Choose Balkan was very organized and responsive to all requests, working with them made me more comfortable to make this booking. The tour itself was wonderful. It ended up being a solo tour where the guide, Ilir, made the experience highly personalized and adapted to my preferences. Ilir is extremely knowledgeable about Albanian culture and history and he shared many stories which enhanced the tour significantly. He's a great guide and you'd be lucky to have him! I would say this is not an intense hiking tour, yes there are two hikes, but it's more of a cultural/historical and shorter hike. for avid hikers who are seeking a an extended day or half day of hiking, this is maybe not the right fit.

North & South Albania: A 5 Day TourAltin was our guide - he trekked from Tirana to pick us up in Shkoder, and arrived on time. He was affable, knowledgeable and hilarious. My girlfriend and I drove with him in his electric vehicle. We hiked first to the northern Blue Eye of Albania, then drove to the Village of Theth, where we visited a family that many world leaders and diplomats seek counsel from. We had the flexibility to make alterations to our itinerary, and had a great time on the trip. We experienced true besa. I highly recommend!
