I loved climbing mount batur for sunrise, absolutely beautiful. Swimming with turtles in Gili T was awesome and the manta rays that we got up close with while sailing through the Komodo islands was unforgettable. We also climbed padar island for sunset and it was an outstanding view. Wouldn't change. Thing on this tour as I thought the entire thing was absolutely great

Thoroughly enjoyed the the entire trip which made the 18 days go much faster than I would've liked. Gili T was a major highlight for me being able to swim with turtles and there were so many. The monkey sanctuary we went to in ubud was next level and it really stood out for me, as well as climbing to the top of Padar island for sunset where you could see so many many of the kimono islands in the landscape as far as the horizon was visible. I would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for an extraordinary experience with fantastic people.

The volcano hike was easily one of the most spectacular sights of the trip, the view was emotional! The snorkeling was completely insane, you have to see it to believe it, and seeing all the islands and beaches during the boat trip, pretty much everything!!! EPIC! Loved my wee group, it really felt like a family, and really couldn't fault it in anyway. Chev by was super cool and really brought the trip to life and made sure we were all having the most fun we could at all times. The sights and memories, I will carry with me for life ☺️

I loved surfing early on in the trip but the last leg of the tour living on a boat for 3 days was by far my favorite as we got to see so many untouched islands and seeing wild komdo dragons roaming the land. I also have to praise the chef on the boat who was fantastic and all the guys on the boat crew were very friendly

Amazing trip that included experiences that I had never done before. It was nice to go to remote places that had few tourists. I made some really good friends and some memoreies i will never forget. It would be hard for me to pick a favorite part of the trip, the surfing lesson and snorkeling with turtles and manta rays was awesome and also exploring some of the Hindu temples in Bali with a local guide who's knowledge of the history and culture of Indonesia was remarkable. But the live aboard boat was my favourite as it was an amazing experince being able to visit remote islands and snorkeling through some beautiful coral reefs. Overall it was really outstanding tour and Chev was a great tour leader who was fun, informative and his knowledge of the local language really helped in the more remote places and allowed him gain a lot of respect from the local people. Thank you very much for a great trip.

I also though that the chef on the boat was absolutely fantastic cooking us local food every day and the local guys on the boat were very friendly

For me it would be difficult to outline my favorite activity on this trip. The 3 day boat trip was an amazing experience visiting all the islands and stopping at beautiful snorkeling spots, waterfalls and then to top it off swimming with manta rays and turtles. It was a really great trip that I will reccommend to the rest of my friends. Chev was a great tour leader and his knowledge of the local language really helped in some sticky situations in the more remote places and gained him a lot of respect from the local people. THANKS FOR A GREAT TRIP!

I was also so wonderful having a local guide at the temples showing us around with great knowledge of Indonesia and it's history was was really nice. Wouldve been nice to have more local guides in some of the places and I just wish we had more time at certain places of the trip, but still had the best time

Chevvy was also an amazing team leader who was a lot of fun and always knew how to make us laugh. I also really enjoyed surfing in Kuta even though I was beginner it was loads of fun learning, as well as the snorkeling boat trip we did on the Gili islands was really enjoyable. we had some great night out in Gili with the team which were especially fun.

The tour was the perfect way to put in a lot in a short space of time for those who aren’t in a position to just jump into the backpacker life. My favourite activities were exploring the rice terraces and the cooking class but also scuba diving was an option which I had time to arrange separate from the group in Gili without missing anything on the itinerary. The tour guides Chevvy and Kelsey were great at keeping everyone involved and making sure we were all happy PLUS having hundreds of photos for everyone each day which meant lots of great photos of the group

Everything is very well planned. From getting picked up in the airport to the very end.
Chevvy is a very carrying, outgoing and funny person. Always makes sure that everyone in the group is having the best time.
He speaks a bit Indonesia aswell which was really impressive. We had like a ‘word of the day’ where Chevvy would teach us how to say things like thank you’. ‘I’m just walking’ how are you’ and so on.
So glad I did the tour definitely worth it all.
And I would really hope to have Chevvy as my tour guide again on one of my next adventures !!!

This trip has been amazing, not just all the amazing places and things we have done on the way but the way our tourgouide Chevvy Roberts, prosented it! He made it feel like we were all just a big frie…This trip has been amazing, not just all the amazing places and things we have done on the way but the way our tourgouide Chevvy Roberts, prosented it! He made it feel like we were all just a big friend group on a trip around Bali and Gili and having a really good time, but still being professional and just knowing what he’s doing at all times. Chevvy has also been really good getting everyone onboard and in the conversation and never leaving anyone behind.
At one time I got really sick and needed medical help, and Chevvy was there straight away and supported along the way.
Chevvy is a very out going’s person and talks a lot to the locals as well, we could definitely see that because everywhere we went he was like a local Hero.
I really enjoyed me Bali Experience Trip and I would definitely do it all again.
And I would definitely also use TruTravels again for my ongoing adventures around the world.

Great to feel like a family for 10 days and a lot easier having transport and everything organised waiting for you. We went to places and did things i wouldn’t of known about or maybe bothered going to if it wasn’t for Chevvy so thank you very much for that. great 10 days and making me look at doing another try travels tour already!

Originally thought there wasn’t going to be enough adventures/activities and too much time for the itinerary. However throughout the 9 days, we managed to cover a lot of ground as well as learning a fair bit about the culture and the Balinese way of life. We had a small group which made it feel a bit more personal, when the tour guides would be looking after us, catering for us ect. Tour guide Chevy was marvellous! We found the accommodation in Ubud not great at all (rooms has mould and breakfast was very bland) but the other 2 hotels were much beautiful.

From being picked up at the airport to being thoroughly looked after throughout the tour. The activities were varied and included an amazing cooking class which started by you making your own offering, which was a lovely touch! We had a small group lead by Chevvy, with newbie Pedro. Both guys really put their all into making you feel special and bringing a fun atmosphere! I would recommend this tour to anyone who is travelling solo as all your transport, accommodation and activities are included which makes things a lot easier.

Chevvy our tour guide was good fun, always up for a joke, and was super informative and helpful. I felt the tour was pretty good value for money compared to other similar tours with different companies as the…The 10 day Bali tour was a fun experience and I would definitely recommend it to others. I felt the tour was pretty good value for money compared to other similar tours with different companies as the daily activities were included in the price however the first day of the tour was just a meal in the evening to meet the group and the last day was just to say goodbye in the morning so this felt like a waste of a couple days and shouldn't have been included in the 10 days.
All the accommodation was really good, especially the Koa D'surfer hotel in Kuta and the Nirvana hotel in Gili T with really friendly staff in both places.
I really enjoyed all the activities especially the snorkelling in Gili T, the surfing and the cooking class which gave an insight into Balinese cooking as well as making the flower offerings. The beach we went to for surfing was covered in plastic waste so that put a bit of a downer on it. I do think a couple more things could've been fitted into the 10 days but all the activities we did were of really good quality.
Chevvy was a really great tour guide and was friendly and good fun and took the effort to meet everyone at the airport. He was really friendly with the locals which was really nice to see especially as it meant he knew of cool bars and places to go to in the evenings. I would definitely use TruTravels again if I wanted to do another tour of somewhere.

At some points there felt like there was too much ‘chilling’ and maybe a few more activities would be beneficial, but many of the activities we did do will be lifetime memories; such as the cooking class and monkey forest. Transportation was a breeze as everything was arrabged for us. There was 1 main activity each day which was included in the tour price, but there were also some optional activities and free time if you wanted to book something separately. We usually had meals together as a group which was nice. Our guide was enthuiastic, helpful and pretty knowledgeable about the culture, areas we stayed, activities available etc. If you're a young person on a budget I would recommend this tour.

But I have to say value for money was not good at all for this tou…First of all I’d like to say chevvy was a really good guide and very helpful towards everything we asked once our tour was also over. But I have to say value for money was not good at all for this tour in total, £550 is a lot of money, especially in a place like Bali. The excursions weren’t great, excluding the rice terrace walk/the Indonesian cooking class/monkey forest (they were great). The beach where we got taken for our surfing lesson was awful it was a ocean full of rubbish and a beach that had dirty needles on it... the accommodation in ubud was terrible, dirty, loud, and the food was that bad it ended up making my partner ill for the remainder of our tour. Once again chevvy was great and the people running all the excursions were very nice, but I can’t help but think that if tru travels want to charge the prices they are, then they need to take a serious look at the tour in total .

Chevvy has a great personality, kept us 7 girls all laughing, very helpful and made the experience very memorable. He looked after us well, and showed us good tasty places for food and drinks. There was never a dull moment, he kept us all entertained- good conversation flow and keeping us together in the evenings. And a fun laugh on a night out. Overall very happy with how the tour went, and wish we had longer!

Planned transport also made life a lot easier and meant less stress for us planning ourselves. Having a guide throughout the trip was the most beneficial, we always had someone to give us advice on the area, look out for us and overall make the experience more enjoyable. Our guide was very friendly. Up for a good time and and all round fun to be with. Made everyone feel welcome and comfortable and brought the group together. Overall the trip was well Planned and very enjoyable, making traveling around somewhere much more enjoyable and stress free would definitely consider another tru travels tour.

Had a lovely experience with our team leader Chevvy .. we went too Bali and did all the best activities! My team leader went out of his way to make sure I was okay when I needed medicine etc. Although…Had a lovely experience with our team leader Chevvy .. we went too Bali and did all the best activities! My team leader went out of his way to make sure I was okay when I needed medicine etc. Although I had to change rooms in one of the hotels, the people at the desk where happy to do so. I would say this holiday is defiantly worth a go if you like to keep busy and stay active :)

He knew his way around Bali and the Gili islands and made sure all of us enjoyed ourselves even when we wasn’t with the group. So far TruTravels has always deliver, I might do a third trip with them only bcuz my time in Thailand back in January ‘17 with Andrew (another great tour guide) was why I booked Bali and it was so worth it. Like they say ‘just do it’ cuz you’re sure as hell won’t regret it

He made us all feel welcome and laugh constantly, even for the early starts! The activities we took part in were unreal, the volcano trek for the sunrise was the highlight. If you plan to go on the tour please read what is on the itinerary so you have an idea before you go, so you don’t moan when you get there which is just annoying for everyone else on the tour!! Also if you think you will be staying in a 5 star hotel every night, this isn’t the tour for you, and again your moaning will just annoy everyone else! Chevvy took us to so many amazing restaurants and bars and tried to cater to everyone. He always made sure that no one was going home alone and just brought so much fun to tour, he really made our trip!
