31 Day Southeast Asia Itinerary, incl. Hanoi and Luang Prabang
A rich 31-day Asian odyssey takes you to Ha Long Bay, Hoi An, Siem Reap, Bangkok, and Luang Prabang. Local life comes alive through cooking classes, village stays, and traditional ceremonies. Luxury accommodations and internal flights between major destinations are included.

- Days 1-2
Hanoi, Vietnam
Start in Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter. Take a morning motorbike tour with local female guides at 8 AM to see Ba Dinh Square and Tran Quoc Pagoda. Get your first taste of authentic pho for lunch. A recent visitor said, "The street food tour was incredible - try the egg coffee at Café Giang, it's unlike anything you've had before."

- Days 3-4
Halong Bay & Pu Luong
- Days 6-8
Hoi An
Take a 90-minute flight to Hoi An. Learn to make spring rolls in a morning cooking class and walk through the Ancient Town. Want great photos of the Japanese Bridge? Get there before 7 AM. Pick between kayaking in the mangroves or visiting My Son ruins. If you choose the ruins, go early before the heat kicks in.

- Days 9-10
Ho Chi Minh City
- Days 11-13
Siem Reap
- Days 14-15
Cardamom Mountains
- Days 16-17
Koh Chang
- Days 18-19

14 Days in Southeast Asia, incl. Bangkok and Hanoi
The 29-day Asian adventure spans from Bangkok's temples to Ha Long Bay's karsts. Transportation includes overnight trains, river boats, and internal flights while visiting UNESCO sites and participating in community projects like Ban Ou village visits.

- Days 1-2
Bangkok
Start in Thailand's capital and stay in the Sukhumvit area for easy BTS access. "Taking the morning longtail boat through the klongs gave us a completely different perspective of Bangkok - bring a hat and sunscreen, the sun reflects off the water." Visit Wat Po early at 8 AM before the crowds show up. Keep your evening open to explore Khao San Road.

- Days 3-4
Chiang Mai
Take the overnight train north. It's a 12-hour trip, so book a lower berth for better sleep. Visit the Old City temples and make sure to see Doi Suthep. "Getting to Doi Suthep for sunset meant fewer crowds and cooler temperatures for climbing those 306 steps." Try a cooking class. Most schools will pick you up from your hotel around 8:30 AM.

- Days 5-6
Luang Prabang
Take a 1.5-hour flight from Chiang Mai. Stay near the night market area. The alms-giving ceremony starts early at 5:30 AM. Remember to wear clothes that cover your shoulders and knees. Visit Kuang Si Falls in the morning when it's quieter and better for photos. At night, check out the market for local textiles.

- Days 7-8
Hanoi
It's a 2-hour direct flight. Stay in the Old Quarter but be ready for street noise. "Request higher floor rooms facing courtyard for quieter nights." See the Ho Chi Minh complex first thing since it closes at 10:30 AM. Book an evening food tour to discover the best street food spots.
- Days 9-10
Halong Bay
The drive from Hanoi takes 4 hours. Take a 2-day cruise to really experience the bay. "The morning tai chi on deck was magical, but bring warm layers - winter mornings can be chilly and misty." Look for cruises that go to Bai Tu Long Bay where there are fewer tourists.
- Days 11-12
Hoi An
Fly to Da Nang (1 hour) then drive 30 minutes to Hoi An. Stay in the Ancient Town area. Take a cooking class that includes a market visit. "The morning light makes Ancient Town's yellow buildings glow - perfect for photos before crowds arrive."
- Days 13-14
Ho Chi Minh City
Take a 1.5-hour flight from Da Nang. Stay in District 1. Visit Cu Chi tunnels first thing in the morning. "Take early tour to avoid heat - tunnels are hot and claustrophobic even in cool weather." Use your last day to see the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh Market.
