It's relatively small for a Kenyan park, but a great add-on between Masai Mara and Nairobi. The lake's pink hue (when flamingos are there) against savanna and acacia forests is a true wonder to see.

On the way from Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru, the guide showed us important places along the way. Arrived at Lake Nakuru and saw the amazing beauty of the 'Pink Lake', where millions of flamingos were together. Not only flamingos, more than 400 species of birds can be seen here. We spent the night in a beautiful lodge. On the next morning's game drive, we saw many more animals, including rhinos. The proximity to nature is mind-blowing while taking part in the afternoon nature walk. Our tour was so well organized that we felt safe and happy every moment.

Our experience was beyond excellent! The accommodation was amazing and the food was outstanding at all the locations. The staff were also all very friendly. We were picked up from our hotel by our guide Simon who stayed with us for the whole trip. He was always punctual, exceptionally friendly and consistently went out of his way to accommodate our wishes. He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the animals and made sure we saw as much as possible (which was a lot!). We saw all the big 5 plus many more rare sights. I genuinely couldn’t fault this trip and would book again in a heartbeat. This trip was a bucket list dream that finally was realised and I don’t think it would have been as good with any other company or guide.
