He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and supportive from before the trip had even started. He made everything fun, even longer travel days, and helped keep the group together like a little family. AJ always made sure we knew the best local spots to eat and drink, the best activities to do and he seamlessly arranged any extra activities whenever we wanted to do something outside the itinerary too. The Philippines is stunning - beautiful beaches, dellllicious food, and the friendliest people. I would go back in a heartbeat if I could. Huge thanks to AJ and TruTravels! Steph xx

The itinerary was perfect, it had the perfect balance of relaxation and busy times doing activities. It was such a heartwarming tour and I loved being able to go to the castaway and visit the local families. My tour guide AJ made the tour even better! He has such a wealth of knowledge about the country and was always sharing that knowledge with us, really cared about supporting local communities and the environment, always went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having an amazing time, he was genuinely so fun to be around and had great suggestions on what to do during our free time. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect tour guide!! I don’t know what I miss more, the Philippines or AJ 😛❤️

He was also super knowledgeable and had the answers to all the questions we had about the Philippines. He made me feel so welcome, especially being one of the late joiners on the trip. The activities were great fun, I especially enjoyed the canyoneering!!

Aj made this tour truly special. He introduced us to the country and its culture in a very personal and creative way. It wasn't just a typical tour, but an inspiring journey where you felt like more than just a tourist.
What impressed me most was the passion and dedication Aj poured into the tour. You can tell he loves his work, and it's truly contagious. He understood how to not only show the sights but also convey the deeper meaning and history behind them.
I highly recommend this tour – Aj is definitely the best tour guide I've ever had. 10 out of 10!

He is an incredible person and honestly made our trip to the Phillipines as good as it was and it wouldn’t have been the same without him, he has made us definitely want to visit the Phillipines again.

We swam and snorkeled in some of the most beautiful waters I have ever seen in my life and were always greeted with kindness and attentiveness by the locals we came across.

Always made the activities fun and enjoyable, unbelievably talented with his singing which he shared with us and a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide. Nothing was ever too much to ask of him and he really did make the trip insanely better. Would definitely recommend AJ for any other tour.

We are about to complete our Philippine' s West tour with Gals who travel and I am not only speaking gor for me but also for the 17 other gals that our guide, AJ Pon, was the heartbeat of this entire experience.
From the moment we arrived on March 26 until our final departure on April 4, AJ provided an experience that was as seamless as it was authentic.
Every logistical detail—from island transfers and domestic flights to hidden local eateries—was handled with absolute precision, allowing us to relax and soak in the beauty of the islands without a single worry.
Beyond the logistics, AJ is a passionate singer and photograph. Whether it was navigating the lagoons of El Nido or finding a secluded beach or restaurant away from the crowds, his insider expertise made all the difference and made us sing, laugh and looking forward more than excited to the activities of the following day.
Warm, punctual, and incredibly attentive to our needs, AJ didn’t just feel like a tour guide, but like a local friend or even a big caring brother showing us the very best of their home. His intuition for our needs—whether it was a spontaneous photo op, a specific dietary request, or ensuring our safety during excursions—was remarkable. His sense of humor kept our spirits high, even during long travel days and made us form a really dynamic group in a very short laps of time.

Having done multiple tours with other companies before, I have experienced a lot of differing quality of tour guides but AJ was the guide for our group on this tour and he was nothing short of amazing!

AJ Pon, my guide, was absolutely amazing. He was kind, positive, fun, as well as extremely organized, timely, knowledgeable. The entire trip went off without a hitch- everything was so smooth and timely. Aj went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group felt taken care of and supported. He also shared lots of knowledge and history about the Philippines, and was happy to answer any questions we had about the Philippines or anything at all. When we had free time, he would send recommendations on restaurants and fun things to do in the area, and if anyone wanted to do an activity outside of the itinerary, he would be so kind as to arrange transport, tickets, etc. Aj took the leg work out of everything- we didn’t have to think about a thing. Aj was a wonderful tour guide and significantly enhanced my experience - he was such a delight to be around, was so kind and positive, and we knew he was always there for us if we needed anything at all.
