Rovaniemi Tours & Trips

The itinerary was great. We chose the 5D4N options. We had enough time for ourselves in Rovaniemi. Our guide Aurora was very nice to explain to her group - which had so many group types in different languages (Spanish, Italian, English). But she managed to explain to each one clearly on our itinerary. This tour was more like half guided tour, yet we have enough free time for ourselves to explore the area. It was good as we managed to cover the main activities: Husky sledge, snowmobile, Santa clause village (transport provided, but free and easy), aurora night. Sad that during our time, we couldn't see the aurora due to weather conditions. As this wasn't a "guaranteed" aurora tour, we just went to the spot and had bbq and drinks, and went back after an hour plus or so. There are private tours if you'd like to catch the aurora (guaranteed), just have to pay additional. It was also convenient to reach the hotel as the hotel is situated right opposite a bus stop. Rooms at the designated hotel was comfortable and spacious. The tour catered to specific dietary restrictions as well, which was good. Overall, we had a great experience at Lapland through this tour. Our guide, Karl, was very professional, very knowledgeable, and great company in social occasions. We would love to do another trip with him. Itinerary was great, only downside was the porridge breakfast on the train. Not to everone's taste!

There is too much much to say about how wonderful this trip was. From my first hotel Santa Clause hotel in the town of Rovaniemi, to the one night in a glass igloo at the arctic snow hotel it was epic!!!!! Husky sledding was so much fun, I entertained everyone by venturing off track and throwing myself and my passengers into deep snow it was hilarious. The reindeer sleigh ride was wonderful, through an enchanting forest with snow topped trees, snow falling on my face I was laying there thinking wow this is the life! Breakfast was lovely. Then wow to the arctic snow hotel, I've literally been telling every single person I meet they must go, the ice bar was great with banging tunes and having a cheeky shot then throwing the glass against the wall, it was so much fun. I also had a 3 course meal in the ice restaurant that night and it was delicious and such a beautiful place surrounded by ice carvings although -7 inside and that night it was -18 lol. Wow to the glass igloo, it was epic again I can't stop using that word, it was so comfortable and cosy inside compared to the bitter cold outside, lying on the bed looking at the stars and then seeing the northern lights was wonderful. The breakfast the next day was I think the best I've had anywhere in the world. Lingonberry crumble with caramel sauce...was only my starter lol. Thanku I've been asked who I booked with a few times and told everyone the details, it was wonderful xxx
