Mo made the tour that much better with his vast knowledge and expertise in all things Egypt and his sense of humor helped to keep everything interesting. We would highly recommend travelling Egypt on a tour with Mo if you do not wish to miss anything along the way.

To avoid crowds he took our tour group at slightly off times which allowed to greater access to the sites with less traffic for better, unobstructed photo opportunities. His recommendations we all excellent and even helped get reservations at the Old Catarct which was off our tour, but most appreciated. Mo offers friendly advice and a wealth of knowledge. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a guide for anyone wishing to learn about the wonders of egypt!

He is so passionate about Egypt history and what he is doing, he always made sure we are all safe and planned the schedule well in advance and communicated to us clearly beforehand, so that we could enjoy the spots away from long queues and crowds. I like how he always communicated things clearly to make sure we know where and when to meet, and what to expect, etc (not everyone communicates well) ?
I did not have much expectations before the tour due to my busy schedule from work, so just joined the tour solo so I could finally have my first trip after covid! And I missed the trip already! Mo and Bisho made me feel safe all the way, and I felt so fascinated in every single site, the experience will not be the same without the knowledge given from Mo. He would talk about the highlight, background information and history of the sites before you enjoy the are yourself ??✨ I wish to be back one day and explore more of Egypt, thank you Mo!

Mo was a fantastic guide. He is so knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and all the things we saw. It was very impressive. He was also a great ambassador for his country and culture. I appreciate the things I learned from him. He and Bishoo were quick to handle any issues that arose. They were very professional and I would not hesitate to travel with them again.

Mo sincerely cared about the subject matter he was guiding us all through and we covered a substantial amount of material without feeling rushed.
I’d give Mo at least a 10 out of 10, and absolutely look forward to the day when I get to do another tour with him!

Much to his distaste, I went in to my tour of Egypt with the bare minimum knowledge that I had obtained from The Mummy movie, and Mo went above…There are not enough amazing things I can say about Mo!
Much to his distaste, I went in to my tour of Egypt with the bare minimum knowledge that I had obtained from The Mummy movie, and Mo went above and beyond to not only unpack the very long detailed history of Ancient Egypt, and the modern day culture of the country, but to relay the information in a way that had us all hooked and incredibly interested from the first sight to the very last.
Despite the numerous (very very) early starts and the jam packed itinerary, Mo always went out of his way to keep morale high within the group with his great sense of humour and miraculous way of making food and snacks appear frequently!
I genuinely believe my amazing time in Egypt is a huge attribute to Mo! So if you get Mo as your tour guide, just know you’re about to have the absolute BEST experience of your life and you’ll understand shortly how lucky you are to have him! x

We enjoyed the food at every hotel as well as the local restaurants during the day and evening.
Our guide, Mo, was knowledgeable and highly skilled. He made us all feel safe and welcomed. It was obvious that he is an expert Egyptologist in his field. Mo was also patient and thorough answering our questions (and we had many) in regards to our tour and the history and culture. He really made our trip exceptional!
There were several variations of tours going on simultaneously— I was impressed how organized the trip leaders and guides were. Very impressed. With so many different itineraries, they were flexible to allow changes if necessary. At first I was thinking of switching from land to cruise but after speaking with Mo- he convinced me to stay with the felucca trip. I was nervous because the weather was colder than I planned and I was worried we would be freezing. Mo assured us we would be fine and not cold. I trusted him and I’m so glad we decided to do it. We had a blast and it was one of my favorite experiences of the trip, we were not cold at all! Bravo to Mo and your entire team at Travel Talk.
I will also give shout out to Bishoo, our trip coordinator— for his outstanding customer service! He went above and beyond in helping us every step of the way! You guys have a strong team and exceptional leadership. Thank you for everything. A very positive and memorable trip!

I would say I enjoyed the tour overall but there were some issues. One hotel in particular, the oasis hotel Cairo was abysmal and not clean and up to modern standards. There was a general concensus among our group that the place was terrible but unfortunately Travel Talk seems to persist to book that hotel in all of their tours. It needs to change.
The sleeper train was awful. It was filthy and noisy. The condition and maintenance of the train is questionnable. Do not expect to sleep. Option to go by regional plane should be available. It would have saved time.
The time schedule of the tour was also too tight for the number of things we saw. We always felt rushed and we were not having enough free time to visit at our own pace. It was not a relaxing experience.

For me I needed that extra day on my own to really appreciate the pyramids!

It really is the best way to make the most of your trip and see a lot of different things. Mo was a fantastic tour guide. He is so passionate about what he does and full of interesting information. One of the reasons our trip was so amazing is because of him and we cannot thank him enough! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a Travel Talk tour to anyone, and would definitely highly recommend Mo as a tour guide. This is a pretty packed tour for getting all the sights in & is just mind blowing for that exact reason. I even managed to upgrade to include the 2 night felucca ride which for me was an incredible, unexpected highlight.
As everyone in Egypt is haggling for money, Mo made it relaxing & easy for us to buy things we needed from shops & even got us some delicious local falafel along the way - thanks Mo!!!
The only bad review I can give this tour was that after advising I have dietary restrictions & checking up via email before getting there, the message wasn’t passed on. But for the most part Egyptian food is pretty accommodating just not lots of different options!
But as far as the tour itself goes, I would highly recommend it, especially if you like to be out seeing as much as you can & socking in all the beautiful history. And definitely ask for Mo as you guide, you won’t be disappointed :)

Egypt is a very packed itinerary. There unfortunately is more time spent on a bus than I had expected, 3 lots of 10 hour bus journeys. But there is also so much to cover. I would say that the tour could do with starting in Ashwan, rather than having to drive there and back from Cairo. Would cut out a lot of travel.
Jordan feels very cut off and like a separate trip from Egypt. A different tour guide and doesn’t feel like a continuation. Our tour guide there was very nice, but not great at passing on helpful/useful information. He was very knowledgeable on Jordan, but not good at passing on what/where/how things were going in concern to the tour.

- organised and super professional
- his knowledge of Egyptian history was so impressive
- he went above and beyond to ensure the whole tour was enjoying their time. Even when a few of us got sick he was checking on us and helped us out with ensuring we had the right medication to make us better
- very friendly, kind and approachable
- his English is amazing
I have never had a tour guide like Mo before, he is a very valuable asset to your team at travel talk and it is because of him I’m recommending your brand and also planning my next travel talk tour.
My last point on overall feedback on the tour, I’d say out of all the beautiful accomodation we stayed at The Oasis was probably the most poor, especially when it came to their food.
Another lot of feedback would be to promote the option of flying from Dahab back to Cairo. You’d probably find if people knew they could fly to/from Dahab they would definitely choose that option. 13 hour bus rides are not fun.

Just beware that the extra expenses not included are very pricey at times. The meals were definitely way too expensive in comparison to what you'd pay for normal meals in Egypt. I didn't enjoy them rushing us from one site to take us to an art shop or some other sales shop where they try to sell us various souvenirs. I would have rather had more time at the temples. But I guess the tour company has various deals worked out to include the sales pitches in our itinerary. The bus could have been better. It was comfortable for the shorter travel times but sleeping on it was horrible and we all had neck aches afterwards. The accommodation was fair. Wasn't great but wasn't bad either. I wouldn't consider either of the hotels 5 stars, or at least the rooms they give us are more a 4 star than a 5 star. The 4 star Oasis hotel is more like a 3 star.
Regardless of the negative parts, I had a great time and would likely use the travel company again. I just wish they included a bit more in their prices as I constantly felt that they were adding extra expenses (presumably so the initial fee is as low as possible). So don't be fooled by the low initial price. This tour is likely as expensive as every other tour company.
Just want to reiterate that Mo was great and had a lot of knowledge on ancient Egypt that he wasn't afraid to share with us. Best tour guide I've ever had.

1. A heart of gold. To be a good tour guide you have to essentially... be nice. It sounds ridiculous as everyone can be nice, but there are some people in this world who always go the extra mile for people, and Mo is one of them!
2. An expert in his field. Never have I had a tour guide who knows so much about the local culture and history (this is coming from someone who has visited over 50 countries on many tours). Any question I had Mo knew the answer.
3. One of the group. There was never a feeling of “us” and “the tour guide”. We were Mo and he was us. He perfectly assimilated himself into the group dynamic making it easy to get along with him and feel like he was a friend rather than an employed service.
4. Sense and sensibility. I have been on tour groups before where certain members of the group are, let’s say, “wilder” than others and cause a stir. There was no exception this time however Mo handled it like a champion and never let this have an effect on the overall group dynamic.
5. A hero. I got lost in the souks and he managed to save me and know exactly where I was simply from a picture of my surroundings. I’m an idiot and it was completely my fault but Mo never made me feel that way. Instead he saved my bacon and got me back to the group.
All in all, Mo should win an award! Great guy and great stuff!

Meals were good, but on my time after the tour, I found that most food was much cheaper than the restaurants we were taken to. That said, I'm glad that no one got sick.
Accommodation was mostly good; I wasn't as big of a fan for the first/last hotel called Oasis Hotel. Their breakfast was not up to par compared to the other accommodations, including the other hotels and the felucca ride itself.
The bus was good and the driver was great, but the bathroom did not hold up well in the Egypt heat.
Overall, wonderful trip that was great with a few minor things that could be fixed.

Some hate points: the bus is incredibly uncomfortable and not suited for the 10hr bus rides. It's also disappointing the bus doesn't provide snacks or food on these journeys especially since the rest stops used along the way barely have anything good to eat.
Another hate point is that the tour doesn't include all costs. I think this was clear to me upfront but it's annoying to come on a tour and have to exchange money with the tour company multiple times during the trip. E.g. optional extras were paid on day two, but not all of them (one had to be paid on day 5). Not all meals are included so thats paid daily. Tips? The tour will take it on day one but the guide on the last day. And teven though it's known when booking you end up forgetting and it becomes a bit of a surprise when they ask for the money. It's just annoying and I'd rather pay a bit more when booking the tour and have peace of mind.
Overall great experience though on the tour!

We opted for the cruise instead of the felluca and I'm so happy we did! Instead of sleeping on a boat deck sardine style with no bathroom and pre packaged meals we has our own comfortable rooms with a shower and a very good buffet!
Our guide Mo was fantastic! The is very knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and does a good job teaching us about what we were looking at! There's a ton of information in a short amount of time! Mo is very organized and did a great job making sure everyone knew what was going on the next day as well as what you'd need and how you should dress.
Overall it was a great tour that I would recommend!

Mo our tour guide was outstanding. He was very passionate about his job and very patient with all the questions asked during the trips. He was caring and looked after the group very well. We all loved his story telling and sense of humour. My favourite was our visit to Abu Semble temple . Although it was too hot, Mo made sure we used our time wisely. The giant statues were amazing.

He knew all the tips and tricks to miss the crowds and how to deal with the locals trying to sell us their wares at each of the temples, even giving tips on how to barter and how much to pay. He was also very efficient at keeping us all on time and making sure that time wasn't wasted by waiting for people to get back to the coach. The tour ticked off all the places we wanted to see and in our case my husband wanted to also see the Bent and Red pyramids - Bishoo from TravelTalk dealt with all the arrangements to make sure he got to visit them on our last day. This was our first time doing a tour and it was a very positive experience, As a result we will be looking at what other tours TravelTalk run around the world for future trips. Can highly recommend this tour for discovering Essential Egypt and especially TravelTalk.

Itinerary on many days meant we could not have lunch until 4:00pm or later. Often there was little or no choice on lunch or dinner venues.

Seat belts on all buses were deliberately jammed between seats to make them difficult if not impossible to use.
Bus used in Cairo at end of tour had what appeared to be vomit lodged in cup tray and seat-back tray.
Guide could have given more background information before stopping at vatious attractions.
Guide encouraged us to delay purchases to end of tour visit to Cairo msrket, then grossly inadequate time was allocated to market visit.
All arrangements in busy and complicated schedule worked well.

Our tour guide Mo was AMAZING. He helped make our trip as great as it was. Everyone took such great care of my family and I and we never once felt unsafe. Everyone was extremely nice and friendly. Mo went above and beyond and anything we needed he took care for us. This is a lifetime trip and if you are considering going I 100% say you should do it. You will not regret it.

Mo is an excellent tour guide and is obviously very skilled at managing large groups of 40+. He did everything within his power to ensure we saw everything - all you need to do as a tourist is accept that you will have to wake up early on most days. This is the reality if you want to see all of these ancient gems in a short time frame - it’s a small price to pay for a lifetimes worth of memories.
The hotels are excellent on the most part - 4/5 stars. Note that wifi and data in general is not great in Egypt, so be prepared for that.
Advice in terms of the optional items is to absolutely not skip Abu Simbel - it was easily one of the best parts of the trip. We also enjoyed the Nubian dinner.
If you are looking for a relaxing holiday or prefer to explore places on your own time then this tour is not for you. We paid because we wanted to feel safe in Egypt and because we wanted to see a lot of it in a short space of time. This tour was able to meet our expectations.
General Tips:
Add on a leg to Alexandria before or after your trip. It’s well worth a visit.
The suggested lunch options on tour are approx. 130 Egyptian Pounds pp. This is well worth it, generally buffet format, and you are ensured of safely cooked meals.
There are long bus rides that span from between 3 hours and 10 hours. Make sure to pack headphones and download music, Netflix shows, e books etc to pass the time. A neck pillow could be useful too! This is your best opportunity for sleep over a full on 9 days.

I felt that he truly cared about us, and made sure we had the best trip possible whilst trying to balance everyone's different needs for information, activities etc. He made sure to inform us of scams and other tourist traps or rip offs. Everyday of the trip he was punctual and cheerful, even one day on the cruise when he was a bit under the weather, he still rocked it and gave us an awesome tour that day, whilst still cracking jokes where he could. Mo always made sure we knew what the itinerary was from day one and continued to inform us day by day as it can be a lot to digest in one day. We were never left wondering what was going to happen that day or where we were going to end up. He also made sure to give us a bit of free time where he could and always had the best food recommendations when we were on our own for meals. I cannot say enough good things about Mo and his endless knowledge of Egypt and its history. I wish every tour group had a leader like Mo!

The pace was perfect for seeing different attractions. Day 1 in Cairo was my perfect touring day with the pyramids, the Sphinx, and camel riding.
You had the option to go on a felucca or stay in the (superb) hotel in Aswan for 2 days which was a nice mid-tour break from the action. Our tour guide Mo took us into Aswan that day and showed us around the markets which was a nice cultural addition. This was not in the itinerary so was very nice for him to do during our free time.
Mo was really very good at guiding. I’ve read a lot about Egypt but he was able to point out certain things in the temples that I would have completely missed. He added so much to the experience and really helped bring ancient Egypt to life. I’d recommend him as the absolute perfect tour guide for Egypt.
The meals were good. The only thing I’d recommend is that for lunches, they should have it as “included” and add to the tour price since there are not many options to pick from that are safe to eat locally. Mo had everything arranged and restaurants vetted (that was excellent) and would grab us some cheap falafels when we were driving during the day.
Overall, the high quality guide (with a Masters degree in Egyptian history) sets this tour apart from others. Hotels were very good, the group size perfect, bus very comfortable, and itinerary absolutely spot on.

While the itinerary is great along with the guide, accomodation and Travel Talk staff there is no inclusions so expect to pay for everything. Not even a single bottle of water was provided throughout the entirety of the tour. During this tour a lot of time is spend on the bus given the ground covered. The bus is a normal seated bus which I feel isn’t ideal, a sleeper bus would be more suitable for the distance covered on this tour. Furthermore, with meals not included you are pushed into commission restaurants with no other choice then to buy overpriced meals. In conclusion this tour was good myself and my partner had an enjoyable experience and would consider a Travel Talk tour again. Just remember when booking you get what you pay for.

Never in our wildest dreams did we think we'd travel…We had an amazing experience on the Egypt & Jordan Discovered By Felucca (from Cairo to Amman) TravelTalk tour. Talk about a bucket list adventure! Never in our wildest dreams did we think we'd travel to Egypt AND Jordan in one trip...seeing the pyramids/temples/tombs in person, sailing on the Nile, snorkeling and scuba diving (TWICE) in the Red Sea, floating on the Dead Sea, sleeping in the desert, and hiking to the monastery in Petra. If you're considering this "mission" as our tour guide Mo called it, GO!! Egypt's tourism is on an upswing and we felt safe with our group the entire time. Yes there are long days and bus rides, but that's all part of doing a tour. We met great people, learned A LOT, saw A LOT, and had a fabulous time.

I wish that we had a more detailed daily itinerary—ours didn’t even include the times at which we did things. Additionally, I was frustrated by all the small charges we paid during the trip. The additional excursions and entrance fees really add up. At the very least, we should be able to pay the entrance fees for the attractions in Egypt when we book the tour. Other than that, I enjoyed the tour, our guide, and the incredible countries of Egypt and Jordan.
