes and beaches, hiked up Sigirya mountain and got to travel the beautiful scenic route on the train. And the list goes on and on... but the biggest highlight of the tour was definitely the marvelous crew! Stu was an outstanding tour guide! He was very well organised and looked out for each and everyone on the tour. With his humor and passion for his work he truly exceeded my expectation. We were lucky to have the wonderful Sumudu as our local tour guide. He gave us the local perspective and brought us closer to the culture of Sri Lanka. The bus driver and his assistant, Shantha and Anthony also did a fablulous job and brought us and our luggage safely to every location. All of the crew memebers were alwyas kind and did everything in there power to create the experience of a life time for us. And they definitely succeded in that!

Our tour guide Stu, was a lovely and fun guy, he was super organised and positive to be around.
Our local tour guide, Sumudu was extremely knowledgeable on the rich and fascinating history of Sri Lanka, with years of experience as a guide, he really help us all to connect with the wonderful culture there.
Our driver Shantha was always punctual and got us safely and quickly to all the places we needed to go!
Our driver assistant Anthony, was kind and always helpful, going out of his way to make sure we were comfortable.

My favourites were exploring the tea plantation (a tea lover myself), the tracking down the beautiful waterfalls in ella, and finally on one of our last days our tour guide Stu managed to pull together a discovery scuba dive in hikkaduwa at our request. Phenomenal.
I highly rate this amazing, life-changing tour and was honoured to be there for Sri lanka during a difficult time! God bless this beautiful country!!
