The tour was excellent, with excellent planning and support. I would highly recommend it to anybody fortunate to visit Uzbekistan. Steppe Journey was incredibly helpful in adapting the itinerary to our needs, always with a quick response. This was especially impressive given the short timeframe in planning the trip, from the time that we first contacted the agency. All the tour guides and drivers were excellent and went beyond the call of service. This included spending time to answer our questions and to adjust the tour as necessary. Their suggestions on places to visit was excellent. The restaurants were all quite good and reasonably priced-- with many locals and few tourists. The Tashkent-based agent was in constant communication with us and highly responsive to our requests. Any logistical issues (and these were minor!) were quickly and efficiently resolved. In short, I would highly recommend the tour and the agency.

All of the arrangements made by Global Connect worked 100%. Airports transfer, trains, tours - all perfectly. The 3 guides provided in the 3 city were excellent and very knowledgeable. Our 5 day trip was very busy but perfect for us due to time constraints. Having more time in Bukhara and Samarkand is recommended.

The guide (Sherali) and porter (Nooric) were great .. I’d rate them 4 and 5 respectively.. we did however have a bad experience with the Tour Radar/ Responsible Travel platform. We should have been informed immediately that the original guide had a medical episode outside our hotel and is still in hospital.. this only came out later.. but the failure to do so and the vague messaging we did receive made the arrangements look amateurish and offering no accountability.. a lot of hassle for all concerned could have been avoided by accurate and timely advice. I’d rate the platform experience at zero for this reason
