It would have been impossible to see so many beautiful aspects and sights of Sri Lanka without our guide. Sometimes time is a little tight and it is sometimes exhausting, but of course there is no other way in two weeks.
Some of the activities included in the package are very touristy and there are some additional costs during the trip. However, as our guide repeated several times, you are not forced to buy anything.
Many people in Sri Lanka live from tourism.
We would like to thank Janaka again for this wonderful vacation and the great memories.

The tour was fantastic and in a short space of time gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves into the diversity of Sri Lanka. Our guide Nimantha was fantastic, on the first day he asked us lots of…The tour was fantastic and in a short space of time gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves into the diversity of Sri Lanka. Our guide Nimantha was fantastic, on the first day he asked us lots of questions to tailor the tour to us personally, which he did superbly. We throughly enjoyed the little extras, like sharing a king coconut at the side of the road, exploring supermarkets and road side stalls, enjoying lunch in a local restaurants, tasting buffalo curd from a little stall and an afternoon at the cricket in Galle.
The tour is fast pace, as there is lots to see and experience, however, we were always in control of our time and could opt out of activities if we wished. Highlights included bathing the elephants, the village tour, climbing Sigiriya Rock, the slow train to Ella, seeing leopards and elephants on the wildlife safari and having time to meet and interact with the local Sri Lankan people.
Our accommodation was outstanding, every hotel took the time to welcome us as a valued guest, rooms were always very clean and well appointed and the food was superb.
We wish to thank BH Lanka Tours and Nimantha for making this an experience to remember.

Dana our guide and driver was an integral part of our experience and adventure. He provided us with the perfect blend of professionalism with his own sense of humour and personal anecdotes.
The whole trip was wonderful, but Dana personally took it upon himself to elevate our experience to the next level. Thank you!

Dana, our driver/guide was a fountain of information and knowledge with a very sweet and caring character that helped make our travels special.

I wanted to support a Sri Lanka based travel business for our Sri Lanka holiday as I believed they would have the best local knowledge and connections to offer us the best possible experience. After looking at many providers and reading allot of reviews I decided on BH Lanka Tours. Things started of fantastically but embittered quickly after payment was made.
Below I have summarized my main issues with BH Lanka Tours
• Hotels marked as 5 star on tour but was actually not
• Incorrect billing several times.
• Unreachable during tour, not answering calls, replying to WhatsApp messages hours later.
• Reckless driving.
• Tour guide such a heavy accent that we could not understand him half of the time.
• No PPE, sanitizer or water offered
• Not a tour but a taxi driver from one tourist trap to the next.
• After 4 days of of our 14 day tour we canceled our tour. When I asked to be refunded for the remainder of the trip we were told that hotels have already been paid and we will not be able to get back the money. I contacted all the hotels and they all confirmed that they never received payment from BH Lanka.
• Received a refund letter that stated that they will pay us back 500 euro (my calculation for the refund is 2500 euro), I asked for a breakdown of this but still have not received this.
• Money that was to be paid back was never sent.

He made the trip special with good tips and stories, good knowledge on the different places and historical/cultural sites, his friendly and polite personality and always a smile on the lips. If you book a tour, ask for Dana. :)
Overall, the tour is well composed of cultural and historical visits, bit of trekking and nice nature and landscape experiences, wildlife watching and beach time. Really nice adventures, but also relaxing. For us the biggest adventure was the wildlife part as we saw elephants, crocodiles, many birds, water buffalos, dears and antelopes, fin whales and blue whales and even a leopard in the tree. :) Other specials are the various temples, nature wonders, village visits and the train ride. We learned how to cook a good curry and how cinnamon and tea is made. For relaxing you get a bit of beach time. All the time Dana was perfectly taking care that we felt good.
We had the opportunity to do all the activities of the tour and even more than that. Car was always clean and we felt well and save during all the trip. Hotels were overall nice and honestly, its much value for the money!!

Our driver, Dana, was incredibly accommodating and attentive to our needs. He was flexible with our itinerary (slightly later starts requested to get some morning exercise in!) and was so helpful. The small things such as buying us some homemade Kurd and having it delivered to our door really was very kind and appreciated. The tour was packed full of activities, every stop was different and showed us another part of Sri Lanka’s history and culture. Overall it has been an unforgettable trip, thank you for making it so special!

The manager, Hasitha, was great also, he came to pick us up from the airport, and stayed with us in the first few days.

He was very friendly and punctual. Sometimes the planed activities didnt work out because of corona. But he always found an alternative to go to. He always took care of our wishes.

A few of the accommodations were a bit less nice than the others, but the bar was set really high from the start and all the locations were really nice and special, specially on the last 2 nights. The food in the hotels was also quite nice, but expect a lot of curries :).
Would really recommend this tour and BH in general. Can’t say enough good things about our guide Dananjaya, he really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and he kept the transportation in an excellent state even after heavy rain and muddy excursions.

Throughout the tour Dana, our guide, made sure we have the best experiences possible. Travelling with him gave us the chance to connect with locals and to experience Sri Lanka in a very authentic way this would not have been possible without him. We had a really great time!

The tour went quickly because it was full of activities.
Had an amazing holiday with BH tours, it turned out to be a private tours but that really did not matter. My guide could not do enough for me, and was very knowledgeable on Sri Lanka.

I had the benefit of being on a solo tour, with nobody else having chosen this tour on my dates. My guide, Dana, was fantastic - nothing was too hard, he was happy to alter the itinerary or activities to suit me and just went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and comfortable. The hotels chosen were fantastic - all incredibly clean and comfortable. Staff at all hotels exceeded all of my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone. I travelled as a solo female and felt absolutely safe and secure at all times.

Please do NOT book this tour or any other tours with BH Tours. The itinerary is good and bianca, she is the manager, is very helpfully and friendly. I can't say something about this. I can't say something about this. But our tourguide was really horrible because he can't speak english! During the whole tour we didn't know where we are, what we will do or whats happened because we didn't understand him and he didn't understand us. So you can see a lot ot things and nature about sri lanka but you don't know what you will see. Also it is really bad and scary when he will stop the car in the night in the middle of nowhere and you don't know where you are. I think, he tried his best but it was very bad. The accommodation and the meals in the 5 star hotels were really good and beautiful. But we had also very very bad and dirty hotels and rooms where you can't feel comfortable. This are some reasons to say that the tour is far too expensive for what you get! So it doesn't matter if the itinerary or the hotels are good when we tourguide can't explain and show something to you. It is not like an real tour where you will have a good time together it is only more like a transportation from A to B.
