Zambia Tours & Trips

We’re a family of five, and this trip to Zambia was truly one we’ll never forget. The first part of our journey took us to Mufulira, the town where my dad was born back in the 60s. Mark organised everything for us and made sure it all went smoothly. He actually grew up there himself, so it was a nostalgic experience for him too. What really stood out was how thoughtful he was, my mum’s a vegetarian, and he went out of his way to make sure her dietary needs were looked after. The second part of the trip was with Fines and our driver, Alick—and they were both just fantastic. Kind, funny, and full of knowledge about the places we visited. Thanks to them, we got to see and learn so much we wouldn’t have been able to on our own. There was so much history everywhere we went, and they brought it to life in such an engaging way. The safari at Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park was unforgettable, we had an incredibly close (and slightly thrilling!) encounter with an elephant. We also did a boat cruise through the park with the Radisson Blu, which was really relaxing and beautiful. Victoria Falls was just as amazing as we imagined, breathtaking in every sense. One of the other highlights was a day trip to Chobe National Park in Botswana, which also included a lovely boat ride. Another great adventure! On the last day, my dad realised he’d left his wallet in Livingstone. Without hesitation, Mark arranged for someone to bring it all the way to Lusaka. It was such a kind gesture and really summed up the care and attention we experienced throughout the trip. Honestly, this was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. We were all really sad to say goodbye. If you’re thinking of exploring Zambia, I can’t recommend Lochinvar Safaris enough. I really felt like I was immersed in the culture. Mark made sure that our trip was fantastic and really put in an effort to provide us with knowledgeable guides along the way. It was everything promised and more! I will definitely use them again for our next trip.

Canoeing on the Zambezi was a great trip. The participation in setting up camp, food preparation and breaking camp added to the trip. Not to mention the actual canoeing which was strenuous at times but mostly was easy. We saw a lot and got really close to some wildlife - our safety was always a top priority for our guides.
