We have just completed a 6 day tour with Local Friends Albania. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and we learned so much about Albania. Our driver Zeni was very caring and attentive and looked after everything for us. Zeni is a character and is very knowledgeable. The tour was well organised and the accomodation was good. I would recommend Local Friends Albania to other travellers

Very happy with the 4 day tour of Albania. Our tour guide/driver Giulio had a very broad knowledge and understanding of Albanian history and culture. It was a private tour with just my husband and tour guide which we appreciated as the tour was flexible to our needs. Giulio provided interesting information about each area we visited and gave us ample free time to explore on our own. We also appreciated his confident and safe driving as well as his easy going and good company. Accommodation was of a very high standard and well located, some with great views. The hotel in Berat was within the castle walls which was lovely. All hotels provided a quality breakfast. Thank you to Friends Of Albania for a well organised, interesting tour with very good communication at all times.

Drive Albania's tour way exceeded our expectations. We had been recommended it as an unspoiled, uncrowded destination which definitely appealed compared to the crowds elsewhere. We were not disappointed. The vehicles were comfortable and reliable and very well driven by Kreshnik and Ed - we drove over amazing mountain ranges at some hair raising heights with (hardly) a worry! We saw very few other vehicles, we stayed in some spectacular places (loved Berat and Girokaster) and without exception the food was very good - almost always home cooked by family members in restaurants and small hotels. Apart from the adventure of the wild countryside and the amazingly friendly Albanian people there was a fascinating contrast between fabulous Roman ruins and ancient cities and the solid defences of the Ceaucescu regime. Ed was also an expert on the British Special Forces in Albania in WW2. We departed Saranda by ferry for Corfu, for a couple of days rest organised by Drive Albania. We will definitely be back.
