A wonderful independent holiday! Madeira is a beautiful island, an open-air botanical garden, and hiking is the best way to explore its diverse walking trails. If you have more time you should definitely try the extended version of this tour since it goes to really different parts of the island.

We booked a tour in Madeira with Traventuria. The trails along the ancient irrigation channels and through the cloud forests of Madeira were simply stunning. The flowers were in full bloom. And the vistas from Pico Ruivo above the clouds will be something we will remember forever. The choice of hotels was great. All transfers were on time and the navigation materials we were given never let us down. Definitely one of the best tours we have booked in the past years.

We enjoyed the tour in general. The only thing we missed was a little bit harder hiking, as it was rated as moderate, we thought it would be more complicated.
