The trip met all of my expectations as far as accommodation and transport which were all of great standard and very comfortable. My group leader was very knowledgeable and clearly showed a passion for travel and showing people a great time while experiencing a country to its fullest. The contrast from the first half of the trip being adventurous and off the beaten path while travelling throughout the central area of the country, to the beautiful palm tree beaches and true relaxing holiday vibes of the second half truly made for my ideal holiday away.
Intro Travel was very helpful virtually about all of my pre trip inquiries and my group leader always went above and beyond for all group members throughout the trip. This truly was a fantastic experience

Intro travel is the best way to show up to a country you know absolutely nothing about and have done little to no travel research on, to then leave 2 weeks later having hit all the epic hot spots and truly experienced a bit of the local culture, food and fantastic activities.
The itinerary is well planned and makes the most of experiencing everything while still having lots of time to chill and relax and enjoy the holiday vibes.
Our group leader Dave was a barrel of laughs and impressive with his knowledge of Sri Lankan culture and even speaking the local language. Dave is an absolute asset to the intro team, I’ve done my fair share of group tours and he has clearly got the gig down pat.
The trip was incredible and Sri Lanka surely made it quite high on my list of top destinations I’ve visited out of the 46 and counting!

These guys never cease to impress! This is my 3rd time travelling with intro and It’s a tough decision but I’d have to say personally this was my favourite intro trip so far.
The accommodation was incredible from glamping tents to our hippy styled eco retreat it was epic stays the whole way.
My leader Dave had horrible dad jokes but that aside absolute legend. Clearly best mates with all the local legends along the way including our main man Prasad.
Having Prasad the local Sri Lankan guide around was an experience you just can’t beat. Him and Dave clearly get on well and their passion for travel and showing everyone the absolute best of Sri Lanka made for a non stop good time.
Surf lesson was ace! The instructors were your picture perfect surf dudes nice and helpful as they come. Favourite day of the tour for me no doubt.
As always, thanks for the epic time intro I’ll be back again and maybe again after that.

The trip was just amazing and I can’t describe the amount of respect and appreciation I have for intro travel as a company! Everything from the help with my bookings from their office to the support on the ground during the trip I was very impressed

The small group size makes a mas…This is probably the best tour company I've used. The organisation and itinerary is so slick, well established and tried & tested, yet it retains such a personal feel. The small group size makes a massive difference. I've only ever been on tours with groups of around 18 or above so I was quite apprehensive about only being in a group of 8. It actually ended up being so much better as we did everything together and no inner groups or 'cliques' emerged. I think the less restricted age group is better too as its way more interesting (and more lively actually) to be with people at completely different stages of their life, rather than everyone being straight out of school or uni. Having the same bus and bus driver for the whole trip also made the whole thing super comfortable and friendly. Dave, our group leader, was faultless. He had the balance of professionalism and being a great friend to all of us down to a T. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about the country, and it's infectious. The pace of the trip was perfect, the activities were varied and the trip is super good value for money. Couldn't recommend it enough.

He took care of everyone’s needs and even helped organise their onward plans whether it was airport transfers or advice on your next destination. Have already booked onto the Sri Lanka trip next year. Can’t wait.

The itinerary was really great and lots of things were included in the overall price. A highlight for me was getting up to watch the sunrise at Angkor Wat temple in Cambodia; it was a once in a lifetime experience. The accommodation was all really good with lots of included meals which were all of a high standard. Would definitely recommend intro travel and would travel with them again in future!

Spending time with the Buddhist monks was a massive highlight and one (of many) that made the trip truly unforgettable. Other highlights include climbing Pidurangala Rock, the sunrise safari and the amazing Sri Lankan food throughout. Massive shout out to Dave, our tour leader, his endless energy and support throughout the trip was massively appreciated and made the tour the best it could possibly be. So much love for Dave, Tom and the best group I could have asked for!

This trip gives you the chance to experience everything that Sri Lanka has to offer, from surfing along the magnificent coastline to seeing wild elephants on safari. The accomodation was very comfortable (there was wifi everywhere we stayed!) and our main mode of transport was by private bus, which made getting from place to place far less stressful. My tour guide, Dave, was exceptional. Not only was he fun and charismatic, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the country. If it weren't for him and his leader-in-training, Ro, I feel like the trip would not have run as smoothly as it did, and definitely would not have been as enjoyable. They're two of the best people you'll ever meet. Finally, this trip gives you the chance to meet so many different people from all over the world, some of which you'll probably end up becoming life long friends with. Sri Lanka in itself is an incredible country, but touring with Intro made it even better. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough, so what are you waiting for, book your tickets!

Good mix of included activities and free time to explore the local areas or relax in the hotel pools. Definitely one of, if not the best group holidays I have done. Intro travel was recommended by a friend and I'll definetly be travelling with them again. 10/10!!

Dave, our leader, was a bunch of fun, always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help! He really went the extra mile to be an outstanding tour leader.
Tom, intro travel’s Photographer was brilliant too! He was a great laugh and helped us get the perfect insta pics.
Overall, the tour exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to do another tour with Intro Travel! Thanks all!

I read up on Sri Lanka before I came and this tour did everything I wanted to do and more. I am staying for two weeks after and Dave was really helpful with helping me plan what to do. Tom was our photographer and he was a great laugh and got some amazing pictures of the group. Introtravel are a great company that aim to give you a great experience and support local communities. I would highly recommend.

WOW! Have just finished the most amazing tour of Sri Lanka with Intro Travel. When you put together such an amazing and diverse country, a perfect itinerary, a fantastic group and an absolutely awesom…WOW! When you put together such an amazing and diverse country, a perfect itinerary, a fantastic group and an absolutely awesome group leader (Dave, Intro Travel) it was always going to be an incredible experience - but this trip exceeded all my expectations and was probably the best travel experience I have ever had. I would honestly recommend Sri Lanka Experience to anyone. There is so much included and we saw so much I would not have seen had I travelled on my own. My highlights were the Buddhist Monastery visit and the surfing lesson. It was my birthday while I was on the trip too and Dave went above and beyond to make it a really special occasion so an extra big thank you to him and Intro for that. I made friends for life and I can’t wait for my next Intro trip. So much love x

Our tour leader David Toole was like a cherry on top. The trip wouldn't have been as nearly as awesome as it was if it wasn't for him. He made sure everyone was involved, was having a great time. and always answered any questions or helped with any problems you would have. Definitely going through Introtravel for future travel plans!

Safari was one of the best experiences, and visiting the buddist monestry was very unique. Dave did everything he could to ensure everyone in the group had an amazing time, and was a very knowledgeable and helpful tour leader, couldn't fault!

Good balance between activities and free time. The activities that Intro Travel hosted were another level, my highlight was the safari which was defiantly a bucket list moment for me! Surfing was so much fun also! Each and everyday we experienced the most amazing excursions! I felt in the 12 days that I had ticked all boxes that I wanted throughout Sri Lanka!
The accommodation truly blew me away, the most fabulous places were chosen by intro travel, I was so impressed the quality was 10/10!

Lifetime experience! Thanks to our guides - Dave, Mark and Prasad and their knowledge/experience we experienced absolutely the best of the local lifes, meditating with monks, visiting tea gardens, chasing waterfalls, went for a safari trip, learned to surf, visited temples and had the best time with newly met people! It all absolutely exceeded my expectations! Great value for money, no question!

Accommodation, meals and a healthy amount of downtime throughout the trip were also excellent when compared to other group travel companies. I had an absolutely phenomenal time and this can be largely attributed to our group leader Dave. He was enthusiastic, considerate of everyone at all times, well-organised and provided quality banter with plenty of laughter throughout our trip, making him a valuable asset to the Intro Travel tour experience. There was a great range of activities combining culture, yummy food, amazing sights, and fun adventures throughout the trip. A few of my favourites were visiting a local family, watching dolphins swim and jump right beside your boat, the cooking class and watching the sunset whilst in Gili T. All in all I would definitely recommend Bali Experience to everyone as I've had the best 12 days in Bali/Indonesia I could have asked for, made some great friends and having Dave as our guide really made it that much more fun with the constant, solid banter

I knew I would love this holiday, but I didn’t realise how special this trip was going to be. The itinerary was perfect, beautiful places to visit and breath taking experiences. Our group leader was dave. Dave, every minute of every day entertained us constantly making sure we were safe, well fed and happy. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met, who genuinely cares. He puts time into each individual and helps people to any extent. Put it this way, when I said goodbye to him and the rest of the group I could not stop crying. Between the trip and meeting Dave this has made me want to leave my 9-5 working job at home and just travel care free, booking every single intro trip possible! I really can not recommend Bali intro enough to anyone. Dave is a massive credit to intro travel and someone who is very special as a person and what he does.

I was arriving a day early and they were able to set up a nights stay in the hotel which we were staying at, at the beginning of the trip. This was a great help as I was traveling alone. On arrival at the airport, Dave from intro travel my tour guide was waiting there, as soon as I met Dave he made me feel comfortable and relaxed as I was slightly worried about traveling alone, he talked me through what we were going to do, gave me knowledge about the surroundings. Dave was a fantastic guide and made the trip brilliant, there was never a quite moment and he always had something to say and kept the group going. Dave was a fantastic help and always went the extra mile. They trip was well organised and we never had to worry or stress we literally just had to turn up on time. Dave gave us the information that we needed and every time we had a question about the area, surroundings or culture he was able to provide us with an answer. The hotels we stayed in were fancastic they were all at a high standard. The trip has something for everyone, beaches, pools, temples, waterfalls, drinking, partying, snorkeling, rice paddies. The restaurants that we ate in were lovely, it was nice having someone who was able to give his recommendations which were different at each restaurant. Dave was a fancastic group leader and is an asset to the company with his knowledge, personality and overall positive attitude. Thank you for making me feel so settle and making it easy for the group to become so close and have none stop laughs for the whole 12 days.

Gili is quite the experience! Lots of fun, but 3 days is the perfect amount of time to spend there. The fastboat to the island is tough, brings lots of water to drink!
I could have skipped most of Ubud and the volcano trek. I would have flaky exchanged that time for extra time in Lovina!
Honestly though, this tour wouldn't have been the same without Dave Toole! He works to include everyone. He never sits during meals because he is waking sound the table taking to everybody about their day! He helped us bond all together and it was really special! He's truly world class!

I made a close group of friends on the trip (already planning holidays together) and the centre point who held it all together was definitely our tour guide Dave! Dave made everything run so smoothly and I felt very comfortable with the fact that if I needed anything he would help me. Dave had the answer to pretty much anything I asked him and I would ask for him again if I were to redo this trip! I'd 100% recommend Bali Inteonfor anyone thinking about travelling round Bali. It is the perfect way to ease yourself into the culture here andDave was more than happy to help with further travel plans or booking hotels. I have absolutely loved the trip and it has by far been one of the best holidays I have ever been on - Dave definitely contributed to this! All the activities were more than expected and there wasn't one I wouldn't do again. The best part of the entire trip, that was a head and shoulders above the rest, was our leader Dave. He's extremely knowledgeable, speaks a great amount of Balinese and is overall a wicked guy and a great leader. He knew exactly what was going on at all times and if I ever felt uneasy about an activity or anything he was always right there giving moral support and encouragement. Intro travel have just released Bali experience so I have heard. I am already thinking about doing it and seeing the premium side of Bali. I just hope I end up with Dave as my leader once again! Also just put a deposit on Vietnam intro as this is something I will definitely be doing in the near future. Think this shows how much I enjoyed my trip!!

You can tell that he has passion for travel and the Bali culture. I will most definitely be booking my next trip with intro travel.

My favorite part of the trip was when we went snorkeling on Gill T and saw all the turtles and fishes. Dave was so friendly and guided us really well with all the restaurants/bars and extra activitiy decisions. More than anything, Dave really knows how to bring the group together and helped us to have such a good time. Although he was our tour guide, by the end of the trip he felt like a friend.

With regards to activities and what's included, there is no other tour in Bali that comes close, and it's special stay and village visit are an awesome addition for someone looking to get off the beaten track and experience true Balinese culture and lifestyle. Basically Intro travel package together the best activities with the best guides and it's impossible not to have a good time. Everything was so well organised from start to finish, there was a good amount of organised time and free time, and the nights out were some of the most fun I've ever had. Our tour guide Dave made everything super easy the whole way through, and is loved by all the locals which was lovely to see! It's a perfect stepping stone to help plan more travel afterwards, be that in Bali or one of the other Intro Travel tours in Vietnam , Thailand or Australia. Every experiences is made so much better by having the best available due to the relationships Intro Travel have clearly spent time developing with the local people and companies.
Of course this trip wouldn't have been what it was if it weren't for the people I've traveled with.
But the most important and crucial part of making this trip was our trip leader; Dave Toole. Dave's clear passion for travel and of this unique part of the world, as well as his positive and friendly approach made everyday incredible. Luckily meeting our tour guide Dave at the airport instantly made me feel at home and welcomed, in the first 10 minutes of meeting him I knew we were in good hands. Travelling from Canada I was anxious and overwhelmed with such a busy day to day itinerary, by the first night Dave made sure everything ran smoothly and each person was comfortable. Our group was already clicking by the first night and by the second night we had become best friends. Each day Dave prepared us for what was to come and kept us all having fun but feeling safe.
I never thought I would be able to do the things required each day, dolphin watching, snorkelling, paddle boarding in the ocean, climbing a volcano, basket weaving and meeting a local family. Dave was the perfect mix between a part of the group for us all to have fun with and a responsible leader who made sure we all felt safe and comfortable.
The trip was a blast and each location we visited Dave was able to share all his knowledge as well as answering any questions we may have had.
The activities and excursions included on the trip were fabulous and with Dave's encouragement I faced my fears and tried the scuba diving when we were in Gili T. The scuba diving was so worth it and I enjoyed it the entire time.
I will be highly recommending this trip to all of my friends and family who are interested in travelling!

What made this experience so unique was for certain, our tour leader, David Toole. He had an amazing approach to making sure the vibe was consistently upbeat and happy.. Bouncing about with enthusiasm for the entire 12 days.. And yet, he was the most understanding and encouraging guide.. An absolute asset to the intro group.
My personal favourites were the surfing and the dolphin experiences.. Both of which I was initially hesitant about because I'm not a strong swimmer! Dave was so encouraging and completely settled my nerves, which made me push myself beyond my comfort zone and have the most amazing time! I am so grateful for that alone!
We have already put the deposit down on the Thaintro and Vietnamintro tours through Dave, purely in the hope that our next guides will be even half as amazing as he has been!

The activities and locations included are unique to going on a tour with Balintro, particularly the private villa in Lovina. We were lucky enough to have Dave as our tour leader and in all honesty, he definitely made the trip the amazing experience it was! He is supportive, professional, trustworthy and responsible but still knows how to have fun and engage with the group at all times whilst providing us with lots of practical and cultural information. He is a true asset to Balintro and by far the best tour leader I have ever encountered in my many years of travelling.

We did so much in so little time and saw some incredible things - highlights for me were dolphin watching, scuba diving (optional), and snorkelling off the Gili's. The accommodation was lovely, the food was amazing (very important!), and Dave, our guide, was brilliant - so enthusiastic that he could share his knowledge of the island with us, and he made every activity feel like an adventure. The only other activity that I think would be good would be a cooking class on one of the days. The villa was incredible and Su was a real dad to the group. A campfire on the beach would also be great (weather permitting)! Accomodation has been exceptional, except Kuta, would have preferred a room with a window or with fresh air access. Our guide has been friendly, kind and helpful! He's done a wonderful job!

This highlights of the trip, first off was our tour guide Dave! He was an awesome guide, easy going, and approachable. He made the group feel as though we were not pressured to do anything we didn't want to do or make us feel like we needed to be babysat the whole time. His knowledge of the tours expedition points were very insightful which helped us learn the Indonesia culture. He came out with us to have a good time and was super chill! And secondly, the highlight of my balintro trip would be the volcano trek in Ubud. Best experience with new friends and such a breathtaking view! Overall this intro trip was worth it! Finding compliant food if you have dietary requirements can be quite tricky at times though, if you are allergic to certain food groups try to bring as many snacks etc from home. Overall would highly recommend!

The tour took me to all the places I was hoping to see and more, the highlight was definitely being in the water with about 100 dolphins! All of the accommodation was nice, as were all of the staff. The food has been awesome the whole way through and the intro villa is INCREDIBLE, the chef Su was also incredible! My group leader was Dave and he's a dude. Even before the tour started he was easy to get hold of, approachable and helpful. There was no pressure to do anything we didn't want to but you can't help wanting to try everything with Dave's enthusiasm. I came on my own and he made everything easy, answered all of my millions of questions, helped me conquer my many fears and has helped me with my onward travel which I'm now really excited about, despite me being the most disorganised person on the planet! I always felt safe and secure under Dave's supervision and he answered every question we had to ask. The temple visits were nice, although we walked through them very quickly. The beaches we visited were serene and relaxing. After a long day of travelling from Canggu to Lovina we were delightfully surprised with the amazing Balintro villa, absolutely stunning. Had amazing food cooked for us at the villa and the following day at the homestay, where we also learned how to weave a bamboo basket and walked around the plantation learning about all the fruits and veggies they grow there. Loved seeing this part of Bali, as I think most tourists miss seeing this beautiful side of Indonesian culture. Finishing in Gili T was a great end to the trip as I was on the 9 day tour, but absolutely couldn't have asked for a better group leader.

The value for money for what we were given was amazing in regard to accommodation, activities and meals that were included. The accommodation itself was very nice, especially the villa which was incredible! And our guide, Dave, was amazing and made the whole trip far more enjoyable as he successfully brought us together as a group and made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and having fun on the tour. We had a good balance between being busy with activities and free time to chill and do whatever we wanted. Some of my favorite memories were dancing on tables in Kuta, local home stay learning basket making and eating the best Indonesian food ever, surfing in Kuta, boat trip to see Dolphins, accommodation in Canggu and Lovina and snorkelling and partying on gili islands. After the trip Dave was really helpful and sorted everyone out with what they were doing after the trip which made booking anything stress free. Only thing I'd say is that touristy parts of Bali are quite a lot more expensive than you might expect so if you're in a budget you'll need to be mindful of this! I'd really reccomend this trip to solo travelers like myself who'd like to explore Bali and meet lots of interesting people from all over the world!

He is very approachable and feel very comfortable telling him any issues I have. The transport for the trip was good and air in the vans helped. They all arrived on time and felt safe. The accommodation was not great for the trip. The first few days in kuta the air con broke and had to pack up and change rooms. The air con also broke on the gili island and did not get fixed for 2 days. We requested double rooms and was told that was fine but did not have double rooms. Some people had to sleep on mattresses on the floor which I think is rediculous as we have paid to have a bed. Other than those issues the whole trip was amazing.

Overall it was a very enjoyable trip and I would more than happily do it again and recommend it to anyone.

What really made this trip though was the guide. If the rest of them are half as good as Dave Toole, then you'll have a great time on this trip.
He was professional, had an extensive knowledge of not just the trip but the whole area, and super organised. But more than this, he was a genuinely great guy who made it so much fun but Someone you could count on at any moment.

Dave was a great leader; very welcoming and informative; a clear leader. That said I thought Dave integrated in to the group so well that he did not come across as a 'typical' leader (just telling us what to do), he got involved with the bants whilst ensuring everyone still knew what was going on, all the tickets for the places we went were sorted etc. On nights out he was also regularly checking everyone was okay and helped out were needed. Overall 9/10
The itinerary was incredible! Would gladly pay more than the amount that you guys charge for what you get out of the tour.

He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to help every single person with future plans - from booking taxis and hotels to restaurant recommendations to seeing the best tourist attractions. Without Dave, I honestly don't think I would be able to travel Indonesia on my own.
Everyday, Dave gave a general overview of what we were going to do during the day, giving advice on what to wear and what to bring or not bring. This helped me plan accordingly and feel less anxious and nervous about the day. As the tour ends, he let everyone know that we can message him any time about traveling advice and he will help us to the best of his abilities. I can speak for all 19 of us that Dave truly was the best tour guide ever.
Lastly, although it may not be applicable, this will be Dave's third Christmas away from home. Winning this would not only mean the world to him, but mean the world to his family whom he could go visit and my entire tour group would be so happy for him. He truly deserves it.

Cambodia is a really impressive and beautiful country and the tour was a well-balanced mix of culture, history, leisure and fun. Dave was the best guide I've ever had; very caring for the well-being of all of as and at the same time fun but professional.
One more thing I would like to mention is that recommended age is 18-39, but it should be really adjusted to 18-30, or even 18-25. I am 33 and felt pretty old next to the British youngsters, even though they were mostly lovely people. The second oldest person was 29, the others were 18-19, and a couple of 23-24 years old. Also, expect 70-90% or co-travellers to be British, which is a great way to practice your English if you're not a native.
In my group I was the only non-native English speaker but most of the guys were nice and friendly towards me :)
All in all: I enjoyed the trip and totally recommend it.

Of course our tour guide Dave was brilliant, really helpful, friendly and cheerful, couldn't fault his enthusiasm!
We had an amazing group of people which made the trip even better
I would totally recommend this to anyone, it was full of fun, laughs and once in a lifetime experiences
Do the 12 day for sure though!
