This was the perfect combination of party, culture, chillax and activity. Shane (our tour leader) was amazing from start to finish. He knows how to get the group to gel, and always pumped up to ensure we all had a great time. Can't recommend this tour AND SHANE enough!

The tour itself was amazing, regarding what we did and the places we went but having Shane as our leader made it 10 times better, he was no doubt always up for a laugh and having fun but he also went out of his way to help people on the tour if they felt uncomfortable about anything or if anything happened, for example my phone broke on the trip and Shane went out of his way to take it to the phone shop (even on his favourite activity day). This is a 10/10 tour with a 10/10 guy and I would do it all over again if I could.

This 10-day Bali tour with Shane is something I cannot even put into words. I wish this experience upon everyone. All 15 of us were friends from the second we met, and by the time Shane showed up day 1 for the introductions, we were already having the trip of a lifetime. The group size is perfect - you can be great friends with everyone, and you get the chance to get to know everyone to the point of knowing these people will be your life-long friends. Shane did a great job as our guide to go above and beyond our expectations - suggesting and offering up additional excursions, showing us the true ins and outs of each new place, planning the days to fit the type of group we were, and taking the time to get to know each and every one of us - proving that we weren't just another person rolling through his life, we're now friends of his too, and part of his travelling experience. I can honestly say that this trip was something I wish I could re-live over and over again. As I sit in the airport ready to move onto my next adventure, I can't help but wish I had my #Shaneless people here with me.

All of the accommodation was so nice and I felt like we really got to experience some of the best parts of Bali through great trips and activities. The trip is also a great starting point if you wanted to get to know Bali before travelling more by yourself. Our tour guide Shane was really amazing. He made everyone feel so welcome and part of the bigger group. He also made the effort to get to know each person. My favourite parts of the trip had to be the surf lesson on Kuta beach and the boat trip around the Gili Islands with snorkelling. I've definitely made friends that I'll stay in contact with and I couldn't recommend it more for a solo traveller wanting to meet people and have a good laugh.

Some of my favorite days were spent surfing, learning about Balinese cuisine at a really nice cooking class in Ubud, and snorkeling around the Gili Islands We also had a water fall stop off on the way to Ubud that was one of the highlights on the trip. TruTravels really makes sure that the group is having a good time. (Im biased, I loved Shane so I cannot speak for other tour guides ;)). I have many fond memories of hanging out with out group and our guide that I will smile about for years to come. Already looking forward to my next trip with TruTravels!

Bali has been great. We have seen a lot and stayed in beautiful hotels. From visiting temples, to the monkey forest, swimming in a waterfall, going surfing, Balinese cooking class and more. You still have some free time in between if you just want to relax at the pool or do some more exploring or extra activities (like diving).
We had a amazing group and the tour guides make it an great experience! Definitely recommend them :)

Good length of tour, managed to fit a lot into the days and still have a decent amount of free time to do what we liked. Our guide had great local knowledge and we ate and drank at good places at good prices. Very much enjoyed the cooking class (Jeding) and the staff at the cooking place were so lovely. Shane was friendly, informative and really helpful from when we met him to when it came to the end of the tour and he helped us book the next stage of our trips after the tour. Gave us a lot of choice on what we wanted to do but also pointed out the best places. Pizza place in Gilly T was phenomenal. All in all a great trip and we felt we experienced a lot in Bali without the negatives of having to find your own way. Thanks Shane and thanks Tru Travels!!

My TruTravels Bali trip was way better than I expected! It was my first time travelling alone and I had no clue what to expect and was worried I'd be lonely and bored, but I wasn't at all from the mom…My TruTravels Bali trip was way better than I expected! It was my first time travelling alone and I had no clue what to expect and was worried I'd be lonely and bored, but I wasn't at all from the moment I got there! The group was great and the activities that were really cool and interesting, and we even did some things I'd never had thought of if I had gone independently, like the cooking class.
Shane was a really good guide, he was friendly to everyone and made sure people got involved and even answered all of my constant questions which I'm sure were getting annoying! He also helped us all sort out what we were doing once the tour had ended which was a huge relief.
We had the right amount of free time as well as doing activities so we could go and explore on our own or just sit by the pool if we wanted to. The accommodation was also way better than I expected, all the hotels were really nice and well located.
I would definitely recommend the TruTravels Bali tour especially if you are a first time traveller or travelling alone! I would do the 10 days again if I could!

The itinerary was different on the website from what we actually did, it is a 10 day tour, not 8. There was some confusion around that and what the finish date was.
The things we did were great, however, I would have liked information about the temples we visited and the rice terraces instead of just walking around not knowing what we were looking at.
Our tour guide was Shane, he was awesome and very helpful. He made us feel welcome and we all had a great time together. Just a real chill bro altogether.

We immediately felt comfortable and knew from that minute it on it was going to be a blast. They were wonderful tour guides. A perfect mixture of knowledge, fun and craziness. They were great at keeping everyone moving and together but also allowing a bunch of free time to explore. I can now call them both friends and can't thank them enough for making it one of the best trips of my life. They are definitely the reason I am looking at another TruTravels tour in 2017. Cheers!

We went on many trips such as surfing, roaming around temples, local food cooking classes, lunch by a volcano, rice terraces, visiting the monkey forest and the best for us was snorkelling in the Gili islands. Drew and Shane were the best tour reps that we could ever ask for!! When we first arrived into Bali our bags went missing so we were without our belongings for two days. Both the boys were absolute stars by offering clothing and getting in touch with the airport and airline for us. Wish we could have taken you both on our further travels. Relaxed atmosphere, great choices of activities and experiences, and in the short time they had to set up the first Bali tour, they had really done their homework and put the hours in to make it the best experience possible.

The itinerary is great, so varied and interesting. Chilled group meals in the evening watching the sunset on a sandy beach. Superb! And yet still plenty off free time to wander off and do your own thing if you want to.
And lastly, the accommodation. I was expecting dark and dingey hostel like rooms, and it couldn't have been further from that! Amazing value for money, I can't recommend it more :)

I have always dreamed to go traveling independently and never had the guts to actually do it. Trutravels have changed my life what a cool and exciting way to go traveling and meeting new people. Before this tour came to an end I was already investigating for other tours to book for my next vacation. Shane picked us up from the airport and made us feel at ease from the moment we met. Our flight was a little late coming in and the baggage took a while to come off but it was no problems for Shane he just waited for us. We arrived a little late for the welcome dinner so myself, my friend and Shane are separately upstairs whilst the others ordered drinks. Drew / Shane had organised everything from the transfers, cooking class, snorkelling, bike rides, ferry rides, temples, rice fields, etc and all I had to do was just attend. Who knew I could visit so much on Indonesia in only 10 days. The hotel accommodation was great and due to a mix up with rooms drew and Shane were able to help resolve the problem without any sweat. Drew was on hand for all the questions and advise needed throughout the whole tour. I really is a fantastic time here in Bali my highlights were the cooking class, the sunset in Gili T (with strawberry margaritas) & meeting all of my group... the only shortfall of booking another tour with trutravels is that Shane and Drew will not be hosting it. But rest ashore they advised that all the tru family is as cool as them.. xx

From surfing in Canggu, to the monkey forest, a cooking class and a visit to the rice terraces in Ubud, before finally finishing up on beautiful Gili T where we saw some incredible sunsets, came face to face with turtles, and enjoyed some great nights out; we did so much, and made so many memories with a bunch of new friends.
Ill definitely be coming out on tour with these guys again, and couldn't recommend this trip any higher!

Ewan and Shane were both so kind and friendly, and always made sure everyone was having a good time. They were very knowledgeable about everywhere we went and had the best recommendations on what to do apart from the activities outlined in the tour. They definitely made my trip unforgettable and I would highly recommend them. :)
