About me:Mingalarbar! (Hello in Burmese) :) I am A Kay @ Lwin Lwin Mar, English and German speaking Burmese tour leader who is now working for G Adventures by leading the tours in South East Asia with almost 7 years experience in tourism industry. My mother was from Shan tribe and my father was from Burmese tribe from Burma (Myanmar). I used to work for some companies like Exotissimo, Tauk, Tui, Overseas Adventures travel, Wendy Wu and so on from 2012 to 2015. Then, I became full time CEO (tour leader) with G Adventures travelers and tour company. I am the one who loves traveling, meeting different people from different places with different cultures and customs. I do love my job as this is also my hobby. On top of that, I really love explaining the people about history, culture and custom of my country or the countries we go and visit.

We had a couple of days of not so great weather, and AK offered entertainment and activity options: she is the BEST.

Me and my friend was AK's first travellers. She was the cutest, warmest and most caring guide we couldve hoped for. She helped us with what ever we needed. Always awailable.

She provided lots of knowledge about Vietnam, the culture, history and knew lots of good food places to go to. A Kay has such a positive spirit, she was well organised and made sure the trip ran smoothly. We had so many laughs with our CEO A Kay, she is a ray of sunshine and I will definitley miss seeing her everyday. She took the time to get to know all her travelers which makes the travellers feel special. She is a sister for life and I hope I will get to see her in the future. G adventures is very lucky to have such a talented and beautiful person in their team.

She taught us about her country, culture, people, food and history. Her love for her country was evident and caused all of us to love it, too. She is an excellent tour guide who worked hard throughout the trip to make each day even better than the day before.

A Kay takes the time to get to know her travelers and made sure that everyone had a fantastic tour. She is the nicest person and my favorite tour guide of all time. I know there are many other travelers who share my opinion based on the feedback I see on social media. If given the opportunity I would make sure she is your guide if you travel to one of the destinations that she is the CEO.

My first time traveling and she made me feel safe at all times and was so very helpful with all my questions and she even gave us some rehydration powder on a really hot day and reminds us to put sun cream on. She made my experience with G adventures better then I can imagine and because of her I will choose G adventure tours again and I will hope to be with AK. She is really kind and caring and very funny with fantastic English. She is a very hardworking tour guide.

AK was always willing to help with any issues that came up and was always available for us to get a hold of. If there was another star I could add I would. Laos and Burma were my favorite countries. There were so many unforgettable moments like: the two day trip on the Mekong River, the lantern festival in Chiang Mai, and my favorite was the random festival that was happening during our first stop in Burma. If I could do it all over again, I would.

The agriturismo owners were so gracious, the food was delicious, the views were spectacular, and the rooms were charming. The tour guide had some challenges with the weather, but worked hard to make sure we had options of fun things to do. This was my retirement celebration trip and it didn’t disappoint.

I think he had never been to the places we were going and knew nothing of the “tour” and all the the things that went with it. We had to do the planning, airplane reservations for all but one flight built into the tour, and what to do when n Cape Town two days prior to the tour leaving. Even though G Adventures wants to give back to the local economy, the “bike ride” through Soweto should be scrapped - not enough bikes, most bikes did not work, and we missed Nelson Mandela’s and Desmond Tutu’s houses. The memorial at the school was magnificent. The buses we toured with had 350,000 km’s plus and hadn’t changed springs or shocks, very slow bumpy ride! Even though we had these negative factors, the guides were very knowledgeable and the places we stayed were great! Kruger Park safari’s and the three safari’s in Zimbabwe were fantastic. The stay in Victoria Falls was also fantastic.
