The best trip ever , we visited fhe best places in The North , the Thailand of Europe Shala river , Theth and Blue Eye . A beautiful mix of history and nature , this tour has it all : River , Lake Mountain City and culture sites .

We had an amazing 8-day trip in Albania. We started with 2 nights in Tirana, which was very enjoyable and gave us enough time to see the main highlights of the city. From there, we travelled by bus and ferry across Lake Koman to Valbona. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, with beautiful mountains. We did a hike in the rain, but still got to experience some of the stunning mountain landscape. We stayed 2 nights in a simple but very welcoming guesthouse. After that, we took another boat trip across Lake Koman and into the Shala River. The riverside setting surrounded by dramatic mountains was idyllic, and since it was early in the season, it was peaceful and quiet. We spent the night in a lovely guesthouse with an incredible view from the room, before enjoying another beautiful boat ride the next morning. We then stayed 2 nights in a very cozy guesthouse in Theth and had a fantastic hike up to Valbona Pass Peak. Finally, we returned by bus to Tirana for one last evening in wonderful summer weather. Overall, this was a fantastic trip. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful, and it was easy to find the hiking routes thanks to good trail markings and hiking apps. We also received excellent support throughout the trip via WhatsApp from Brikena at Choose Balkan. Highly recommended!

Our guide, Aldo, was charming and informative. The scenery was breath taking and the Komani Lake ferry ride a true highlight. Some of the roads were quite hair raising but that just added to the sense of adventure and we were never concerned for our safety. I highly recommend this tour.
