What people love about touring Palawan Island solo

- West Philippines Classic 10 Day - One Life Adventures
10 days in the Philippines — and I didn’t expect it to hit like this. I went in thinking it would just be a break. Beaches, good weather, disconnect for a bit. What I got instead was something much deeper. From Manila to Palawan, and especially Puerto Princesa, the experience was raw, simple, and real. Life there moves differently. People are open, warm, and present in a way that’s hard to find in more “developed” places. Island hopping was a highlight. Clear water, untouched nature, and moments where you just stop and think — this is what life is supposed to feel like. No noise, no pressure, just existence. But what stood out most wasn’t the scenery. It was what happened internally. Traveling solo, even within a group, forced me into discomfort. Sitting alone at times, observing, not distracting myself — and realizing I’m actually okay with that. More than okay. Stronger, more grounded, more self-aware. There were moments of complete detachment — sitting in a beach bar, live music playing, and just watching everything without needing to be part of it. That’s new for me. And powerful. At the same time, I saw how easy life can be when it’s stripped down. Less noise. Less pressure. It made me question things — where I am, how I live, and what actually matters. This trip wasn’t just a holiday. It was a reset. I will definitely be back. Special shoutout to Johnny Vazquez — top-tier energy, and made the whole experience run smooth..
