Our tour leader - Sammy was simply incredible! :) We couldn't have asked for a better group leader, life mentor, karaoke teacher and travel buddy! Thanks to Sammy's amazing knowledge and enthusiasm about Japan we got to know this country and it's culture very well and we could tell that this is not just a job to her but it's also her passion! Sammy is definitely the right person for this job and leading tours in Japan, I'll keep her and this country in my heart forever :)

Great way to pop my Japan cherry! Sammy was a fab leader and any group would be lucky to have her. Went at the start of November, weather was lovely and sunny and we got to see Fuji perfectly
The intro travel 9 day Vietnam tour was amazing. I loved the whole experience and I am so glad that I did that trip. Highlights for me included the cruise along Halong Bay and the Private Island stay.

The accommodation and travel provided was always comfortable with air-con and free drinking water and the home stays surroundings and general vibe once there was excellent. My tour leader Sammy also had a lot of knowledge which she shared throughout the trip. She was very interactive with everyone in my group from more or less stepping off the plane and this continued throughout the trip, she always involved herself in our activities and was always a lot of fun during the tour. All in all the tour itself was great value in terms of money the enjoyment I had and the people I met. Will be looking in future to book another one.

There is a lot of activities packed into the itinerary so it's a very busy 12 days but you do a lot in a short space of time so perfect if you want to see it all quickly.
Sammy is an amazing guide, it's very clear that she is passionate about her job and about Vietnam. She is very knowledgeable about it all. By the end of it she is more than just a guide but also a friend.

It was a great itinerary- more fun and more than I thought I would learn about Cambodia in 9 days. The weather was not always great (for not rides!) and sometimes the unexpected happens. This is what really made the tour though! 100% recommend Cambodia and Sammy (and Dave!)

Her communication has been great before, during and after. I had some personal stuff going on as the trip finished but she was very supportive and encouraged me not to let it ruin the rest of my time travelling (I went straight on Vietnam Intro with Fleur after Cambodia)! Thank you Sammy for an amazing time! You played a great part in the trip of a lifetime and I’m already looking forward to my next two intro trips I’ve put deposits down for! Not sure any of the other group leaders will be able to top your dance moves though!!!

I did things I never would have done on my own, and the amount of stuff you get included for the price is insane! I’ve never ever seen a trip with such a good itinerary as well as so much included - lots of meals, a flight, an overnight train (really really clean and modern), a night on a 5* backpacker boat, all the activities, all accommodation (which was such a high standard! We were all so surprised!) Intro travel have really done well here and I will 100% be doing a tour with them again. If you want to do Vietnam in a reasonably short space of time but still see a lot, this is the tour for you. It’s fab! It was also so cool to have such a great tour leader so if you get Sammy you’re very lucky!!!!

It was incredible to travel with Sammy who was able to dip into different roles as a friend, guide, and manager with ease and professionalism. Accommodation was generally good - although more than one fan is needed in the Koh Rong rooms given how hot it was. In Vietnam Sammy was really knowledgeable and helpful often going above and beyond to assist people. On the final night we found out this was Sammy’s first tour of Cambodia - needless to say it was seamless and no one realised which is a testament to all her efforts!

I met an amazing group of people on the tour who really made the experience better than expected, however what really made it was our tour leader Sammy! She was incredible throughout the entire tour. From weeks before the tour started she always responded to emails and even gave me a list of things to do in Hanoi before I met the group. Throughout the 12 days Sammy ran the tour so smoothly I didn’t have to think about organising anything, she was very informative of every destination and really made an effort to bring the group together; especially during free time she would suggest places to go, things to do or get the group together to play games. Cultural stuff like museums, theatres etc. or more direct contact with Vietnamese people would have been nice if included in the itinerary; we visitied a few museums during freetime though.
Sammy was awesome! Always in high spirits, caring for the tour participants and looking out for everyone. She created a welcoming and warm atmosphere and made sure that all questions and wishes were answered. Had a really good time with her!

The people you meet are amazing the locals and your fellow tourists. If you have never been to Vietnam this is a great way to learn the ropes your tour leader has a wealth of knowledge and tips for navigating some of those cultural barriers and if you are a seasoned traveller then why not take to stress of packpacking out of the equation and get a taste of Vietnam before jumping in the deep end. The tour length means you can jump in see some amazing sights and then by the end be well equipped to travel onward by yourself. Intro tour are so awesome I have already put a deposit down for another one of their tours. 10/10 thanks so much Sammy you are amazing :D

The itinerary worked really well visiting the two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh as well as some of the most beautiful parts of Vietnam such as Ha Long Bay, Nimh Binh and Hoi An. There were a couple of minibus trips but we were never driving for much longer than a few hours and the overnight train was a fun experience I'll never forget. Before the tour I had my concerns about what the homestays were like but they were far and away my favourite two places to stay on the tour but all the accommodation was pretty good. Sammy was an amazing guide and you'll be lucky to get her if you book on this tour. She is very friendly and helpful plus being knowledgeable with lots of information on the sights you see as well as knowing the best places to eat, drink and party! It was an amazing tour from start to finish, I was planning my next one before I'd even arrived home!

The group was fantastic and everyone was very friendly and positive, and the group leader Sammy, was lovely and immediately put everyone at ease.
The itinery was very well balanced- a good mixture of sightseeing (in Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh), activities (kayaking in Ha Long, biking in Ninh Binh) and a great chance to sample the nightlife (though there was never any compulsion/expectation to drink).
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is new to Vietnam. I think you'd be very hard pressed to fit in as many activities in the same space of time if you were travelling solo. Plus, there are many things which you wouldn't try as a solo-traveller (catfish fishing, cooking classes etc) and you'd be really missing out.
The tour, and the morale of the group, was really helped by having an excellent tour leader-Sammy. She made sure that everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. She was also did an excellent job of managing all 20 of us throughout the different transport and accommodation transfers- no mean feat!

Sammy one of the nicest person I've met. Although we were a quiet big group she had everything under control. I can say for sure she is totally made for this job!

I couldn’t recommend Sammy more! She was so fun, had loads of information for everywhere we went and always kept us in check! As a bigger group, she was so accommodating and made sure we were always okay and getting the most out of the tour. Looking into organising IntroTravel Japan tour when I’m back... fingers crossed I get Sammy again!! I leave Vietnam with life long friends and the most amazing memories, thank you IntroTravel and Sammy!!
