A fantastic itinerary spoiled by a very inexperienced guide and the last night of accommodation was in a local inn where I felt very unsafe and was of poor quality.

Devine African Safaris was our tour company for Rwanda and Uganda and it was an excellent choice. Our accommodations included hotels as well as lodges and all were unique, clean and comfortable. The Safari vehicle was perfect, the roof opened for better viewing, and Nicolas, our guide and companion for a week kept it immaculate. Game viewing in Uganda and Rwanda, is fantastic because the animals are more relaxed and do not flee when they see us, but just keep eating, bathing and continuing with their normal activities. Of course, one of the thrills of the trip was the Gorilla trek, but it was not the only highlight. Rwanda had made an extraordinary recovery from its period of violence and genocide. Kigali, the capital is clean and safe even after dark. If there is one downside to Africa, it is the culture of tripping. Always be prepared with a pocket full of small bills. These two countries should be a top pick for safari destinations.
