Had the best time with our guides Ella and Brookie, they were absolutely fantastic. All the places and things we did were all insightful and meaningful. The tour guides are what make Intro the successful tour it has been, it has little to do with location. Mine were the best I could hope for.
The planning was really good and the guides thought of more events that were not on the list. However there was no pressure to join anything, no worries if you did not drink and not a problem if partying was not for you.
My only advice would be for the tour to skip Bangkok completely or only spend one day. It felt a little like stalling and It was really boring. 1 day would have been fine. However, this may have just been my own, and some of the group's opinion.

Ella was THE BEST guide we could have asked for, from the moment she met us at the airport she made me feel at ease. Her enthusiasm and energy made each day better than the last. She was one of us. She fitted in with the group and made us feel like one big family. She was there to provide a hug when you needed one, provide answers to a million questions and provided the best dance moves for a dance off in the middle of a club (she also kept me standing when I’d had one too many)... This was a once in a lifetime experience and Ella made it the trip of a lifetime.

It was nice to not have to think or stress. All you have to do is show up and be. Ella was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable of the surroundings, have relationships with the different venues, which makes you feel comfortable and more secure. She knew her group. Even tweaked the tour to An amazing hike that everyone loved. As stated she knew her group! Kept track of everyone, made sure everyone was included. Even with eating dinner she never stayed in one spot and moved around the table engaging everyone. It’s an true art to what she does. She kept track of allergies and meal preferences. I don’t know how long you want this review to be but I can go on for paragraphs about Ella alone. She should teach tour guides. She has really set the bar high for my on going travels. This experience was breathtaking but she just made the impossible better. My only recommendations is for solo 35 and up travelers, like myself. My group was mostly under 24 years old. They were very engaging, we talked, partied, played fun games. They made me young but the age gap is real, esp with conversation. I participated in theirs, I’m outgoing but I could not really initiate much. Leaving lots of listens to what <25 year olds chat about. Just bring your best bud or ask in advance the ages in the group you want to join. Overall it was still a breathtaking experience. I still did make some Facebook friends with my young crew. Age gap is real.. plan accordingly!

It couldn't have been done any better honestly. Ella, who is currently in training, was just absolutely spot on for her first Thai Intro group leader experience. It's as if she has been doing this her whole life. There was no issue with her experience, even if there were some first time events. The itinerary is a nice balance of activities and food as well as rest and relaxation that are well timed in the trip. I would recommend anyone to do this Thai Intro tour with these two group leaders as soon as possible.

The Balintro tour I was on (beginning 3rd September 2017) was a phenomenal experience, of which I have very fond memories. I went with two friends, and from the airport pick-up to the final goodbye in Ubud I felt like I was getting my money's worth.
Central to this great time was Ella, our guide. It is evident she cares deeply about her job and about helping those on the tour to fully enjoy and immerse themselves in the culture and excitement of Bali. She was a fountain of youth and knowledge, and also took some great pictures of me, which was nice of her. She is an indubitable and faultless asset to your team.
The accommodation we stayed in ran the gamut from passable to excellent. The Frii Hotel in Canggu was excellent, which is probably why we only stayed there for one night! The views of the villa are absolutely unbeatable, and the Bendesa guesthouse in Kuta was well-situated and comfortable. The Irish bar on Gili T had potential but experienced a few missteps and misgoings; similarly, the Ubud hotel had a suspicious damp smell permeating the room (but the architecture and the food were top-notch).
The first four days of the tour felt very intense. Because there was so much to do and see, it felt as though we were being shepherded from one location to another, without the opportunity for five minutes' peace and some breathing space. This is understandable, considering there are only 24 hours in a day and many things with which to fill it. This rushed pace slowed down somewhat when we arrived at the villa, and the latter two-thirds of the tour were a welcome relief while still being entertaining and fulfilling.
The fact that some of the lunches and dinners were not included was a little disconcerting, especially in circumstances like the Gili Air snorkeling trip, where we had no control over where we would end up (although to be fair that restaurant was quite nice). This isn't a major factor in my review, however, since the majority of the food I ate was fine to amazing (like the spaghetti carbonara at Single Fin).
Overall this was a great use of my money and I would definitely consider doing another Intro Travel tour, both solo and with friends.

All of the accommodation was of a good standard and better than what I expected, their private villa is amazing. Most importantly our tour guide Ella was extremely welcoming and so much fun. She managed to keep all of us happy and lively. She went out of her way to help us in every way possible even once we had finished the tour. It was reassuring that everywhere we went bali intro had been frequently so knew the food/drink was nice and nothing dodgey, especially as you have to be careful with the water. Our experience was better than we ever imagined, and this was mainly because of Ella, we had no stress or worries. I would highly recommend this tour. I arrived home today and am already looking at other intro tours for next year.

Bali is a lovely place, so the Balintro trip is a great way to see most of it. You stay at really nice hotels, all with pools and airconditioned rooms.

Our group of 22 had a real mix of ages, nationalities and personalities which made it a good laugh, we all got on from day 1. Neither the accommodation nor the activities disappointed at any stage during the tour, my personal favourites were the private villa in Lovina and watching the sunset from the swings on Gili T. Our tour guide, Ella, made the trip. She was so enthusiastic and bubbly throughout, it wouldn't have been the same without her. She was always happy to help out with any problems we were having, from lost bank cards to where to go after the tour. An absolutely incredible 9 days, I couldn't recommend Balintro enough! #TEAMECUADOR

Looking back now, the Balintro tour was the best 2 weeks of my life, every day was spent discovering new fascinating places with a great group of people, of whom i have gained some very good friends who i will continue to keep in touch with. Bali is an amazing place, one i will certainly visit again - but what better way to discover it than joining Balintro who certainly have the knowledge and contacts to make it a very special experience. Doing the home visit with the family was unforgettable! That will always be with me. Meeting Sue and the tour he did around the forest was awsome! You get to cover so much ground with Bali Intro, I would recommended spending the little extra and stay with the group because it was sad to see the group drop in size. They all wanted to come and do it.
All and all this trip has enriched my soul. Safe secure flexible.

From day one we got on like a house on fire, all lead by group leader, Ella, who made everything as easy and smooth as possible. She truly has been an absolute star who has taken all of the stress out of travelling, somehow managing to control a rowdy group of 16. All of the accommodation throughout the trip has been to a very high standard and the excursions well worth taking part in. All in all, I would 100% recommended Balintro to anyone looking for an amazing 12 days away.

Ella made the best of every situation and I felt for her as these people just weren't interested in things she had to say. They were very ungrateful and just awkward people.

Literally from the beginning her confidence, experience, local knowledge and fab personality made the trip, although she was a leader, Ella also became a friend, yet kept her professional balance at all times, she would do the best she could in any situation and always ensured that everyone knew what was going on and what was expected at each place. She will certainly be missed!!!!
All the hotels were brilliant and had friendly staff. The tour in general with all the activities was definitely worth the money and I certainly will recommend the tour to others too!

The accommodations were great, so much better than I expecting for the money we paid, I was really surprised. All the transportation was well managed, never came across any issues and we always had some music going to keep the mood high. All the activities were really fun, it was such a great experience. Even though I can't swim I still felt involved and had such a fun time. Stand outs were the villa, visiting the family and Gilli T. I was worried about this as this is the first time away, but after this i will definitely be doing this again and it'll be hard to match this experience as it was better than I ever could've imagined.
An amazing tour, taking in all of the must do's while in Bali from temples to beaches to bars. Very well organised and an inspirational tour leader in Ella.

All the activities were brilliant, even when the weather was bad we still had a great laugh.
Overall, the trip was a lot better than I could have expected, met a few incredible people and had a great laugh.

I'm not all for beaches, but I do love a lazy day at the beach. But that's just why I loved the mixture, doing adventures things as well. And feeling safe and taken care of was something I really appreciated as well.

Our travel accommodations made everything easy and our living accommodations were way more than I was expecting. All in all this was a trip of a lifetime and I will never forget it!

The group size was a lot bigger compared to Thaintro and personally I think the tours are more enjoyable with a smaller group size as you get to know everyone better, however we did split into two groups in the day which meant we could get to know that group well. The activities were brilliant and meant I experienced some things I would not usually have done. I particularly enjoyed the Homestay as it was really nice meeting a Balinese family, and they were so accommodating in making vegetarian food. The guides were fantastic, a good mix of a leader but also a friend. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone looking into travelling Bali.

If like me you are new to travelling, the guides have pretty much everything taken care of for you and go out of their way to make sure you have the best time. I can't believe how much I have done over the past 12 days, I certainly wouldn't have been able to plan the same trip by myself...and in all honestly probably wouldn't have experinced the same things as I never would have booked on to surf, cycle round an island, or do a sunrise treck up a volcano - all absolutely amazing and had such a laugh with my group! Equally I am a massive foodie and wouldn't have been able to find the amazing tuna steak or caramel and pecan cheesecake I had in Canggu without my group leaders! One of the highlights for me was the 4 days spent on Gili T, the big group dinner's were a great chance to get to know new members of our tour group outside of the friendships we had already made on the first few days (we had a huge group)... I also loved my scuba diving experience and the fact our tour guide Adam was down there taking pictures of the whole thing means I can share the experience with my friends and family too. Our tour guides were amazing and really brought the trip to life, they made the effort to get to know everyone on a personal level so that we could all take away what we wanted from the trip. If you are thinking of booking on to Balintro do it, you won't regret it and will come away with amazing new friends and memories.

It was an AMAZING trip! We saw so many things from Bali! I had a great time when we go surfing, we saw the Dolphins at Lovina, and the accomodation in Lovina was so beautiful!! The excursions were super organized and varied, whether boat tours, snorkelling or temple visits - everything was relaxed and exciting at the same time.
But what really made the trip special was the great group and the fantastic guides, who always ensured a good atmosphere.

First things first Elle is my most favorite person in the world!
So Ima go over all the days and how amazing it was!
When we arrived she was so wonderful and welcoming, she made sure we got out of the airport okay and to the hotel safety. She made sure to include everyone in conversation. Then when we went out to dinner she always recommended food choices and made sure everyone was having fun and kept moving around the table to talk to everyone!
The next day she broke down the tour and made it even more exciting because she has such passion when she spoke she pumped up the whole group! Even thought it was pouring cats and dogs she still made the temple fun, she was informative and made sure we understood everything, she always answered questions with a smile, though we didn't do the sunset dinner since the weather was bad she made sure we still had a great time.
I'm favorite phrase she used was "it should be 45 mins depending on traffic" and "just be yourselves"
That night we went out clubbing that was my first time clubbing ever, I danced on a table and had so much fun dancing!
The next few days were just lovely! I really enjoyed the rice patties!
But by far favorite thing was chasing dolphins we got so close we could almost touch them! She always included me and made me laugh and smile. I'm American so she taught me all about being English and the slang, I wasn't aware that you're suppose to drink tea with milk!
The villa she took care of me when I got to wasted and made sure I was put to bed! Everywhere we stayed she had a good choice on what to eat and what to do! She was just the best tour guide.
I love Bali, but the only reason I'd come back is for her!
She convinced me to go scuba diving and that was the best decision of my life! I saw a manteray and sea turtles and nemo! She took me shopping in the market in Ubad and helped me negotiate prices since I'm so bad!
I got a dolphin tattoo, she's gonna get one as well in 2weeks so that's something special to my heart to remember the trip!
It breaks my heart to leave here!
Seriously though this has been the best time of my life! I love this tour but I love ELLE!
