We had a beautiful experience visiting all the breathtaking places! Peru really is a magical place! All the guides were very kind and friendly. The only improvement I would suggest is to stay at places close to the attractions instead of having to drive many hours back to Cusco every night. That also would have helped to have more time at each site as it sometimes felt too short a visit. Besides the long drives, I highly recommend this trip to see some of the best sites in Peru.

This was an excellent day-hike to a scenic lake about 3 hours from Cusco and provided a good warmup hike in preparation for the Inca Trail. Our English-speaking guide (David) was very supportive of the hikers in our group and provided ample time at the lake for photos, exploration (i.e. up on the ridge above Humantay Lake), snacking, and conversation. Everything about this tour was top-notch and deserves to be on your itinerary when visiting Cusco!

Since my friend and I did the 4 (instead of 5) day Salkantay trek, Junior was our second guide as off the 3rd day. He picked us up on time from the meeting point and brought our luggage to our room. Our next day and last day, was THE big and exciting visit to Machu Pichu. Junior accompanied us by bus in the mornig and gave us the historic background on top the sit. He told us where to go, handed over the return bus and train tickets and then left us at 10 o'clock to roam around on our own. We were very surprised and even more disappointed since he didn't accompany on the Machu Picchu site....after all it was the epidamy of our whole visit to Peru ! We even feel cheated, since we paid dearly for a 4 day trek and the last one was just a farce. For all that matters, he also could have talked about the history in the restaurant the night before and just given us us the bus tickets. We're still quite upset about this. All the more since we couldn't help notice that most people had all the explications on the site, wile enjoying a fully guided tour.....meanwhile, we were just wandering around.... BUT, our first guide, Niko, was absolutely great. 5 stars for his excellent care and attention. He even got in touch after in order to ask us about our MP visit. He was surprised also and assured us that he ALWAYS accompanies his groups. Such a shame we didn't have him for our last day !
