12 Day Argentina & Chile Itinerary, incl. Buenos Aires and Patagonia
A 12-day Patagonian tour showcases Perito Moreno Glacier, Torres del Paine National Park, and Grey Lake. Visitors walk through ancient forests, sail glacial waters, and observe local wildlife. The package features 4-star accommodations and all essential transportation.

- Days 1-3
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Start in Argentina's capital and take a day to get over jet lag. City tours work best in the morning before it gets too hot. Visit Plaza de Mayo early and check out San Telmo's antique markets which really come alive on Sundays. One traveler's tip: "The Palermo district wasn't included in the city tour, but it's worth dedicating your free day there - fantastic boutiques and cafes."

- Days 4-6
El Calafate, Argentina
Fly to El Calafate (about 3.5 hours). Plan an early start for the Perito Moreno Glacier and wear layers since the temperature changes a lot throughout the day. Book the boat safari well ahead of time because spots fill up quickly. If the weather turns bad you can spend time at the Glaciarium Museum. Make sure to bring shoes with good grip for walking on the glacier paths.

- Days 7-9
Puerto Natales, Chile
The bus ride from El Calafate goes through remote border crossings. Fill out your immigration forms before you arrive to save time. The Torres del Paine trip requires lots of driving (2+ hours each way) but you'll see incredible scenery. As one visitor mentioned: "The free day in Puerto Natales feels long unless you book an optional Grey Lake cruise - definitely worth the extra cost for close-up glacier views."

- Days 10-12
Santiago, Chile
Fly from Punta Arenas to Santiago (about 3.5 hours). Take the city tour to see highlights like La Moneda Palace but leave time to explore Bellavista on your own. The metro makes it easy to visit Mercado Central which is busiest at lunchtime. Schedule your departure flight for the evening since morning traffic can be heavy.
14 Day Argentina Itinerary, incl. Buenos Aires and Patagonia
This 2-week Patagonian adventure visits 4 major destinations: Buenos Aires, El Calafate's glacier region, El Chaltén's hiking paradise, and Ushuaia's national parks. The package includes 13 nights in 3-star hotels, guided excursions, and essential park entries.

- Days 1-2
Buenos Aires:
- Days 3-5
El Calafate:
Take a flight to El Calafate to access Los Glaciares National Park. Try to get a left-side window seat to see Lake Argentino during landing. Visit Perito Moreno Glacier early, before 10am. This helps you avoid crowds and get the best morning light for photos. Take a boat ride to see the massive 240ft ice walls up close. Use your last day here to explore the Patagonian steppe by 4x4, where you might spot local wildlife like guanacos and condors.

- Days 6-8
El Chaltén:
Take the 3-hour bus to El Chaltén, the perfect base for hiking. Sit on the right side for the best views going north. Start with the easier Laguna Capri trail (4-5 hours) before taking on the challenging Laguna de los Tres trek (8-9 hours). A recent visitor shared: "The final kilometer to Laguna de los Tres is brutal but worth every step. Start early and bring layers - the weather changes rapidly here."

- Days 9-11
Ushuaia:
Fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Take a boat trip on the Beagle Channel but pack warm clothes - it gets very windy. Spend a full day in Tierra del Fuego National Park and start your hikes early, before the afternoon winds pick up. The entrance fee is included but bring extra cash for any additional activities.

- Days 12-14
Buenos Aires:
Back in Buenos Aires, explore the elegant Recoleta area. Visit its famous cemetery in the morning when it is less crowded. Stop by El Ateneo Grand Splendid bookstore in its beautiful old theater building. For your final night, enjoy dinner at a traditional steakhouse in Palermo - locals usually start eating after 9pm.

13 Day Patagonia Itinerary, incl. El Calafate and Torres del Paine
A 13-day excursion through Patagonia's highlights visits Torres del Paine, Los Glaciares National Park, and Tierra del Fuego. Trek Mount Fitz Roy's trails, visit Perito Moreno Glacier, and cruise Beagle Channel with expert guides and premium accommodations.

- Days 1-3
El Calafate, Argentina
Begin your Patagonia journey in El Calafate, the entrance to Los Glaciares National Park. Head to the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier on day two for an early morning visit. "The Perito Moreno glacier hike was the highlight of my trip - an experience you can only have in South America." Book the optional boat ride to the glacier ($45) ahead of time since spots fill up quickly. Your free day is perfect for exploring the town or joining a 4x4 safari across the Patagonian steppe.

- Days 4-5
El Chalten
Take a 3-hour bus ride on Route 40 to El Chalten, where Argentina's best hiking awaits. You'll see beautiful views of Lake Argentino and the Patagonian steppe during your trip. Use your full day for hiking - the Laguna de Los Tres trail (8 hours round trip) gives you the best views of Mount Fitz Roy. Get an early start to watch the peaks turn red at sunrise. The mountain weather changes fast so bring plenty of layers.

- Days 7-8
Torres del Paine National Park, Chile
Cross into Chile to spend two days in Torres del Paine. It's a 2-hour drive from El Calafate to the park entrance. Your first day includes visits to scenic spots like Lago Sarmiento and Paine Falls. On day two take on the challenging 8-hour Base Las Torres hike. Start early because afternoon winds can get strong. Bring cash for park fees ($35) since many places don't take cards.

- Day 9
Punta Arenas
- Days 10-12
Ushuaia
The 12-hour bus ride to Ushuaia includes a 45-minute ferry across the Magellan Strait. Keep your camera ready for wildlife spotting. In Ushuaia you can hike and canoe in Tierra del Fuego National Park (pack waterproof gear) and take a Beagle Channel cruise to spot penguins. One visitor noted: "The hiking and paddling trip in Ushuaia was exceptional - the guide's knowledge of local flora and fauna made it truly special."

- Argentina & Chile: Amazing Patagonia - 13 days
Everything efficient and on time. Communication good. Day trips easy and interesting and full of amazing sights. Good guides and hotels, except you should warn people that Ushuaia hotel is impossible to walk to with luggage--take cab from bus station. Very well organized tour.

Me and old friend joined the 16-member group. It's the best tour I have checked off from my bucket list. The itinery is excellent. We travelled from metropolitan Buenos Aires. Along the way, we have seen magnificent mountains, volcano, glaciers, lakes, rivers, ocean, local animals and birds. We have taken ferry boats and caramans. We even had a tango night on the last day in BA. We have tried different local delicacies with lamb, stakes, fishes and fresh vegetables. We have strolled small towns at beautiful nights. I would choose Torres Del Paines tour as my best memory if I can only chose one. My friend and I took a private tour to El Boca and visited the Museum of Fine Art pre- and Tigr Delta post-tour. These are worthwhile extras. The tour would not be so unforgettable without CEO Naty. She is so funny yet organized. She is young and full of energy and passion, a typical Latin woman. She tends to details and individual needs. It's because of her our trip runs smoothly without a hitch. We are SO lucky to have her as our tour CEO. Also, the teammates are all pleasant, friendly and helpful, especially the two couples from Canada whose great sense of humor brought laughters to everyone. The only minor complaint is the hotel we stayed in Barilochi. It is built on the hill. The roads are steep and unpaved. The rooms are small and cramped. It is far away from the town center. We have to call taxi for transportation. The other thing is the lunch prepared by hotel to eat on the road contains salads and fresh fruit. The former gets messy after hours on the road, and the latter are not allowed crossing Chilean boarder. Despite the minor inconveniences,
