Anchorage Tours & Trips
Think Anchorage is worth time beyond just being Alaska's gateway? It is! The city itself is functional rather than charming, but it's base for incredible access. You're doing day trips to Portage Glacier, Girdwood for hiking or skiing, possibly wildlife viewing. Anchorage Museum covers Alaskan history and indigenous cultures well. Flightseeing trips leave from here, with incredibly scenic glaciers, mountains, sometimes wildlife tours.

First type of tour like this I have taken - do not have a solid baseline thus the good rating
Alaska's Northern Lights (Anchorage, AK to Fairbanks, AK)Good Tour Great Guide & Bus Driver. Some accommodation older & outdated. Breakfasts a bit hit & miss on variety & quality. You get what you pay for......Expected a bit better than what we got accommodation wise.
Alaska ExplorerIt was a fabulous trip. We saw plenty of Alaskan animals and gorgeous scenery. It was an excellent combination of physically active and passive activities. The cruise on Prince William Sound was exciting, relaxing, and educational. Lucas, our tour guide was thoughtful, patient, and knowledgeable on all things Alaska. He had jokes! The choice of hotel in Anchorage needs rethinking. The Denali Bluffs accommodations were great, and the Best Western was good. It was the only one to offer breakfast. Breakfast really should be, at the least, the one meal offered at all the hotels. The location for all three was very good. I recommend this tour! Alaska wilderness is gorgeous!
