Komodo Island Hopper was an excellent tour! You can't beat the price of the tour for what you get.

I have been on many organized tours and this was one of the better ones. You spend 3 nights in Lombok, 2 nights in Sumbawa, 2 nights on a boat and 1 night in Labuan Bajo.
I would definitely book another TruTravels tour.
Props to Nelly for keeping everyone entertained.

I really enjoyed all the activities and trips, especially learning how to surf and the bike ride. The tour guide, Nelly was great but at times could be quite irritating and took a mick out of me quite a bit. However, was a great laugh and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else. Love you Nelly!!! Xx

Although, I definitely had the MOST fun with him as my guide. He was very friendly and sometimes funny. Defo made the trip TEN TIMES BETTER and can't imagine Bali without him!!! Although he did not help when I nearly drowned paddleboarding but instead laughed and filmed!!!!! <3 LOVE YOU NELLY!!!! But never speak to me again. LOL. Xx xx xx

However, the itinerary could be improved with better activities/optional activities, especially in Gili Trawangan. However, it was a good balance of pace and adventure.
Thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling, and rice terraces visit. However, I could have done without the monkey forest and use that for a massage or Balinese dance show.

I really enjoyed the surfing lesson and snorkeling days in particular because the local guides involved were really nice. the temple day was also really fun, as the guide Wayan, was so funny and informative. over all the trip was very enjoyable and I felt I saw a lot of different places in Bali and and Lombok.

The accommodation was also lovely and the tour made things so much easier as sometimes finding accommodation can be difficult. Also even though not all food was included in the tour, our group leader helped us find some great places to eat. Our tour group, including group leader was amazing! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, especially if you want to see lots if cool things in Bali and meet some great people! I would definitely book this tour again with TruTravels.

This was the perfect experience. Lots if really fun activities at a laid back pace, with air conditioning transport. Wayan was such a brilliant local guide who gave us a taste of the true Bali culture…This was the perfect experience. Bali and Gili Trawangan are actual paradise and Nelly took us to amazing places in the evening for sunsets. my favourite place was Gili T. I wish I could stay here forever. I feel like everyone should have this experience with trutravels. I'll cherish it forever. Nelly made it really special. Thank you!

Nelly was great at offering ideas for things to do on our down time as well as helping sort out travel and accommodation for after the tour ends! I couldn't recommend this tour and TruTravels enough! I'm not sure what I was expecting before the trip, maybe hostels, no pools, etc. But as soon as I got here I knew that wasn't going to be the case. Anyone could come on this tour and they would feel at home and not stressed at all. The activities keep you busy, but then you still have some free time to just sit and chill by the pool! The group leader, Nelly was awesome; you could really tell he loves his job. Nelly was always up for a laugh but then also serious and caring when needed. Overall, this has been an experience I will NOT forget!

Nelly, our tour guide was exceptional, extremely attentive and a really nice guy to spend the entire tour with, always having a laugh and making sure the group was having the best time possible.
I especially liked being on the boat, where the crew, especially Anton, were really lovely guys, who cooked some amazing local food.
The only criticism I have would be time spent on the "Komodo trek," as I thought we would spend longer on shore and actually go hiking for the dragons as opposed to walking along a path with minimal wildlife. But the time we have spent on tour was awesome. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone. I also would highly recommend our guide, Nelly.

Overall my Komodo Island experience was amazing. both accommodation and transport were always good - especially the live-aboard boat; it was the my favourite part of the trip. I wish it was longer!

The trip was also made better thanks to Nelly! He was a great tour guide who was always helpful and professional yet he knew how to have fun!!
My only criticism is about the Komodo dragon tour as I think we could of had longer there and I expected the local guide to search for animals along the way. I felt as though we just saw the bare minimum. However seeing the dragons was amazing in comparison to other trutravel tours I think the Komodo islands has one of the best itineraries - as you would struggle to do it alone and the itinerary covers a huge range. Swimming with manta rays, seeing Komodo dragons, and living on the boat were the main highlights to my trip, along with a great tour guide. I would 100% recommend this tour to a friend.
Unless they don't like boats or lots of traveling - but definitely worth it and a lot of value for money!

However, I am happy with my group and group leader, Nelly. All of the activities were well planned and organised. I always knew what the plan was for the day and everything ran smoothly from the transportation to the activities themselves. I always felt included in the day activities and didn't feel pressured into doing anything I didn't want to do.
Thank you TruTravels and Nelly for an unforgettable trip! I am already excited to book the next one!

The itinerary is not too packed and you got to see many different things without feeling exhausted - there's plenty of time to relax.
Nelly was super friendly, funny and always made sure every member of the group felt fine. He was open to suggestions or slight changes in the plan for the day and made everything feel relaxed.
I can recommend the tour- but if you do the volcano trek make sure you have warm clothes and be sure that you're well enough that day ;)
My personal highlight was snorkelling with turtles.

What particularly made the tour so good was the tour guide Nelly, who was always engaging and fun to be around. He offered many great suggestions for things to do in our downtime and always accompanied us. However, there was never a feeling that you had to participate in something you did not want to do.
The accommodation was good in all places and was very clean. however the accommodation in Gili T was about a 10 minute bike to the strip and could do with being slightly closer - especially for nights out.
The activities were good, but the more adventurous ones could be a little longer in duration.

Nelly found a brilliant balance between making us feel welcome and as if he was a part of the group as opposed to simply being the tour guide to also being professional and easy to talk to. Nelly has really helped to make the tour what it was - fun, enjoyable and informative. I really enjoyed learning about the local culture in particular.
The only negative comments would just be that before the tour starts it would be nice to know which days are which activities and when our spare time would be so more planing could be done for the alone time. I have done a tour with G Adventures and they had an app you could download, maybe this could be something TruTravels looks into as well.

Surfing guides were great however, the day was very short - should be longer. Ubud was the best place on the trip!
Bike ride should be changed for another activity as you use a bike the whole time in Gili, so feel that was misinterpreted. More details should be given on room details.

Nelly was a fantastic guide, maintained professionalism but also felt like a friend. Some activities such as the temples I didn't find interesting (this could be due to extensive travel in Asia and I've seen a lot of temples). However, Wayan was very funny and interesting. I would have liked to visit Uluwatu temple.
Accommodation was decent and I felt overall it was decent value for money. Only downside was the location of KOA hotel was far from the centre.
I really enjoyed biking around Gili - this part of the trip felt very chilled and was a nice way to end the trip.

There are things I have seen to do in Bali that are not on the tour which I think could maybe be looked at. eg. Uluwatu temple and the mountain hike up Mt. Batur.
The tour of the food markets was horrible and put me off wanting to eat any food, not ideal when you then go off to do a cooking lesson.
Hotels were ok for the money we payed. The bikes in Gili are available at all times, so it's a bit cheeky to advertise a bike ride, when we actually rode bikes every day there.
The snorkelling trip was a personal highlight, more time with the turtles would have been good ;)

I was surprised by the excellent standard of accommodation, which was clean and offered good breakfasts each day. However, as a single traveller I was surprised by the amount of couples/existing friends on the tour. As a result, I would not recommend this tour to single travellers. I would however, highly recommend it to travelling groups/couples. FYI, the tour guide, Nelly, was GREAT!

I have experienced things I wouldn't have on my own and had the backup of being on a tour. From the pickup at the airport to all the transport and activities included I was very impressed. The best part was the trek up to Mount Batur and Nelly organised this for us. Overall, it was a fabulous experience and I would definitely recommend it to my friends as there are only a few rooms for improvement. e.g. communication prior to the tour regarding transport on Gili Trawangan. However, there are more pros to cons on this tour as literally everything is organised for you and you are made to feel at ease.

Nelly, our tour leader was great; very laid back and he didn't force anyone to do anything they didn't want to do. He was always there when we needed him! Joined on nights out and got everyone involved! He also took all our ideas onboard to make the trip our own. I was lucky enough to spend my birthday in Bali. We even changed the plans to go to Mexicola! Definitely a birthday to remember! Thank you Tru!

It was my first travelling trip and overall I loved it! Transport was the only real downside - bus from Canggu to Ubud was far too hot, and couldn't function and we got left in the ocean on the snorke…It was my first travelling trip and overall I loved it! The activities were incredibly fun and I really learnt about the culture. I made some crazy friends that I wouldn't have met without this experience. Nelly made some great recommendations with food and nights out. This was the experience of a lifetime and I can't wait for my next one!

He has been very helpful with things such as recommending great places to eat/drink, explaining the culture of Bali when we didn't quite understand, accessing a sim card and a few little things not every traveller could figure out for themselves. Nelly was very good at communicating and very quick with replies when needed. He was always in a positive mood and kept the spirit going throughout the group. I would recommend this trip to anyone who is considering it. Overall a very lovely guy with great knowledge of Bali! ;)

Experiencing and learning about the Balinese culture was truly amazing! Our tour guides were extremely friendly and it felt more like a a friendship between us, which I really liked. The places that we visited were breathtaking! Snorkelling was my favourite activity. I'm afraid of the ocean so I never thought I would do something like that. I was able to experience this trip with my cousins and sister which was great! Gili T was my absolute favourite! I wish we had more time there.

Also, the snorkelling was incredible! We saw underwater statues, turtles and so many different kinds of fish; it was such a colourful view for us. We got so many incredible recommendations from our group leaders about shops, restaurants, massage parlours and even what to be careful for! They will also do something for you without asking them; definitely go out of their way to keep us happy. They both made it fun and I never had any regrets. I would suggest maybe to add a few activities as there is quite a lot of free time which you can't always use best. Maybe look at adding river rafting to the list! I would've really wanted to do that. Canggu was chilled, so maybe add something there. My overall experience was brilliant! Freddie and Nelly, thanks for always bringing the best and making it so memorable! I am definitely not ready to leave!! 2 awesome people just became part of my family. <3

Even when they were slowly and duller periods, e.g. the car journeys, everyone was talking, singing and getting along. The accommodation was much better than what I had expected, although it wasn't 5 star hotels I was very pleasantly surprised. Overall, I feel like myself and everyone else on the tour got a great taste of Bali that we wouldn't have likely experienced going to Bali solo! I would highly recommend TruTravels to anyone!

Every day ran on time and very smoothly, the transport was very reliable and every local driver was welcoming. The accommodations are a great standard and in great areas. Shout out to Nelly for being a legend tour leader.

Can safely say that I have well and truly fallen in love with beautiful Bali! From the culture, food and lifestyle to the wonderful locals that taught us all about their precious island. From start to finish the itinerary was jam packed, with each activity offering something different to experience and enjoy. Would also 100% recommend the Mount Batur sunrise trek, a once in a lifetime experience with insane views! But I think what really made the trip was the amazing people that were along for the ride! Did not stop laughing from start to finish and our tour guide Nelly did an incredible job of looking after us all, making sure that everyone felt included from the moment the tour began. I honestly could not recommend this trip highly enough and will definitely be taking another adventure with Tru Travels very soon!

All accommodation was above expectations and amazing value for money. Loved the girls on the tour and our leader Nelly was great. He was very organised and super friendly; looked after everyone on the tour and made every day good fun. Favourite part of the tour was the waterfalls and cliff jumping in Lovina, and definitely surfing in Canggu! Nelly also took us to great eating spots like the mexican food in Ubud!

If one thing could be improved I would say the floating temples in Lovina were not very good, the whole thing was touristy with giant frogs and spongebobs. I've heard there are other temples that could be worth checking out. Apart from that, absolutely fantastic tour!
