Reviews of 7 day Safari Tours
- Sri Lanka Highlights Express
Enjoyed the driver and all the locations. Hotels were excellent
- Miniature Tour Of Sri Lanka (4 Days) Upgrade to Private Tour Available
It was a great tour because we could access to everywhere that we want to visit. Also, our driver was so nice and kind person. He always smiled and tried to help us during our journey. The car wasn’t new but it was okey for a couple of days.
- Exploring Cultural Treasures and Natural Wonders in 5 Days
We joined this tour 22-26 November 2025. It was a good experience. The accomodations were excellent. Places and activities from Day 1 to day 3 were exhausting but exciting, especially the climb to Sigiriya rock. The driver assigned to us from Nuwara Eliya to Ella was not familiar with the tourist destinations, he kept on asking from the locals which way to take. We wasted time on the 4th day, waited for 3 hrs in the train station to Ella, missed lunch. The driver did not even offer to take us to a nearby resto. The 5th day was hectic: climbed Adams peak, to the 9 arch bridge then joined the safari. I rate safari 2.5/5 as there were very few animals. It was more of bumpy ride. Over-all, it was worth the money.
What our customers ask about 7 Day Safari
When is the best time for a 7-day safari tour in East Africa?
For Kenya's Masai Mara, plan your trip between July and October to catch the Great Migration. If you're heading to Tanzania's Serengeti, December through March is perfect for seeing big cats and baby wildebeest. The dry seasons (June to October and January to February) work well for spotting all kinds of animals since they gather near water sources. Days are generally pleasant, with temperatures between 70-85°F (21-29°C). One traveler told us: "We went in July and the weather was perfect - not too hot and we saw incredible amounts of wildlife around the water holes."
What wildlife can I expect to see during a 7-day safari?
You'll likely see quite a lot in a week. The Serengeti and Masai Mara are great spots to find the Big Five - lions, leopards, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo. In Tarangire National Park, you might come across huge elephant herds with up to 300 animals. Lake Nakuru is a bird lover's paradise with over 450 species, including its famous pink flamingos. As one traveler shared: "We saw everything from massive elephant herds in Tarangire to tree-climbing lions in Lake Manyara, and even witnessed the wildebeest migration in Serengeti."
What kind of accommodation can I expect on a 7-day safari?
You'll find different options to match your budget. You can stay in comfortable lodges like Kudu Lodge or Bougainvillea Lodge, or get closer to nature in tented camps such as Tukaone Serengeti Camp or Katikati Tented Camp. If you're watching your spending, places like Heaven Nature Campsite or Pimbi Camp work well. One happy traveler told us: "The lodges were fantastic - we stayed at The African Tulip in Arusha, The Manor in Ngorongoro and Pumzika in Serengeti. We enjoyed the food and luxurious services in these properties to the fullest."
What type of weather conditions should I prepare for?
The weather changes depending on where you are. In the Serengeti, days usually hit around 77°F (25°C), but nights can cool down to 50°F (10°C). Over in the Masai Mara, you'll find temperatures between 68°F (20°C) and 86°F (30°C). Pack light clothes for warm days but bring some warm layers too - you'll want them for those early morning game drives, especially in higher spots like Ngorongoro Crater.
What are the most popular destinations covered on a 7-day safari tour?
In Tanzania, most tours visit the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara. Kenya's highlights include the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Amboseli National Park - where you can watch elephants with Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. These parks are great places to spot the Big Five and, if you time it right, see the wildebeest migration.
How much driving time should I expect on a 7-day safari?
You'll spend about 2-5 hours driving between parks. Getting from Nairobi to the Masai Mara takes 5-6 hours, while going from the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater is about 3-4 hours. Game drives usually happen twice a day, lasting 3-4 hours each in the morning and afternoon. You'll ride in 4x4s made for safaris with good seats and windows for viewing. One traveler noted: "The drives between parks were scenic and comfortable in the 4x4s, and our guide made regular stops at scenic points and for wildlife viewing."
