Luang Prabang Tours & Trips
Have you heard about the Southeast Asian town where French colonial charm meets Buddhist temples? Luang Prabang sits where the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers converge, temples scattered throughout. Morning alms-giving with monks is special, and Kuang Si Falls outside town has those turquoise pools for swimming. Climb Phousi Hill for sunset views, explore Wat Xieng Thong, and eat near the night market.

GIVE did it again with giving me a second 10/10 trip! The Laos team is nothing short of AMAZING, inspiring, and smart and I am grateful to have gotten to travel with them and learn from them all. Being in the village of Sop Chem was special as I became close to several locals and had the privilege of gaining knowledge of their culture. Beginning with breakfast and ending the day with “good vibes” this organization does one incredible job establishing a personalized and thoughtful itinerary for us travelers. I also appreciate the pay now, book later option making trips like these more accessible for college students like me! Thanks again GIVE, looking forward to Tanzania and Zanzibar!

The tour was beyond expectations. As my guide, Boun provided knowledgeable cultural information so I could learn and grow on the tour. English was always quite easy to understand. We had a variety of experiences/adventures and she was always attentive to the needs of the traveler. With Yulee as our driver, he ensured our safety and was incredibly considerate throughout the 4 days, providing refreshing cold water and stopping at unplanned requests. Very professional overall and I highly recommend both Boun and Yulee for anyone traveling to Loas.

- Spring 2026
Spring's pleasant weather sets up ideal conditions for mixing culture with outdoor activities. The days flow naturally from early market visits into forest walks leading to hidden waterfalls. Our tours this season get hands-on with silk dyeing at Ock Pop Tok, traditional flower arranging and spiritual ceremonies alongside local monks. Evening Royal Ballet shows at the palace add something special. Many tours include village cycling routes, Mekong boat journeys and guided walks through temples when frangipani flowers reach full bloom.

- Summer 2026
Summer tours work around the heat with early morning and late afternoon scheduling. The pace stays relaxed - starting with sunrise alms giving, then moving to market exploring and temple visits in cooler hours. Afternoons center on water activities at Kuang Si Falls or long-tail boat rides up the Mekong. Evenings come alive with Mount Phousi sunset views, night market wandering and traditional Baci ceremonies. Several groups stay in elevated wooden houses where natural airflow keeps everyone comfortable.

Autumn creates perfect conditions for active exploration, especially the 100 Waterfalls trek when water levels hit their sweet spot. Cultural activities mix visits to weaving villages with paper-making workshops and cooking classes using fresh market ingredients. The photography gets really interesting this time of year - misty alms ceremonies, temples glowing in golden light and rich Mekong sunsets.
