If you love hiking, this one is for you! The day before the start of this tour, I was asked to visit Choose Balkan's office. We had an overview/run through about the itinerary. The first day was in Theth. Fortunately, I was able to join a day trip to Theth. I was able to meet 2 amazing ladies on that day and the driver/ guide (Fabio) was fun and helpful. The short hike to "Blue Eye" is kind of a warm up for the second day hike from Theth to Valbona. The accommodations, transportation, and breakfasts are all covered in this tour so it's a matter of following the itinerary. It was a good experience to try some traditional meals from the guesthouses. You have the option if you want them to pack lunches on your hike/ travel and joined their dinner time. The second day hike was challenging so make sure to pack light with only the basic necessities you need as you are carrying your rucksack in your hike from Theth to Valbona. Reaching the Valbona peak is sooooo worth it! The level of difficulty is considered medium but having the right hiking gear helps a lot. It was dusty along the way and some slippery surfaces especially going down hill. The third day is a trip going back to Tirana. It was a great experience to ride the ferry and be amazed with what Komani Lake has to offer!

We had an amazing three days! It was a beautiful trip and Ervin was an excellent guide.. it was very nice to have somebody who is so passionate about the Alps and Albania! The views were stunning and the guesthouses were more than we could wish for! It was very hot, but because of the shade, the altitude and the fresh water springs the trip was the best place to be in very hot Albania! Would recommend!! Thank you Choose Balkans and a special thank you for Ervin!
