Reviews of 7 day Safari Tours
- Affordable 5-Day Amboseli & Masai Mara Kenya Budget Joining Tour for groups
My experience was truly remarkable. The cuisine was excellent, and the accommodations were both elegant and well-appointed. The restaurant offered a robust, dependable, and complimentary Wi-Fi connection, allowing us to share photos of wildlife with our friends and family. We spent five nights there, and my girlfriend cherished every moment!
- 4 Days 3 Nights Tarangire ,Serengeti & Ngorongoro Lodge Safari
The safari part of the trip was outstanding. The Ruaha NP was rather bland after the excitement of the earlier parks. The only real negative was the Arc Hotel in Morogoro. The hotel itself was very nice, but getting to it from the main road was extremely laborious and time consuming, especially when we were travel-weary to say the least. Certainly there could have been something more convenient. Overall, Amos and his team did an outstanding job of coordinating the trip. Thank you!

Amazing safari tour operator in Tanzania Lucas at Serengeti African Tours is excellent at putting together tailor made safaris. He is patient and responds quickly on WhatsApp. I had 8 quotes before settling on final tour! It surpassed expectations for the whole group (family of 5, 3 adult kids 24-29). Our guide David was outstanding with excellent English & knowledge of the Serengeti. His driving was incredible on the challenging tracks and he got us as close to everything. He was in constant radio contact with other guides which meant we didn’t miss a thing when there was animal action nearby & it was lovely that everyone knew him & greeted him warmly. We were well looked after, our recommended lodges & camps were perfect. I was worried about using a local company with no affiliation to ABTA or similar but was assured by Safari Bookings that all their listed companies are vetted/trustworthy. I would book again with Serengeti African Tours without reservation. They are a first class tour company & it was invaluable having direct contact with the organizer with local knowledge. Thank you Lucas & David for giving us the trip of a lifetime…
What our customers ask about 7 Day Safari
When is the best time for a 7-day safari tour in East Africa?
For Kenya's Masai Mara, plan your trip between July and October to catch the Great Migration. If you're heading to Tanzania's Serengeti, December through March is perfect for seeing big cats and baby wildebeest. The dry seasons (June to October and January to February) work well for spotting all kinds of animals since they gather near water sources. Days are generally pleasant, with temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C). One traveler told us: "We went in July and the weather was perfect - not too hot and we saw incredible amounts of wildlife around the water holes."
What wildlife can I expect to see during a 7-day safari?
You'll likely see quite a lot in a week. The Serengeti and Masai Mara are great spots to find the Big Five - lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. In Tarangire National Park, you might come across huge elephant herds with up to 300 animals. Lake Nakuru is a bird lover's paradise with over 450 species, including its famous pink flamingos. As one traveler shared: "We saw everything from massive elephant herds in Tarangire to tree-climbing lions in Lake Manyara, and even witnessed the wildebeest migration in Serengeti."
What kind of accommodation can I expect on a 7-day safari?
You'll find different options to match your budget. You can stay in comfortable lodges like Kudu Lodge or Bougainvillea Lodge, or get closer to nature in tented camps such as Tukaone Serengeti Camp or Katikati Tented Camp. If you're watching your spending, places like Heaven Nature Campsite or Pimbi Camp work well. One happy traveler told us: "The lodges were fantastic - we stayed at The African Tulip in Arusha, The Manor in Ngorongoro and Pumzika in Serengeti. We enjoyed the food and luxurious services in these properties to the fullest."
What type of weather conditions should I prepare for?
The weather changes depending on where you are. In the Serengeti, days usually hit around 77°F (25°C), but nights can cool down to 50°F (10°C). Over in the Masai Mara, you'll find temperatures between 68°F (20°C) and 86°F (30°C). Pack light clothes for warm days but bring some warm layers too - you'll want them for those early morning game drives, especially in higher spots like Ngorongoro Crater.
What are the most popular destinations covered on a 7-day safari tour?
In Tanzania, most tours visit the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara. Kenya's highlights include the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Amboseli National Park - where you can watch elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. These parks are great places to spot the Big Five and, if you time it right, see the wildebeest migration.
How much driving time should I expect on a 7-day safari?
You'll spend about 2-5 hours driving between parks. Getting from Nairobi to the Masai Mara takes 5-6 hours, while going from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater is about 3-4 hours. Game drives usually happen twice a day, lasting 3-4 hours each in the morning and afternoon. You'll ride in 4x4s made for safaris with good seats and windows for viewing. One traveler noted: "The drives between parks were scenic and comfortable in the 4x4s, and our guide made regular stops at scenic points and for wildlife viewing."
