About me:Experience since 1998 Born in the hilly region of Nuwakot the lap of Langtang Mountain range, Mr Mahat is a senior trek leader at Oriental Journeys. He is one of the vital pillars of company and inputs in the issues regarding travel consultations. Each year, he leads hundreds of people to the mountain for trekking and adventure tours. He owes a wide knowledge of Mountains, mountain people and their cultures.

For us, the ABC Trek was a difficult journey. Even if there are many ups and downs, it's all worthwhile in the end. We are fortunate to witness the dawn and the gorgeously blossoming Rhodondren forest at Poonhill. Following Poonhill, our parents split up and we go on separate travel routes. We continue travelling and are fortunate to witness the stunning mountains at ABC as our parents return to Pokhara. Our leader was Aneel Mahat, and we had Rames' assistance. They had a great personality and were the finest at what they did.

My family and I visited a number of places, and we had a great time in each of them through Nepal Highlight Tour. The employees, guides, and drivers were all extremely friendly and hospitable. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha, was one of my favorites. In my life, I've never seen such a peaceful and beautiful place. I am really fascinating with the scenic beauty of Pokhara and Nagarkot. We are really overwhelmed with caring and appreciate wonderful trip management of Oriental Journeys! Our tour guide, Nabin, was very knowledgeable. He took us on an overnight tour of Kathmandu Valley and Nagarkot Hill. It was to learn about Nepal's cultural heritage. It was a fantastic adventure in Chitwan National Park. It was an exciting river canoe and Jeep safari tour. Finally, the Pokhara tour was fantastic for experiencing a variety of experiences. I will gladly recommend Oriental Journeys - tour operator for such an exceptional experience.

This is our 2nd trek after Annapurna base camp with the same company. We have a good experience from our first trek therefore, we request for the 2nd trek with the same company. Our guide and porter are very helpful and we have taken the same guide and porter in Langtang trek too. Langtang valley was mostly affected by 2015 earthquake and after the reconstruction of the trail after earthquake; tea houses are gradually being built. I have seen lots of trekkers trekking in the Langtang valley. It’s a good time to go to Langtang. We must go to this trek for the upliftment of the local people in the area since they are struggling to sustain after the earthquake. I would highly recommend this company and the trek!

Weather supported us with a big sun and blue skies everyday despite the more cold temperature as you go high.
Both of our guides, Aneel and Pasang were both very attentive at all times. Took care after us as family providing all necessary briefing. The shops are bit expensive but they are delicious.
There were 9 of us on our trek and so with our two guides we became a very close group and we enjoyed the entire trip. Thanks to the Operator and team too.

We did the Upper Mustang trek during the first week of September 2019. It was heavily raining in the lower part of the trek and Pokhara. We were suggested that the region falls in the rain shadow area so the areas of Upper Mustang were completely dry. We felt like we were completely in another world. The uniquely fantastic landscape like that of Tibet and the very small patches of cultivating lands were the thrilling part of the Upper Mustang. We were very much pleased with the service of Oriental Journeys. Our guide Raj was very experienced to handle every kinds of situation during our trip. The experience was really rewarding after all, especially from the cultural side thanks to our guide Raj who helped us a lot on understanding the lifestyle and current situation of the people living in the Mustang region valley and other regions of the Himalayas. Although we missed the biggest festival of the region like Tiji, we enjoyed the feel of all the cultural, traditional, ritual parts including the lifestyle of Upper Mustang. Specially, the cave civilization of the region is really interesting. We had a lifetime experience. Thanks the owner couple Machhindra and Radhika for wonderful arrangement.

It is difficult to believe how beautiful the views you experience on this trek really are, even after actually doing it. We were lucky enough to have clear blue skies and sunshine for almost the whole…It is difficult to believe how beautiful the views you experience on this trek really are, even after actually doing it. We were lucky enough to have clear blue skies and sunshine for almost the whole 11 days, with just one foggy afternoon and one rainy morning on the way down. We loved the people, nature, mountains and views all the way.
What really made the trek even better, though, was our experienced guide. Aneel from Oriental Journeys was honestly outstanding, doing his utmost to make our experience as comfortable as it could be. He enjoy hiking with and we will definitely be seeing Oriental Journeys again somehow when we go back to Nepal !

In the beginning, visibility was rather bad and afternoons were rainy. We skipped Poon Hill because of the clouds. I enjoyed very much walking in rhodorendron forests between Chorepani and Chomrong. When we reached Annapurna Base Camp the weather was perfect – good visibility and no clouds at all. Visit of Machhapuchre Base Camp was worthwhile.
We had a very good team spirit. Our group worked very well and we enjoyed trekking together. After daily treks, we had nice pastime going around, observing the local lifestyle and playing cards. Our guide Aneel was very helpful, all the time he gave us a very good company. Our Operator Radhika and team was perfect in tour operation. Thanks for making our trip successful.

They quickly and respectfully answered all my inquiries and were very patient with me. Machhindra was so professional pre travel and when I arrived in Nepal, Deepak Mahat met me and spent a few hours with me to make sure all the details in my itinerary were locked down. In Bhutan the ABC/Druk tour groups took such good care of me. My guide Mr. Kuenzang Tenzin was probably the best guide I have ever had (and I have been to close to 60 countries). He listened to my needs and desired and made the itinerary work for me specifically. He was friendly, sensitive, professional and so truly represented all I came to experience in Bhutan. My driver Jigme Sonam was not only an excellent and professional driver in tricky driving conditions, he was flexible sensitive to my needs. The guide and driver were all part of my team; or, at least, that is how they made me feel. The driver in Nepal was equally skilled and responsible. My guides in Nepal Amil Mahat and Nabin Dhakal were also excellent...warm, welcoming, informed, flexible and thoughtful. All hotels were great as was the food. I loved both Bhutan and Nepal and the trip itinerary gave me enough of a taste of both countries to know I will return and when I do I will use Oriental Journeys and ABC/Druk tour groups again and the same guides if possible.
