About me:Hi, I’m Dem and I’m a Contiki Trip Manager in Europe. I’m a travel addict and love immersing myself in new and exciting cultures. I then get to show travellers the world and add to their wanderlust. I like to think that “trip manager” loosely translates to professional gallivanter and adventure connoisseur in the ancient and undeciphered Linear A, the language of the Minoans. I also hope the Phaistos Disc holds all the answers to the universe with the recipe for the greatest chicken soup ever made.

Despite the brief stops in each location, I was able to get a taste of the culture with a an agenda that had the perfect mix of structure and time to explore. Trips on the coach were smooth, with amazing driver Raf behind the wheel. It was a pleasure to spend some down time with Raf and Dem and their knowledge and experience was incredible. The organisation was impressive and smooth which made the trip stress free

Demi our trip manager was amazing with such a positive attitude it made any anxious solo traveller feel right at home and welcomed into such a warm environment.
Also on board the Dionis ship the crew were outstanding from the food to the bar it was impeccable and definitely great value for money.

It was quite the contrary, there will always be people who will talk to you & want to be around you. I found a great group of friends, we went on so many great adventures, learned a lot about Iceland, ate SUCH GOOD FOOD, and saw the best sights. Demi was a stellar trip manager, she made me feel so comfortable, she knows her stuff, and she made me laugh so many times during the trip. I'm so glad I went on this trip, and if you're on the fence, I'd say book it now, you won't regret it!

The only downside of the Flexi tour was that by staying longer on one of the islands we had to leave our amaaaazing guide Demi!! She brought our tour group together into the funnest little fam in no time and made such a huge effort to make the whole tour fun and inclusive for everyone. Not only did she somehow manage to smash us all in shot challenges and karaoke - but also shared so much knowledge on Greek culture and history and the incredible hamburger making abilities of the Ancient Greek gods. She was the wiser, cooler, smarter friend we needed who very kindly put up with us being two pretty lost, always late and battling gals.

Not long before we all became a family, making it hard to leave. Any question we had she had an answer and would go to any extent to make sure we had all questions covered. Travelling solo was something of a concern, thanks to Demi & Busabout it will never be a worry again.

Demi was fantastic. Always bubbly despite the late nights/early mornings, eager to help, and gave us loads of helpful information. You can tell that she LOVES her job which makes all the difference. I would book another Busabout tour purely because of her enthusiasm and passion for travelling.

Demi was very friendly and outgoing and you could always ask her questions about the places we were visiting or just even to have a chat. Would definitely recommend Demi to a friend because if she wasn’t my tour guide for this adventure I doubt it would have been nearly as fun and exciting.

I had very little knowledge about the culture and history before going on this trip however, Demi did a fantastic job of applying her knowledge and teaching us the incredible and saddening history of Vietnam. Whilst she was a great tour guide and provided us with so much information about the country, she was also someone we all grew so close to. It takes more then just a tour guide to form such a great atmosphere and relationships with the other people on tour! The personable character Demi is made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and memorable! Her attitude towards life and work was incredibly inspiring, making myself in particular realise the most important thing in life is to be embracing what you love and to simply be happy. Overall Vietnam has been the most surreal experience, I’ve met friends for life and made memories I’ll never forget!

Eat with the locals and get a bit of an insight into the way they live, go to main attractions and get your insta pics but you certainly wouldn't be getting the same deep understanding of the country's rich and troubled past that we got from Demi on the Vietnam Adventure. There's a lot of history to unpack in Vietnam and she gave us a great overview and confidently answering any question thrown at her!
It was great to get off the beaten track and have Demi show us the best little places in every town for a Banh Mi or a cocktail with a view! We covered a lot of ground and spent a lot of time together, but our group turned into one big family pretty much straight away thanks to Demi's welcoming attitude and friendly demeanour. So so so many memories that'll last longer than a lifetime! Had such a ball and 110% recommend Demi as a guide. All her suggestions were spot on.
Started to crack the sads about half-Hue when it began to sink in that I couldn't stay on this trip forever... I work as a guide back home and want to be like Demi when I grow up ;)

I went at the very end of the season so it wasn't as busy in the bars which made for a more intimate experience but the beaches were quieter which was nice.
Overall I think Demi made the tour what it was and kept it being fun and exciting.

Not only was Demi informative and knowledgeable about Greece but she was very approchable and adapted to everyone's tastes needs and personalities. We became great mates in the short time we had together and i can honestly say everyone will get along with her. Man what else...she is a bloody ripper and i can't wait to go on tour with her again, it's been amazing. Trust me, if you happen to tour with Demi you are going to have one hell of a hilarious, fun, chill and crazy ride!

She was fun, energetic, knowledgeable and made it an experience worth my money! Only thing i woulf like to add to the your would be to add activites on the Sunday we get to Santorini, if possible. I would have preferred to have left earliwr that morning to see Santorini earlier and do more. Thank you Demi!

Demi was one of my favourite people on the whole trip. Constantly making sure everyone had different options of where to go, what to eat, what to see and how to get to and from places. She tried to make sure everyone could have the trip they wanted to have, unfortunately some people weren’t happy with some things and took this out in her. Despite this she still kept her bubbly, happy attitude and kept trying to keep everyone happy. Demi is a legend! Would 110% do another busabout with her as my guide.

She was very efficient with all of the transport and little travelling trips e.g. where to go and where not to go as this information is totally invaluable! Further, her warm and welcoming nature to everyone made the trip even more memorable. Couldn’t recommend this trip anymore especially with Demi as a guide!

The tour itself was fantastic - the only thing that I would have liked to see improved is adding an extra day in Santorini. There is just SO MUCH to do/see there, that I didn't feel the 2 days (which included travel) was enough.
