My friend and I (two girls) did a custom tour of the Alps in northern Albania with Enjoy Travel. From the very beginning, Genci was extremely prompt with his responses and very willing to go through several iterations of the itinerary until it was perfect and exactly what we wanted. Throughout the trip, he was always very quick to answer our questions, always on time, very professional, and very flexible when we wanted to change items in the itinerary or meeting times last minute. He surprised us with one of the most magnificent guest houses by a lake that i have ever been to, and we would have never have found it on our own or would have been be able to navigate to/from on the ferry without him. As to the sights themselves - Albania is stunningly beautiful. Gorgeous mountains at the Valbona Pass (and being in the Valbona village surrounded by the mountains is pure magic), surreal ferry ride on the Shala River, glorious Komani Lake, lots of fun farm animals in the villages, the historic Berat castle… Albania left quite on impression on us and the trip would have been a lot more stressful and difficult to navigate on our own without Genci by our side. We’ve had an unforgettable experience. If you have any doubts on whether to sign up with Enjoy Travel, definitely do it! They took out all the stress and logistics hustle (a real menace for foreigners like us) out of the trip so we could truly take in all the sights. Highly recommend going with them!

Amazing 3-Day Family Tour in Albania with Guide Skerdi We had a fantastic 3-day family tour in Albania, exploring hidden gems with our wonderful guide, Skerdi. His local knowledge and passion for the country made the trip unforgettable. We started in Tirana, discovering both the main sights and hidden corners of the city. Day two took us to the UNESCO towns of Berat and Gjirokastër, where Skerdi shared fascinating history and culture. On day three, we enjoyed the stunning Albanian Riviera, including secret beaches and hikes to ancient ruins. With local friends joining us, the experience felt authentic and personal. Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see the true beauty of Albania!

What our customers ask about Private Tours & Trips in Albania
What's typically included in the price of a Private Albania tour?
Private Albania tours come equipped with English-speaking guides and dedicated transportation. The price covers stays at 4-5 star hotels or local guesthouses daily breakfast and entry to key sites. Extra touches often appear in tours such as sampling wines in Berat's historic district or sitting down to local family dinners. A TourRadar reviewer noted: "The value was excellent - having our own guide and driver staying in beautiful hotels and enjoying insider experiences made the tour worth every penny."
What types of accommodation can I expect on Albania Private tours?
Accommodations range from modern city hotels to family-run mountain lodges. Visitors can expect properties like the sophisticated Hotel Plaza in Tirana's center while mountain stays feature authentic places like Guest House Flodisa in Theth. Coastal regions offer seafront options such as Hotel Martim in Saranda. According to a TourRadar review: "The accommodations ranged from charming family-run guesthouses in the mountains to elegant hotels in the cities each offering unique character and comfort."
What's the best time of year to take a Private tour in Albania?
Albania's diverse regions shine in different seasons. Cultural tours to places like Berat and Gjirokastra work best from April through October when temperatures hover between 20-30°C. Beach visits along the Albanian Riviera peak from May to September while mountain treks in the Albanian Alps are ideal June through September. As one TourRadar traveler noted about their summer tour: "We had an amazing 4-day tour across Albania with Local Friends Albania and the weather was perfect for exploring from the stunning landscapes of the North to the beautiful coastal views in the South."
What are the main highlights covered in Albania Private tours?
Private tours weave through Albania's key sites from the UNESCO-listed Ottoman towns of Berat and Gjirokastra to the rugged peaks of Theth National Park and the Mediterranean beaches of Ksamil and Saranda. Visitors spend time at local wineries in Berat explore the ancient ruins of Butrint and trek through Valbona Valley's mountain paths. As one TourRadar traveler noted "Having a private guide made exploring Albania's cultural and natural wonders an unforgettable experience - from hidden mountain villages to coastal gems."
How do I get between destinations on Private tours in Albania?
Tours provide modern air-conditioned vehicles with professional drivers at the wheel. Journeys between major points like Tirana to Berat take about two hours (130km) while Saranda to Gjirokastra runs about one hour (55km). Mountain destinations such as Theth require specialized 4x4 vehicles. According to a TourRadar review: "The private transfers were comfortable and our driver was excellent making even the mountain roads feel safe and enjoyable."
How physically demanding are Private tours in Albania?
Physical requirements depend on your chosen route. City-based cultural tours through Berat Shkoder and Tirana need basic fitness for walking on old streets and modest hills. Mountain itineraries in the Albanian Alps or along High Scardus Trail demand more stamina with daily walks reaching 5-8 hours and climbs up to 1000m. According to a TourRadar traveler: "The hiking trails were well-planned with stunning views and our guide Skerdi adapted the pace perfectly to our abilities while exploring both mountains and coastal areas."
