We had a fantastic five-day private tour of Albania. Our guide, Albi, was absolutely fantastic—very knowledgeable about the history, geography and archaeology of this fascinating country and possessed a deep love of sharing his knowledge with us. He had a wealth of wonderful and helpful suggestions about what to experience, where to eat, and he was super flexible, allowing us to make choices about our preferences and time. He was also a very safe driver in a county where driving can be challenging! We left feeling like we had made a life-long friend as well as a deep appreciation for the beautiful county of Albania and her people.

The itinerary was very well organized and gave us a great combination of history, culture, nature, local traditions and beautiful coastal scenery without feeling like we were simply rushing from one attraction to another. One of the things we enjoyed most was the variety. We visited historic places such as Krujë, Berat and Gjirokastër, explored castles and traditional neighborhoods, and then continued towards the Albanian Riviera, with stops around Himarë, Llogara and Vlorë. The scenery throughout the trip was incredible. We also really appreciated the local experiences. Trying traditional food and visiting less touristy places made the trip feel much more authentic than a standard sightseeing tour. Having a private tour and a knowledgeable local guide also made a big difference, because the itinerary could feel more personal and we could ask questions and take our time when something particularly interested us. The accommodation and transportation were well organized, and having everything arranged for us made the six days very relaxing. Despite seeing so much of Albania, the tour never felt overly demanding. If you want to see Albania's highlights, experience authentic local culture, discover historic towns, enjoy spectacular landscapes and explore the Riviera in one trip, I would definitely recommend this tour. It was an excellent introduction to Albania and gave us memories we will have for a long time.
