    Overall the trip was excellent. We did a hotel upgrade and all hotels were good. All the guides were excellent and very informative and on time every day. All lunches were good. The only issue we had was the WhatsApp messages on the day before that you received regarding pickup time and extra activities were a bit generic and some of the information was incorrect but with a few messages back this was all sorted out. The final conclusion is we were very happy with everything.

    We really enjoyed our trip. It was very well organized and we were able to capture the essence of beautiful Turkey in 10 days. The groups were small enough so we didn't felt rushed. However, like to warn that this tour is not for older people if they have some mobility issues, since there are some walks on cobblestone and uphill.

If you're trying to decide between tour styles, I'd lean toward the smaller groups. Some of our customers who've done the larger bus tours with companies like Eskapas mentioned the quality can be hit or miss, and you might spend more time than you'd like on the bus between stops. The private and small group options tend to work better for most people - you get more attention from the guide and can move at a more natural pace. The way these companies adapted during Covid shows a lot about how they operate. Tour Altinkum was particularly good about working with travelers on rescheduling and refunds, which isn't something every company managed well during that time. Their local knowledge really came through when plans needed quick adjustments. Just keep in mind that while the bigger group tours are often cheaper, you're trading some of that personal touch and flexibility that makes the smaller tours special.
