The hikes were tough but absolutely worth it and the views from the top were unreal. I've been on a trip with Fresh Adventures in the Rockies before and was happy to see that they offered a Yukon trip as well. The guides, Carl and Alex were fun to be around and the rest of the group was amazing. Loved all the good times and the laughs in the van. Thanks for a great trip!

I wanted an experience that pushed me to be adventurous and one that was set within natural landscapes. Fresh Adventures fulfilled both. I not only was able to see some of the most breathtaking landscapes I have ever seen but also gained loads of information on places we went from our knowledgeable guide, Alex. All the while amazing meals kept us fueled along the way. The small size of the group allowed us to easily bond and be flexible which enriched the experience. Fresh Adventures is the ideal way to experience the Rocky Mountains and more!

Alex, the …Our recently completed Fresh Adventures “Vancouver Island Adventure” was simply put, an incredible experience all around that we will treasure as one of our lifelong most memorable trips. Alex, the owner, delivered a unique connectivity with the awesome natural beauty and diversity of Vancouver Island for everyone irrespective of camping/hiking/paddling skills.
Each day was jam packed with adventure and quality of food one might expect to get at a fine restaurant. From the first growth forests of Cathedral Grove to riding a pack freighter through Barkley Sound to sea kayaking out of protected islands near Torino and the expansive splendor and ruggedness of Strathcona Park as experienced by hiking to high mountain lakes, our 8 days flew by however our memories are indelibly etched in our souls.
Were it possible, we’d give Alex and Fresh Adventures a 6 on a 1-5 scale. We enthusiastically recommend doing this trip !

Works his butt off to keep all members of the group happy (which can be hard when some in the group are intermediate skiers and others want to jump off cliffs). He picks great restaurants, great mountains, and great lines. Can't wait to try out one of his summer tours!

This tour was terrible. While the website states it’s appropriate for beginners, this is false. As beginners, my wife and I were dumped at the beginner slope each day while the guide had fun with the …This tour was terrible. While the website states it’s appropriate for beginners, this is false. As beginners, my wife and I were dumped at the beginner slope each day while the guide had fun with the more experienced skiers. The guide spent virtually no time with us except at mealtimes. Even when I fell and injured myself (whiplash and concussion, it turned out), he refused to leave the experienced skiers alone for half an hour to take me to the hospital, and went back up the mountain to have fun while I caught a taxi to the emergency room.
The guide is unreliable and seems more interested in being able to make money while doing his hobby than in actually helping those who paid for his guidance and knowledge.
If you’re a beginner, avoid this tour. You can save thousands by booking your own lessons and
accommodation.

I just came back from a winter tour led by Alex and I can confidently say that he made it the trip of a lifetime. Alex knew all the best runs to ski/board where we would find amazing powder to go through. Alex was even kind enough to give me a few quick snowboarding tips which really helped me out. Alex took us to some amazing restaurants that served some amazing food and knew the best cafes to go to for top quality coffee.
It was really nice to go on a trip and not have to worry about what time we needed to get up or what time we needed to leave location X to arrive at location Y as Alex had everything perfectly planned out.
Going on this tour, I didn't feel like just another customer at all, I felt like family and couldn't help feel a little sad when it was time for the tour to come to an end. I'll definitely be returning next year.

All in all a wonderful experience, a truly unique and awe inspiring adventure - don't book this if you want the luxury of preening 4 times a day but do go if you want a 5* experience, if you want to see loads of different animals, amazing scenery, feel dwarfed by 250 foot (75 m) trees, pause as a bear strolls in front of the van, paddle to a waterfall in a canoe, jump in to sparkling lakes, watch whales, seals, sea lions in their natural habitat and generally learn more about this fascinating part of the world. Alex's professionalism should be commended, the organisation was faultless and the food was exemplary, most of all he went over and beyond to ensure everyone had a great time. I would strongly recommend this tour, especially to those looking for an escape to nature.

Everything was very organized and we returned home with many great memories and photos. Would definitely recommend it to others.

It was my first camping and multiday hiking trip. For something to be memorable, it has to be just a tad harder than everyday experience. This trip provided just that. Alex provided lessons to anyone who wanted to learn (setting up tents, climbing a small rock wall, cooking, learning to recognize wild berries and tree species, best way to deal with bears, island history). At the same time Alex always had back-up plans for anyone who needed a different activity. I enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to coming back.

Alex made the whole planning process really easy, with lots of help and useful tips. The actual tour more than lived up to our expectations - a great guide, a really fun group of people, and the best camp food we've ever had. The trip was pretty active for our group - Alex took a lot of care to match the activities to the capabilities of each group member. The scenery was amazing, especially on the guided hikes across snowy terrain and up to look at the glaciers. The optional activities we did, horseriding and white-water rafting, were a great addition. Overall, one of the best trips we've ever taken. Thanks Alex.

Alex catered to all ski /boarding abilities and was very flexible during the trip. He knew the terrain and the area very well which helped us get the most out of our trip! Alex's love of adventure, winter sports and the great outdoors makes him the perfect host for a tour like this!

My husband loved exploring the rain forest and old growth trees while the Gulf Islands and ocean safaris were more my thing. We saw a bear and lots of porpoises as well as several seals and sea lions. The eagles were everywhere too! Glad we took this tour and hoping to do another in the future.

Thanks to Alex and the Fresh Adventures team we had no reason to worry and were kept in good hands the whole time. We loved the marine excursions and seeing the whole Island in one go. We actually live in BC, but havent done much exploring on the Island so this tour made things really easy. Camping was much more comfortable than I expected. My only advice is to bring a sweater. I forgot mine and there were one or two moments when I could have used it. The campfire kept me warm, and luckily the weather was great too. It was sunny almost the whole time, which surprised us, because we heard that Vancouver Island is rainy. All in all great tour and a great place to explore!

This took all the stress and need for planning out of our holiday so we could simply relax and enjoy it. The tou…Just came back from the 11 day ski tour with Fresh Adventures and already miss it! I had a way better time than I possibly could have hoped for with some of the best snowboarding of my life. The tour really is an adventure through some of the best places to ski in Canada, visiting several down to earth mountain towns along the way. Alex, our guide, was really friendly and cheerful and was able to show us all the best powder stashes along the way. He also took us to some really cool hot springs and booked us in to lots of really cool restaurants each night. I didn't have to worry about a thing the entire time and was surprised how nice the hotels were that we stayed in. I would suggest this trip to anyone looking for a fun, off the beaten path ski trip in Canada and I hope to come back next year. Thanks Alex!

Alex was a wonderful guide and host on the 9 day hike through the Rockies. He is friendly, knowledgeable about the places we hiked through and very accommodating to his guests needs. He is friendly, knowledgeable about the places we hiked through and very accommodating to his guests needs. I cannot emphasise enough the quality and variety of the food provided, ranging from blueberry pancake breakfasts and cheese fondue lunches to chargrilled steak and fish taco dinners. It truly made the trip all the more special and unique to Fresh Adventures.
The tent, sleep mat and sleeping bag provided served me well, keeping me warm and dry through some inclement weather. Be prepared to pitch in by putting up and taking down your tent and gear. You'll reach grandmaster level after 8 nights.
The hikes we went on varied from reasonably gentle to challenging, depending on your fitness level. For the more challenging hikes, Alex provided options for those who didn't feel up to it. The other activities on offer, such as horse riding and a stroll around Jasper also added variety to the trip.
If you're looking for a hiking/camping trip with a difference, Fresh Adventures is a safe bet. Thanks for a great experience Alex!

From pickup to drop off we were blown away by the level of service. The itinerary is so well thought out to include hiking opportunities for all levels of ability and interests.
We had a great mix in our group which included beginner hikers and a few who were a lot more experienced. Alex was able to provide opportunities that met the needs of everyone in the group. This tour would be fantastic for anyone new to camping as well, and who wants to try it in a safer group environment. Camping for 8 days felt so comfortable when we were treated to the most 'gourmet' campsite meals day after day! Before the tour Alex answered all of our questions and any concerns we had about the tour which really put our mind at ease.
I would recommend this tour for solo travellers, couples, friends - young and old! Thank you again Fresh Adventures for the trip of a lifetime to an incredible part of the world that is the Rockies!!! :)

Every day was spectacular! Hiking trails, forests, ocean, lakes, beaches, natural hot springs, wildlife, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, picnics with gorgeous views, amazing meals and evening fireside chats. These are just a few of the experiences we were treated to on this trip.
Tour guides Claire and Alex did an incredible job of accommodating everyone’s needs on the tour and were super knowledgeable about the area.
If you enjoy camping or want to give camping a try there is no better way to see and experience beautiful Vancouver Island in a week.
