He briefed everything so properly and we followed his instruction comfortably. The porter Saila was a nice man. They made everything happen perfectly. Owner Machhindra worked with us to fine-tune different needs and also help with any issues that came up. He took care of all things so that we didn’t have to think about any logistics. It was our good decision to choose a local company like Oriental Journeys who knows the areas by heart, knows the local culture, and has lived it their whole lives.

The trail is rich with natural wonders, cultural diversity and interesting people. The experience was excellent and as we had expected. The guide and supporting staff were friendly and helpful. When I return to Nepal to trek again, I will be certain to place myself in the genuinely caring hands of Oriental Journeys. That goes for family and friends as well.

My guide Layu and Potter Pemba were very nice people. Layu is an experienced and knowledgeable guide of the regions made it especially helpful when learning about Nepali culture! we were bit scared the previous night of Thorang-La as we have heard about the HudHud blizzard but we managed to make it to Thorong La pass the next morning with clear skies. There were soft snow at the trail side. Our group went first and guide expertly lead the way for everyone else coming after. Special thanks to Machhindra and Radhika for helping me with the booking process as well! I would recommend Oriental Journeys to anyone looking to trek in Nepal.

The porter Sanjaya is very good and he has done good job. Our operator Machhindra provides all the information quickly. Our guide told us that the villages were badly devastated during the earthquake of 2015, anyway happy to see they have revived. The villages look quite different than we see and read in internet. The view, food and people were amazing. He also said that we can continue the trek of Langtang Valley after Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking.
