The festival itself was a truly unique experience and we were very lucky that the Haggis group had been invited to all-night party in the Town Hall itself. Highly recommendable tour company and trip!

The biggest plus was the guides we had , two legends Steve for first five days and then Kirsty for the last 5 days. Both guides smashed it and made an already good itinerary into a 5 star memorable trip that I’ll never forget. They both throw in a few extra unexpected additions to the tour and bend over backwards to help you out. Thank you both very much :)
A wide range of ages on board, I’m 58 years old and didn’t mind the dorm rooms at all, just take air plugs a good attitude and know what to expect.
After traveling thru over 100 countries I would rate this tour as one of my best

It made the trip so much more memorable and exciting. A definite highlight was Kirsty teaching me ceilidh dancing and the entire group going out dancing together at local club with live music and dancing. Unforgettable!

The accommodation was amazing in certain areas, others it was only lacking slightly. Some of the hostels offered breakfast included.
The guides knew where the best places to eat and drink where and gave their own recommendation.
The best hostel of the tour woudl be Morags Lodge!!
They offered entertainment in the evening and made all 3 nights we stayed,a night to remember!!
The bus we traveled on was very spacious and comfortable! The ferries we traveled on decided not to give us a smooth sailing, but this is out of anyone control.
To round it off, I have already told people they need to do this tour!!! I told friend to do it and she wont regret doing it!!

The only issue I found was that the hostel accommodation for the one night on the Isle of Skye at the Broadford youth hostel. This hostel was disgusting and full of bugs. Awful showers and not a good location to stay, especially during the summer months. Other than that the trip was wonderful and Kirsty was an absolute delight!

And when we had partied hard with the locals till morning and needed some sleep they quickly reacted and changed the tour plan, so that we could all have the much deserved rest and still see everything. That's what's special about Haggis. They do everything so that you have a terrific experience. So thanks again for what was one of my best weeks in my lifetime. Would definitely go again.

Went on a Highland Fling tour in December with Kirsty and had a blast! The group was wonderful, the sights breathtaking, the rusty nails killing and Kirsty's stories and great tunes on the road really made me feel that deep Scottish love. ;) It was also really nice that she was pretty flexible and really made an effort to include some things that we wanted to see in the itinerary. Nothing but love and I absolutely recommend going on this tour if you only have a certain amount of days and want to make the most out of seeing Scotland.

I really enjoyed myself and it was a great tour, but I'm going to list some of the irksome things that I hope will benefit those reading the reviews:
It's not a 7 day tour, the 7th day is just the day…I really enjoyed myself and it was a great tour, but I'm going to list some of the irksome things that I hope will benefit those reading the reviews:
It's not a 7 day tour, the 7th day is just the day you check out of the hostel by 10am, so should not be counted. Also the days spent in Edinburgh, there were a few evening activities that could be done with the Haggis group (mostly evening drinking parties), but most of these days we were left to our own devices to explore, which I don't have a problem with, excepting that I felt like we charged for these days as a "tour" which bugged me. Our tour guide Kirsty was really lovely and really informative, very professional and made an effort to learn our names and interact with us during the days. The tour was well structured and the stops and scenery were incredible. We were actually 2 buses travelling in tandem and staying at the same places and stopping at the same stops, so it wasn't really a small group of 25, more like a huge group of 50 - not necessarily a bad thing just wanted to point it out.
I think this particular Highlands/Hogmanay tour catered to a slightly more party/drinking atmosphere than what I would personally go for, but I still had an absolute blast. Again though I can't get over the price of the tour. Would absolutely recommend doing the Haggis 3 day Highlands tour (which was the first half), but don't pay for the Highlands/Hogmanay combo, as you could easily just pay for a hostel in Edinburgh and explore the city yourself without officially being on a tour, it would be the same experience without the price tag. Although the ceilidh was a highlight of the trip for me.

I had so much fun doing Ceilidh and seeing the incredible, brilliant, rich country that is Scotland. I love it here and I met the best people, learnt the coolest stuff and saw the most gorgeous sights. This country is amazing and Haggis showed it to me in the most amazing ways

I wanted it to be about eighteen days longer so we could fit more in, and go more places and see more things, but 5 days is just the right amount of time - it was busy, but no one had time to get sick, it was quick, but we still got to do as much as we possibly could and learnt a lot about Scottish culture and history on the way. There's not loads and loads of driving, but when you are driving, the bus is comfy so you don't even mind that there is driving to be done! Highly recommend the chippy in Oban, and pushing yourself to do the hike ("hike") in Glencoe!

I'm Scottish (and living in Scotland) - I went on this trip because it offered the opportunity to see my very, very beautiful country at a leisurely pace without the need to work out the logistics of …I'm Scottish (and living in Scotland) - I went on this trip because it offered the opportunity to see my very, very beautiful country at a leisurely pace without the need to work out the logistics of getting to each gorgeous location. I recommend this trip to everyone - and Kirsty was engaging throughout. I particularly loved the opportunity to walk about the likes of the Old Man of Storr, (I'm a keen walker - I would have loved the chance of more time in the Glencoe area which is frankly breathtakingly beautiful). My only gripe is the delivery of the Scottish history, it felt a little like retelling by Disney, and not to be taken seriously, but this is I realise is subjective. Unforgivable, however, is the little explanation given around the "sculptor", Andy Scott... He's a former GSA graduate and pretty successful. The kelpies were described as being "built as roadside art"... I think a little more was involved in their "creation" (sorry Kirsty lass, but as a former GSA graduate myself I couldnae let the description slide).

Both of our guides Kirsty and Yvonne shared their love of the place they are from and their stories with us. I felt like a part of all of it and got to experience something real. You could tell they have pride in their country and are willing to share it with their guests. I am going to miss all our “wee walks” when I go back home. A mix of on-site activities, walks, historical locations and landscapes to make a well-rounded trip. On the bus was a range of music and story-telling to match the history and legends of Scotland with sights about to be encountered, which really added to the tour. These insightful additions demonstrate the knowledge and understanding shown by the guides. The bus was really comfortable and I really appreciated that every seat had a usb port to charge your phone (very important for the amount of photos taken of the beautiful scenery!).
The hostels were all comfortable and clean. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend a Haggis tour to singles and couples.

I did two one day trips, and the five day highland fling. I was lucky enough to get kirsty for one of the day trips as well as the five day highland fling. Truly thankful Kirsty was our tour guide for the five day highland fling. The humor, the amazing stories, music, history of Scotland and just all around atmosphere all piled in with the amazing views made it a trip I'll remember forever. Kirsty loves what she does and it shows .. every morning she got on the bus smiling and excited for the day and that truly sets the mood and got everyone on board and excited as well. She's a one of a kind and a huge asset to the company.. I am always talking about her and how wonderful my time was in Scotland and will suggest If anyone is looking for an amazing company to show them what Scotland has to offer haggis adventures is truly the best. ....And hey maybe you'll get lucky and have Kirsty as well!!

Besides being an excellent and wonderful guide she is also a very good driver. Above all she is a magnificent person who we consider to be a lifelong friend. We can not recommend anyone more highly.

Regardless of the non-stop rain, she made it fun and adventurous. The history behind each scenery as we drove through Scotland was fascinating. Kirsty made sure we knew exactly what we were seeing and what the story behind it was. I have always loved touring with Haggis Adventures. I did so back in 2014 and again this past year 2017. I plan in 2019 to bring my 3 children with me this go around.

Kirstie was friendly, welcoming and entertaining the group with Scottish history and music( did not put us to sleep at all). She knew the perfect spots to stop over and take photos and she allowed the group to do their things at their own pace

I have been on a few tours before, but this was far the best. It was not commercialised, as a participant you were free to make your own choices and were not directed into a business owner's pockets like some tours. I would highly reccomend this tour.

Our first guide was Steve and second was Kirsty. Both are extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of their country. The tour had a good blend of stops at both historic sites and scenic areas where we could leave the bus and walk around to experience the landscape.

We loved everything! The so many places and their history. So many beautiful spots and their stories. All the castles and museums and geographic features. All the nature. It has been awesome.
